Campaign To Defeat Murtha: Lt. Col. William Russell Steps Up

A recent commenter (Stephen R. Maloney) on my article last month "Happy Birthday U.S.M.C.." left some interesting information that some of you may be interested in.



Lt. Col. William T. Russell is planning to run against Murtha as a Republican in the 12th Congressional District of Pennsylvania in the November 2008 election. Russell's web page can be found HERE. I highly recommend taking a look. The guy seems to have some pretty worthwhile things to say.

The web page is still pretty new, so some of the links on it have yet to be populated.


You can take a look at Russell's views HERE on basic everyday-ism, Taxes and Immigration. While I agree with most of his immigration stances, I personally would be opposed to the "Brown Card" ideal, as it would still allow for many illegals to remain here in the U.S. But the rest of his immigration thoughts are good to go. This is a bit better than what we get outta Murtha.

All in all, this may be a candidate to keep an eye on for the 2008 Elections.
