UPDATE: 1-2-2008; For those who may be wondering, yes you are correct, I haven't written anything new for a few days. I have been pondering, and decided to go through with, going on a writting sabatical for a few months. With all the political mess we are in now, and all the crap we've been put through over the last year and a half, I need the rest, just as America needs a rest from liberals. I'll c yas on the flip side. --John

Virtual Border Not Working: Well DUH!

Did anyone really believe that a "virtual fence" was going to prevent anyone from entering the U.S. illegally? What, did everyone suddenly get stupid(er) overnight and think that illegal aliens are descended from a giant race of MIMES or something?

I can just see it now, a crowd building by hundreds a day on the Arizona/Mexico border pressing thier noses against a non-existant wall. (Pass the white face paint and berets will ya.) Ooh, virtual wall, you can't travel through here.

Please. Give me, as well as my pocket book, a break. Yes, mine and yours wallets took a considerable hit from this pathetic fiasco. To the tune of about $20 million in tax payer money. And now, the original "Virtual Fence" program is being scrapped. Why, you may ask. Well, because it DOESN'T FREAKIN' WORK!

But it will apparently be replaced with newer technology. To include newer cameras, radar and improved communications. Great, swap one bad idea for another. Here's a novel idea, how about just building the fence that was originally mandated by the 9/11 commission! Oh wait, the Democrats voted to de-fund the crap out of the appropriations bill that would have funded that, a mere two hours after it approved the funding.

So still, no fence. I wonder just how much this NEWER virtual failure will cost us. Boeing was originally awarded an $860 million contract for the majority of the work. I think we should revoke it due to failure to perform reasons. Eventually, it will probably cost a considerable bit more than just building the fence would have cost in the first place.

And I don't mean a cheapo six foot high chain linked fence. I mean the nasty dual layer fence with the anti-personnel and anti-vehicle barriers fence that the 9/11 commission mandated in the first place. Heck, we can help Egypt and other countries rebuild thier fences, why the heck can't we get our own done?

So here we are, again. Stuck with a bunch of idiots, making decisions based on a load of B.S. And undermining not only the Nations security, but continuing to add to the the downfall of the American economy.

Should we just start chanting "viva la reconquista" now?

Here's some more info on this at MSNBC and Michelle Malkin's site.
