I figured it would be best to wait this one out for just a bit, until some of the actual facts came to the surface. By now you've all heard that Prince Harry, third royal in line for the throne, has been serving on the front lines in Afghanistan. Now Harry is heading home, thanks to the break in the press blackout.
Already, this news story has erupted into a firestorm of finger pointing as to who is responsible for the leak. The majority of the major media outlets pretty much turned and pointed in unison at The Drudge Report as being the perpetrator. HERE is the first article on the Drudge regarding the Royal in combat.
Interestingly enough, it turns out the Drudge Report was NOT the initiate of this story, but an Australian gossip rag called New Idea. Apparently, a German source called BILD also ran something about it, but I haven't found anything on that yet. Even more interesting is the fact that New Idea published the story back on January 7th. It wasn't until the Drudge Report reported it that the accusations began. HERE is an Australian ABC info page about the incident.
Until now, Prince Harry had been conducting his duties as a JTAC, (which means he essentially calls in airstrikes) as a regular Joe soldier. But upon the media circus' explosion, the MoD has decided that the knowledge of his presence in the region puts undue hazzards upon him and his fellow comrades. Hence, Prince Harry will soon return home. Which I suppose to be a good thing as most militant groups sites are calling for his head and to be watchful for him. His comrades in arms jokingly refer to him now as "bullet magnet."
So what of the leaking of a Royals presence in Afghanistan? Who should actually take the blame for this? Personally, I do honestly believe that the Drudge Report does bear some responsibility in this matter. Although reported by another outlet, they should have known better than to release this type of info.
But a fair share of the blame does need to be placed on the New Idea rag, and if such, the German BILD. Had they not originally reported it, Drudge probably would never had picked it up in the first place. It appears that the majority of the WORLDS media shares the same motto, "If it bleeds, it leads," in hopes that Harry would get killed. Makes for great sensationalism.

More Muslim Demands: Class Times To Suit THEIR Needs
Boy this is EVERY students dream come true. University classes scheduled to fit THEIR needs. Don't want to get up at 8am for Pre-Calc due to a hang-over? Petition the school to change the class time to somewhere around 3pm. Need to pray to allah several times a day? Same thing, tell the school to change the class times.
As ridiculous as this sounds, this is exactly what is happening. As found in an article on TheAustralian site, muslim organizers are trying to force Universities in Australia to ignore anyone elses needs and change class times to fit around their prayer times. Yeah, can we smell the Cultural Jihad brewing?
The article is titled "Muslims want unis to fit prayer time" and was penned by Richard Kerbaj and Milanda Rout, and was posted Feb. 25th. The article, in the true Australian style of being pretty straightforward, reads pretty clear. Muslim students, mostly from Saudi Arabia, want the University in Melbourne (and other cities) to change class times so they can attend congregational prayers.
But that's not all. They are also driving at segregation. They're wanting entirely seperate areas for muslim women. Haven't we already dealt with and had enough of this segregation crap a few decades ago? Rosa Parks comes to mind, just off hand.
Fortunately, at least one school has brushed this request/demand off. La Trobe University has said that even though they have made several accommodations for the increasing number of muslim students, to include doubling the size of the prayer area, they have no plans to change any class timetables. Good for them. Maybe they can smack some sense into the remaining schools that are considering it.
Even a former member of John Howards muslim reference board has brought up the point that there is absolutely nothing in islam anywhere that requires segregation regarding education. That actually, would be the ideals of the current islamo-whats-its. The kind of stuff that is reportedly being heard in about 80% of the mosques now found here in America. Ideals like it being okay to beat a woman for disobedience, that they must cover up head to toe and my personal favorite, women having to utilize a seperate entrance than men.
But read the article, it's got some good stuff in it.

l’affaire Stephen Coughlin: The Saga Continues
Well, after many articles having circulated regarding the Coughlin/Pentagon incidents, myself included in having perpetuated some of the back and forth, it seems there's been a little bit of underhanded play in the mix. Some serious deceit has been involved.
Here are the articles I myself have done regarding the l'affaire Coughlin from oldest to the most recent. Article 1, Article 2, Article 3, Article 4, and Article 5.
As it stands, it's beginning to look as if Maj. Coughlin WILL NOT be retained by the Pentagon at the end of his contract, and that Mr. Hesham Islam WILL BE retained. How in the hell did that happen? Well, to be honest, it's looking like our own officials, the ones responsible for our nations security have started to bow to Sharia.
There's a really good article regarding this incident found on the JewishWorldReview.com site by Frank J. Gaffney Jr. entitled "Should government employ terrorist sympathizers?" In it, Gaffney makes mention of how the U.S. Justice Dept. has now named the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) as a Muslim Brotherhood front. And how thanks to Mr. Hesham Islam, ISNA has now become "the preeminent vehicle for Pentagon "outreach" efforts to the American Muslim community."
Suddenly, that archbishop of Canterbury article about embracing islam/sharia doesn't sound so far fetched. It seems this embrace and acceptance of islamic totalitarianism, islamofascism if you will, is being conducted without the consent of the public. I for one, have a problem with this. How about you? The archbishop of Canterbury has since, somewhat, recanted his ideal, as found in a Guardian article.

3 In 4 U.S. Mosques Preach Hate: That's A Lot Of Hate
Getting a daily dose of UN-balanced hate from islam has become the norm these days. And this is just another example of what islam has planned for the West, or any other locale they inhabit. It turns out that a sort of "mapping" has been underway of mosques here in the U.S., and over 3/4 of them preach hate of America.
I got this news article via an ACT for America e-letter yesterday of a WorldNetDaily.com article. The title, "Study: 3 in 4 U.S. mosques preach anti-West extremism." That's a lot of hatred being spread. Especially some of the ideals that are being preached. Women, gather your local N.O.W. chapters and rise up, because it's being preached in these mosques that it's "okay to beat women who are disobedient.. women MUST cover themselves... and use a separate, usually back door entrance into these mosques.." So much for equality, eh?
So far, the project being headed up by David Yerushalmi who is a lawyer and expert on sharia law, has managed to investigate only about 100 or so mosques of the over 2,300 here in the country. Yerushalmi's initial finding are that over 80% of these mosques show "a high level of sharia-compliance and jihadi threat."
Nah, can't be. According to most Democrats, there is NO homeland terrorist threat.
Here are a few of the points that Yerushalmi has found being preached in these hate-centers;
- Ultra-orthodox worship in which women are separated from men in the prayer hall and must enter the mosque from a separate, usually back, entrance; and are required to wear hijabs.
- Sermons that preach women are inferior to men and can be beaten for disobedience; that non-Muslims, particularly Jews, are infidels and inferior to Muslims; that jihad or support of jihad is not only a Muslim's duty but the noblest way, and suicide bombers and other so-called "martyrs" are worthy of the highest praise; and that an Islamic caliphate should one day encompass the U.S.
- Solicitation of financial support for jihad.
- Bookstores that sell books, CDs and DVDs promoting jihad and glorifying martyrdom.
Most importantly in all of this, is this comment. Many of the Islamic centers are operating under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian government and U.S. front groups for the radical Muslim Brotherhood based in Egypt.
There's that name yet AGAIN, the Muslim Brotherhood. As well as the Saudi government. But, you would already know what my feelings are about the Saudi's if you read my last article HERE about them.

Democrats and Racism: Keepin' Da Black Man Down
Oh boy is this one ever gonna get some folks seriously hot under the collar. The article, titled "Black Leader: Democratic Party Architect of Racism," written by Ronald Kessler found on NewsMax.com today outlines a few of the Democrats "highlights" in the neverending Race-card battle.
The opening lines of the article alone hit below the belt of the Democratic party; "Frances Rice, chairman of the National Black Republican Association, describes the Democratic Party as the architect of modern day racism."
After that, it just goes downhill from there for the image of the Democrats. Rice it turns out, is a retired Army lieutenant colonel and lawyer. So were not talking about some uneducated putz here.
In the article, Rice first makes note of how "it was Republicans who pushed through much of the ground-breaking civil rights legislation in Congress." And continues on from there to mention how it's Republicans who are trying to empower blacks to help them out of poverty. While it's Democrats who are trying to keep blacks dependant on government handouts and feel like victims.
Yeah, the article reads like that the rest of the way through. This lady, Rice, pulls no punches and mentions, "The Democratic Party has built its power base on the backs of poor blacks, and they want to keep blacks poor, angry, and voting for Democrats." OUCH! I could feel the sting of that one through my monitor.
Another solid jab to the Democrat's honker is that, In Rice’s view, “The Democrats fight every effort of Republicans to get blacks out of poverty because they know that once blacks become prosperous, the Democratic Party will lose its power base.”
And even more damning to the Democrats' image is when Rice brings up history. Rice says most blacks are not aware that from its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party, the Republican Party has been at the “forefront of the struggle for civil rights, which is why Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican.”
I REALLY like this lady, Rice. But you have got to read the full article on NewsMax.com.

Castro Pt. 2: Fidel's Brother Raul Assumes Power
It was just a few days ago that the media world went nuts over the announcement that Fidel Castro, the longest serving dictator was stepping down. The media did it's best to dig up any Cuban-American it could find to get "their take" on the news. Guessing correctly, since his brother had been pretty much running the show as it was when Fidel underwent surgery, I believed that it was highly probable that Raul would just assume power.
And sure enough, he did. Shocked and amazed.
Having a pretty good idea already that things wouldn't be changing much, if any, I didn't put any stock in hoping for a brighter tomorrow for Cuba. Raul really isn't a nice guy, and his recent statements only solidified that belief. As Raul assumed the presidency yesterday, his statements pretty much echoed what I had been saying for days. Things will remain the same, and he will consult Fidel on major matters.
So much for change.
I've skimmed a few forums and comment sections of articles about Fidel's resignation, and what it means for Cuba. It's nice to see that people are holding out hope for Cubans, that things could eventually be getting better. But that's more or less a fantasy. With Raul now firmly in charge, and being a lil' bit more vile than his older brother Fidel, I can only guess that the environment will actually degenerate in Cuba. I think Florida, and the U.S. Coast Guard should be gearing up for a much larger influx of refugee's fleeing Cuba.
Kind of like what the world witnessed when the Berlin Wall finally dropped.
In MY opinion (and I hope I'm wrong), the only REAL hope I see Cuba has for improvement, is rebellion. It's an awful thought. And personally, I really don't wish that was the answer, but it's looking to be so. Now more than ever. I don't forsee, or even remotely believe that lifting the embargo against Cuba will have any positive effect, other than to help fill the pockets of Raul and the rest of the regime there.
I suppose a prayer, whether one is religious or not, is in order for the Cuban populace, that enough of them survive the coming years to actually see a new leader come to power FOR the Cuban people.

Obama And Clinton Say FU To The Border Fence
Way to go. Not only has the Secure Fence Act been gutted by the rat turds in Congress, but given the chance to get in the White House, Clinton and Obama will make sure there's NO chance it ever gets built. A smart way Hillary? Well, when the 9/11 commission has put in it's report that a "double layer" fence should be constructed, saying NO fence doesnt sound too bright.
But I'm willing to bet, that Hillary wants more illegals here. Since she is the Senator from New York, and her buddy Bloomberg there was attempting to grant drivers licenses to illegals, sounds more like a plan coming together, eh?
Obama doesn't get let off the hook here either. "I think there's some areas, that may be okay for some fencing.." Yeah, here's a hint Obama, from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. The fence is supposed to be over 854 miles worth. How much of that "SOME fencing" where you alluding to?
And let's not forget a resurrection of the "Dream Act." Obama himself says he wants to see that come to fruition. Great. So not only are we looking at a future of no chance of securing America, but now were back to square one of paying for the rest of the worlds expenses. Way to go.
Just listening to Obama and Hillary in this video on YouTube, begins to conjure visions of the North American Union comming to pass. The Nafta Superhighway being built, which will uproot who knows how many families from Texas to the Great Lakes. Planetary taxes by signing the LOST treaty. A nice rise in violent crimes since we'll all be loosing our personal firearms. And cap it all off with a big carbon tax payable to the U.N., courtesy of Al Gore and his minions.
Man we are soooo screwed if either of these geniuses gets elected.

Two Haditha Marines Still Being Persecuted
Of the three original Haditha controversy Marines, two are still being persecuted without provocation. Lance Cpl. Stephen Tatum, Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt, and Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich had all been thoroughly investigated regarding the Haditha incident during the original Article 32 hearings.
At the end of the Article 32 hearings (which are the military equivalent of a grand jury hearing), the presiding military officer recommended strongly that all charges be dropped against the three Marines. So far, only Sharratt has been fully exonerated. But now, the Pentagon is ignoring the findings of the military tribunal relating to Tatum and Wuterich and recommended that these Marines should face courts-martial which are slated to begin in March. Both, if convicted, face extremely long sentances.
These Marines first became the victims of this fabricated bias when a Time magazine reporter whose only sources were known insurgent propagandists, civilian supporters of al-Qaida, or civilians intimidated by al-Qaida thugs reported it back in 2005. Time has since, been forced to retract parts of the initial story four times. Even the turncoat, Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., was forced to admit he was wrong over the situation. Murtha is now being challenged in his own district for his House seat by Lt. Col. William Russell.
Additionally, the investigating officer Lt. Col. Paul Ware who reviewed all of the evidence against Stephen at the article 32 hearing recommended that all charges be DROPPED! He stated that "the key government witnesses’ testimony was not credible.” In the report on the Wuterich case, Ware wrote: "The evidence is contradictory, the forensic analysis is limited and almost all the witnesses have an obvious bias or prejudice."
Gen. James Mattis, the Marines’ commanding general (whom I have personally served under when he was a Lt.Col. during Desert Storm/Shield), agreed and dismissed all seven original allegations, including murder charges. Yet, the Pentagon is moving forward with their prosecution of these two remaining Marines.
Critical to their defense, is financing. John and Stephanie Tatum, the parents of Lance Cpl. Tatum, expressed their extreme frustration: The government “put on its best case including hearsay written statements from Iraqi civilians and others. It is very disheartening and frustrating," Mrs. Tatum writes. "Stephen has not dishonored his country or the Marine uniform that he wears with great pride, dedication, and respect . . . We don’t have enough money in our retirement account and equity in our home to come close to covering all these new trial expenses."
The opportunity exists to help these Marines be exhonerated of all charges. HERE is the site to make a donation towards the legal defense funds of these wrongly persecuted Marines. Here is the text link for those who may require it; https://www.newsmaxstore.com/contribute/haditha/?s=al&promo_code=459C-1
Please note; NewsMax.com who is hosting this donation drive will be retaining NONE of the funds collected. 100% of the donations go to the defense funds of these Marines.

Horrible Waterboarding Americans: Five Minutes Well Spent
I used to not think too terribly about waterboarding to be honest. Technically, it's a NON-lethal form of interrogation. A controlled drowning as described. Pretty cruel yes, but never put much more thought into it than that. And most counter arguments were usually nothing more than references to being some neo-nazi something or other.
That is, until I was skimming through a comments section for a discussion about waterboarding. Amazingly enough, amid all the 'superior intellects' tossing their Nazi referrences, one actually intelligent soul posted the statements by military and intelligence experts alike, which advised that yes, waterboarding technically is torture.
Okay, I can go with that.
But just how horrible has America really been regarding waterboarding? There have been weeks worth of airtime spent "investigating the slippery slope" America is hurling down regarding the use of torture. So just how much time has America really spent torturing detainees?
Less than five minutes.
That's it.
In a revealing article by Jonah Goldberg on the National Review Online site, less than five minutes in all that has been spent on just three detainees. And that was over five years ago. NO, I am no longer of the belief that the use of this technique is acceptable, nor do I wish we ever have the need arise to consider using it again. But considering the information obtained during that less than five minutes, which John Kiriakou, a former CIA officer who witnessed the interrogation, told ABC’s Brian Ross: “The threat information that he (Abu Zubaydah) provided disrupted a number of attacks, maybe dozens of attacks.”
You really need to read the article on the NRO website to see who the three detainees were, and what effects it had on our War on Terror. I can honestly say, I hope we don't need to go this route again, and with all the recent legislation, it's not likely we will as the slope has gone UPwards, rather than down.
Then again, since Nanci Pelosi was one of the people on the Intelligence committee briefed on the actions who not only approved of the technique, but encouraged it, perhaps we will see it again. She did say that there would be change in the House didn't she?

Where's The Warming? I'm Freezing!
The NOAA which has been a key component of the 'Goracles' fearmongering crusade for Global Whining, just gave a serious back stabbing to the entire facade. Acording to a recent report, the 5 million square miles of ice in Jan. 2007 that shrank to 1.5 million square miles by Oct. 2007, has apparently grown back.
Also, confirming the data about Antartica's ice mass growing, "a Feb. 18 report in the London Daily Express showed that there is nearly a third more ice in Antarctica than usual." Record low temperatures and snowfalls are being felt throughout the globe. The only exception thus far has been an unusually long 'warm spell' being endured in a portion of Western Europe.
NewsMax.com carried the article by Phil Brennan regarding the subject on Feb. 19th.
It's more likely that, the planet is entering a cooling phase rather than a warming trend. This was also referred to by the founder of the Weather Channel, John Coleman, who called global warming the biggest scam ever.
In the face of such damning info, I still hold my doubts that there will be any change to the path that the greenies are leading our country. I'm sure we will still end up on some sort of Kyoto-like financial genocide pact with the rest of the world, that only we will be bound to kneel to.
While we're waiting for that day, pass me a parka, ice axe and my Koflachs. And turn that damn heater up will ya!

Prosthetic Bellies: Fake Pregnancy Suicide Bombers
Now that we've already seen some of the lows that Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations will sink to, (such as recruiting kids and down syndrome afflicted persons,) something like this should actually be expected. The Dept. of Homeland Security is issuing a warning to local law enforcement departments to be aware of Prosthetic "bellies" that mimic a pregnancy.
It looks like this is actually a week old now, but it's the first I myself have heard of it. I received info on this through an e-letter from the American Congress for Truth. It provides a link to LiveLeak.com which hosts the video and article.
The video, which is a CBS 2 News report, features statements from security experts, the FBI and the warning from the DHS about the topic. And like my previous article, the desperation of these terrorist groups is showing. Read here about the Kiddie Jihad.
The report also mentions as in a sideline, that these groups may also be seeking out what can best be described as "Americanized looking" persons for infiltrating the West. They describe it as "people who look and talk like us."
But check out the video, it's rather interesting.

Pelosi Strikes Again: Unilateral Disarmament
Putting personal politics and trial lawyers ahead of National Security, (D.-Calif.) Nancy Pelosi, the first female Speaker of the House refused to allow a vote on the Protect America Act by going on a 12 day vacation.
That's the basics of the article written by Newt Gingrich on Human Events.com in an article titled "The Unilateral Disarmament Democrats: Putting Trial Lawyers Ahead of Your Family's Safety."
Since midnight of this last Saturday, Americas surveillance capabilities have been drastically reduced due to the expiration of the Protect America Act. By refusing to allow a vote to come to the floor, she has effectively blinded America's counterterrorism abilities.
This childish action by Pelosi led to a House GOP walkout which was led by Minority Leader John Boehner (Ohio). Boehner said, "We will not stand idly by and watch the floor of the United States House of Representatives be abused for pure, political grandstanding at the expense of our national security." No kidding. I suppose that argument could cut both ways. But over National Security, partisan politics is not appropriate.
The bill did apparently have bipartisan support as well. Gingrich speaks in his article of "Senate Democrats such as Intelligence Committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller (W.Va.), Claire McCaskill (Mo.) and Jim Webb (Va.) deserve thanks for putting the safety of America ahead of their partisan political interests." And for their stances, yes, they do deserve thanks. And as anyone who regularly reads my page, that's saying something.
Gingrich's article carries a considerable amount of info that you should really take in, regardless of what side of the political sphere your parked on. It's less Defeato-crat, and more defeato-Pelosi, which in this instance, is exactly where the blame belongs.

Are The Saudi's Really Allies?
Just how great an ally is Saudi Arabia to the Western World? According to this report on the Guardian.co.uk site, not very. It seems that an investigation into corruption into arms deals between BAE and Saudi Arabia had angered the head of the Saudi national security council, Prince Bandar, enough to issue threats of another 7/7 in England.
The article does not speak well of this guy, making known that Bandar had been openly accused in court of taking more than £1bn in secret payments from the arms company BAE. He is also accused of threatening to hold back information about suicide bombers and terrorists there in England. The article was done by David Leigh and Rob Evans and posted Feb. 15th.
The articles intro paragraphs speak volumes in themselves; Saudi Arabia's rulers threatened to make it easier for terrorists to attack London unless corruption investigations into their arms deals were halted, according to court documents revealed yesterday.
Previously secret files describe how investigators were told they faced "another 7/7" and the loss of "British lives on British streets" if they pressed on with their inquiries and the Saudis carried out their threat to cut off intelligence.
From what info is given in the article by Leigh and Evans, it seems this Bandar guy went to London back in December of 2006 and pretty much forced Tony Blair to get the Serious Fraud Office investigation regarding bribery allegations stopped. I like Tony Blair, and I'd like to think that his agreement to halt the Bandar bribery allegations inquiries was an attempt to spare what British lives he could until further measures could be taken. At least, I'm hoping that's what it is.
The original SFO investigation had begun back in 2004. The Guardian had supposedly unearthed some rather unflattering information about BAE, and that is what SFO director Robert Wardle was reviewing that prompted the investigation.
I'd recommend taking a read of the Guardian article as it spells out in more detail this deadly alliance with the Saudi's.

Delay In Background Checks Of Immigrants
If there is any particular bunch in the "Immigration" issue that I actually feel sorry for, it's these folks. The LEGAL immigrants, who are really trying to effect some change in their lives, and the lives of their families. The ones who are going through the motions to LEGALLY enter the country, and are being held up by an inefficient government system.
This issue came up when I received an e-letter from NumbersUSA, which included an article written by Paul M. Weyrich on The National Ledger site. The articles title is "A Dangerous Delay in Background-Checking Legal Immigrants," written on Feb. 14th.
Weyrich brings up several topics such as the recent decision by the Bush Administration to "grant permanent residency status to tens of thousands of legal immigrants without first completing their required background checks against the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigative files because the backlog of legal immigration cases is too large and growing rapidly."
Weyrich also brings up a good point about the system itself; "Part of the problem is that the system of background checks is inefficient. The FBI stores more than 86 million investigative files which electronically complete the background checks for about 90% of legal immigrants within three months. The remaining 10% can take years to finish through paper-based searches for any mention of an applicant’s name in records stored in 265 locations across the country."
One would think that with such huge technological advancements and strides that had been made over the last few years, this sort of problem should be extinct by now.
The ones who ultimately will suffer until a more efficient means of clearing a person for entry can be arranged, are in fact legal immigrants. Congress bears some of the blame for this, as having over the last few decades increased the allowance for immigration to balloon to astounding proportions. It has increased from around 100-150 thousand legal immigrants a year in 1965, to well over 1 million a year these days. This would partially explain the steady backlog of applicants.
Another point that comes to mind, that Weyrich also brings up is; "What type of signal does this send to those who may be criminals in their home country or who seek to destroy America for ideological reasons? The signal is loud and clear: those with criminal records, including violent ones, or those who would mount terrorist attacks against us can beat the system because the Federal Government is too uncoordinated and lethargic to check their backgrounds." The same thought crossed my mind before reaching this point in Weyrich's article. And unfortunately, Legal immigrants (from any origin) can end up being victimized over such problems.
But skip over to Weyrich's article on the National Ledger which carries considerably more info than I listed here. It's a very good read.

NewsMax: European Complacency At Munich
I found this article on NewsMax.com to be pretty interesting, as it covers a fairly wide swath of what's happening to Europe. The article is titled' "Munich Conference Reveals European Complacency," and was written by Christopher Ruddy. The article was regarding the recent Munich Conference on Security Policy, held in Munich, Germany just a couple weeks ago.
The delegates from the U.S. congress were Sens. Joseph Lieberman and Lindsey Graham. I have to admit, I actually kinda like Lieberman. Yeah, he's liberal, but damn if he doesn't have some balls when it comes to the Security of the United States. He has a real way of speaking out.
When he spoke at the conference, he had the following to say regarding Iran;
"The dangers of a nuclear Iran cannot be denied, diminished, or dismissed. There is no room for complacency, and no excuse for inaction, about this threat," he warned.
Lieberman also clarified press reports suggesting that the U.S. National Intelligence Estimate found that Iran’s nuclear program was not a serious threat.
"The NIE itself expresses only 'moderate' confidence that Iran has not already done so,” Lieberman said, referring to Iran’s program to develop nuclear weapons. “And other respected national intelligence services believe that Iran already has restarted its nuclear weaponization program." Concerted action today could prevent a worse solution, he suggested.
"Military action to destroy or deter Iran's nuclear arsenal is not an option we seek, but it is also not an option that we can eliminate," he said.
I do say though, I'm not for attacking Iran if it can be avoided, and even tapped out an earlier article about it which you can find HERE. But I also have to agree with Lieberman, that it can't be completely ruled out.
Another aspect of the conferrence was the muted talk over U.S. policies. Ruddy writes that this may be due to the Bush Administration exiting shortly, and the Europeans believing that the next Admin. will be Democratically led. Which would mean being more sympathetic to the Euro's views.
In all, it's a good article that even covers some of the Russian effect, which includes the vast financial reserves they've managed to amass due to recent fuel costs. I've also doodled about this as well. You can read it HERE. But I recommend hopping over to the NewsMax article and give it a look.

ABC News Reports GOOD In Iraq? Seems Like It
When we see the overt and blatant anti-(pretty-much-anything) American that continually spews forth from our "fair and balanced" media establishments, we often wonder will there ever be an end to it. Enter ABCNews.
Shocking, I know. But amazingly enough, ABCNews over the last couple days has actually been reporting positive momentum in the Middle East theater. To top it off, they were the ONLY ones to report such incidents. They must not be considering how much the other outlets will be despising such moves.
Just a couple of examples of some of this reporting. We'll start of with the reporting on the Iraqi Parliament. Wednesday night, ABC World News anchor Charles Gibson gave a report about Crucial Laws being passed by the Iraqi Parliament. Whilst only giving a measley 20 seconds or so to the article, Gibson related a few of the more important aspects of the story.
Gibson reported how the Iraqi Parliament managed to put aside their individual differences long enough to get a form of Budget for 2008 passed, that they managed to get a plan together for granting amnesty for a number of detainees, and they agreed on a layout of defining the relationship between the central government and the provinces. Not bad.
The following night, (Thursday) ABC World News and Charles Gibson reported, with a BIG onscreen inset, of the SURGE SUCCESS. As the article on the Media Research Center rightly opens up with, if the surge had been a failure, you KNOW the media would have been all over that. But only ABC seemed interested enough to cover a Success. The report covered some aspects as the violence in Iraq being down by over 60%, as well as reverting back to some of the previous days successes in Parliament.
I actually tip my hat to ABC for this reporting. While not giving a particularly large amount of airtime to these reports, THEY DID report them. A bold move for a media outlet these days, to go against the DailyKos/HuffPo norm.

NIU Shooter Identified: Steven Kazmierczak, Age 27
The loss of life is always tragic especially in manners such as this, when a person for whatever reason decides to take the lives of others along with their own. I'm not a psychologist, or mental therapist or any other clinical professional, so I won't even begin to speculate as to WHY this former grad student undertook these actions.
According to Florida authorities, Polk County more specifically, they had been asked to inform the suspects father, Robert Kazmierczak of Lakeland, Fla. that his son was deceased. The suspect had been identified as 27-year-old Steven Kazmierczak by a NIU official under condition of anonymity, who stated, "it was the younger Kazmierczak." I can only guess (as many others are) at this point, that means Steven must have an older sibling or two.
The death toll from the NIU shooting overnight grew by one to a total of six dead. There are apparently still two students in either critical or serious condition as of this morning (Feb. 15, 2008). According to school officials, Kazmierczak had no previous interaction with campus police.
Some other mentionings of Steven Kazmierczak were one by NIU President John Peters who stated that, "By all accounts that we can tell right now (he) was a very good student that the professors thought well of." It was also mentioned that Kazmierczak had been attending NIU as recently as spring 2007. NIU spokeswoman Melanie Magara said, he was currently enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
What will be the sadest part of this incident (just as we saw with Virginia Tech), is that the students' plight will eventually become overshadowed by more calls for gun control. The victims of the NIU shootings will just become objectless icons. Faceless statistics to groups that really have no moral fiber about themselves, just to further their own objectives. And for that (and this is just my personal opinion), I would consider placing them into a lower category than the shooter himself.
To those who were lost or injured. To those who may have known of, or known personally of those who were killed or wounded, I do not envy you what lies ahead. Those worthless globs of primordial ooze who will attempt to capitalize on YOUR hurting, YOUR pain, YOUR suffering will come. They always do. All I can do is offer my sincere condolences, and pray that your fellow classmates band together on your behalf long enough to repel the coming onslaught. That horde of mindless, heartless bastards that want to use you for thier own means, and toss you aside like waste paper. I hope that you will be granted the time and space YOU WILL need to heal.
Much love and sympathy, and may God bless.
John
Article info provided by the Associated Press.
UPDATE: Due to miscommunications during earlier reports, the following corrections need to be made. The accurate first name of the suspect is spelled STEPHEN, not Steven. Also, one shooting victim had been reported to have died overnight. This is NOT correct. The supposed 6th victim had be relocated/transported overnight to another hospital.

Do We Have The Will? ACT for America
I recently received from ACTforAmerica via sequential e-letters, their newest campaign drive entitled, "Do We Have The Will?" The first e-mail appropriately labeled Part 1, lists a number of short summaries from previous e-letters regarding the Cultural jihad spreading across America. It makes mention that, should they report everything that is underway, it would fill e-mail inboxes daily. Here is the text link for Part 1; http://www.actforamerica.org/email-archive/2008/02/do-we-have-the-will.html .
As the e-letter continues, it borrows a few excerpts from a book by Lee Harris titled, "The Suicide of Reason: Radical Islam's Threat to the West." Some of the clips borrowed from Harris' book were, one of the reasons "radical Islam" is such a looming and powerful threat is because most people in the West, including our government leaders, fail to understand the nature of the threat and lack the will to resist it. On page 244 he states: "We have come to believe that we are invulnerable, that we have accumulated such power and wealth that it is unimaginable that our dominance could be challenged."
Pretty obvious if you've seen a few recent internet headlines. Items like The recent imam's prayer calling for the defeat of the great Satan. While that's not really news, the fact that this was part of a prayer opening up a recent IOWA State legislative meeting, IS news.
Harris closes out his book with this all too accurate thought; if our enlightened civilization is to survive, we must be prepared - and have the will - to defend our way of life. But he observes that societies that achieve our level of peace, prosperity and rationality typically have a very hard time mustering the will to resist fanatical threats to their existence. Oh, how right you are Mr. Harris. How right you are.
The Part 1 e-letter closes out with this;
So, do we, members of ACT! for America and American Congress for Truth, have the will to resist the rising tide of Islamofascism?
Do we have the will to vigorously defend the values of Western Civilization that have produced the greatest peace, prosperity and liberty the world has ever known?
Do we have the will to fight for our safety, security, liberty, peace and prosperity, for ourselves now, and for the children and grandchildren who will follow us?
Do we have the will?
Well, do we?
The second e-letter, appropriately as the previous one, was labeled Part 2. Part 2 outlines some of the both Legislative and Grassroots actions ACTforAmerica is planning to take with help from its members, to combat this rising Cultural Jihad happening here in America.
Part 2 is also a donations request, as you will see the projected expenses of what they are planning to accomplish during this campaign. Here is the text link for Part 2; http://www.actforamerica.org/email-archive/2008/02/its-time-for-bold-action.html .
I recommned reviewing the two e-letters, as well as many of their other mailings regarding these dangerous times we face. I suppose one could also ask of themselves afterwards if they do in fact, have the will.

Glenn Beck and the "Debit Cards" Theory
America already has a deficit problem that a 160+ billion dollar stimulus package WON'T solve. Add to that the need for a hasty last minute "rewording" of the package since it was discovered that a healthy portion of the money would have gone to Illegal Aliens, and we can see just how important it is for the government to NOT intervene in the markets.
It is always best, to allow the markets to adjust themselves. It benefits no one, save the politicians that push the ideals, when putting the governments hand in the cookie jar. And on this note, I'm pointing the finger at BOTH sides of the fence.
Enter Glenn Beck, and his thoughts about the stimulus package. Like me, Beck believes it to be the last ditch efforts of morons to try and score points for their parties. In his article found on CNN, he reminds us of how bad a choice it was, during 2005 and the Katrina/FEMA fiasco, that the issuing of debits cards were.
Here is the text link for the article: http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/02/12/beck.stimulus.package/index.html?iref=hpmostpop
But on the issue, Beck brings up a good point. During the Katrina era, the "debit cards" issued by FEMA were embarrasingly enough, used on non-essentials like breast implants and other luxuries instead of essentials like food and water. With our stimulus package, we will be cut rebate checks. And as Beck mentions, nevermind that the government is already working to process over 140 million tax returns.
But the luxuries and non-essentials are exactly what the government is HOPING we will spend the rebates on. In essence, to stimulate the economy. Beck's proposal regarding the stimulus package that we really don't need and can't afford? Issue the debit cards again. And put a time limit of three to six months on them. Use 'em or lose 'em.
Makes more sense than anything else we've been hearing of coming from Washington as of late.
In closing, the stimulus package should never have been considered, when instead more tax cuts for businesses and the populace should have been the ideals to go with.

Islam Getting The Boot: Heshem To Leave Pentagon
When living, or just barely surviving through a turbulent time in our lives, we often find it difficult, impossible even, to see some good in the enveloping firestorm. It's not until after the smoke has cleared, and the results are inspected that we see in fact, good is happening.
This is the case in regards to the entire Stephen Coughlin affair that has ensued over the last several weeks at the Pentagon. Speculation was cast to and fro, and the internet was abuzz with outrage that the Pentagons ONLY expert on Sharia Law was being canned. The outporring of concern was that he was at odds with an islamic outreach aide.
Rep. Sue Myrick, who is the head of the bi-partisan Anti-Terror Caucus took an interest in the situation and did some of her own digging. It turns out that Coughlin was planning to end his current term anyways, and was assuming a new post elsewhere in the DoD. So he really wasn't "leaving" per se. But there is apparently, a former ambassador to Turkey who is attempting to block Coughlin's new contract.
But through the turmoil arose another issue. Originally, the Coughlin affair was believed to be a result of conflict between a Heshem Islam (aide to Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England,) and Coughlin over Coughlin's 300+ page Thesis. Apparently there was some abrasive times, but it turns out not to have had any effect on the incident as originally believed. But the ensuing investigation by Rep. Myrick and the DoD revealed some "iffy" conclusions about Heshem's resume.
It turns out that the noise maker himself, that being Heshem Islam who has had at times access to Top Secret information, has a rather shaddy background himself, and has been tied both then, and now, to various radical islamic organizations. This apparently, is strictly against U.S. policy. H. Islam is now bailing out of his position as an aide to DDS England.
There is plenty more info about this at the American Congress For Truth Blog which has a great intro written by Jerry Gordon, and WorldNetDaily which carries the original article.

Libel Terrorism Petition: A9652 / S6687
The American Congress for Truth e-letter for today included a link to sign the petition to advance the Libel Terrorism Act; A-9652 / S-6687. They have already managed to amass upwards of 5,000 signatures as of the writting of this article. They wish to attain a number of signatures in the area of 10,000 by next week when it is presented.
For those who have yet tobe made aware, the Libel Terrorism protection act is being created to halt the impending onslaught of libel law suits being filed in overseas courts, namely in England. And to provide a measure of protection of Free Speech rights to authors, journalists and the like who speak out about such topics as terrorism, islamofascism, etc.
Many authors and publishers have already come under the fire of Libel Terrorism, causing retractions to be made, books pulled from shelves and reparations to be paid. The most recent and notable victim of these attacks is a Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld for her book Funding Evil; How Terrorism is Financed and How to Stop It.
HERE is the link for the petition. Here is the text link for those who require it:
http://tool.donation-net.net/entrance/enter.cfm?dn=1097&source=2006&id=2784&commid=1903257&CFID=4654626&CFTOKEN=26138473
The page also gives an in depth description of the of what the petition is about. For now, the act is being generated for New York State as it receives the brunt of the overseas suits and is the publishing center for most of America. But the Bill will most probably be extended in other states to umbrella that protection.
If Americans truly value their "freedoms," as we so often hear, then at a minimum, a serious consideration of this petition is in order. Otherwise, your freedom to even "blog" your topic may become subject to hostile court fire.

Ben Stein: Expelled The Movie
Investigating the predjudice against any form of creation aside from Darwinism, Ben Stein is Expelled. An upcoming movie due out in Spring 2008 by Premise Media Corporation delves into a world made hostile by scientific entities that oppose any possibilities contrary to evolutionism. A five minute intro-snippet is available HERE. For those who require it, here is the text link; http://www.expelledthemovie.com/playgroundvideo3.swf .
HERE is the homepage for the upcoming movie with both a flash and non-flash intro. Here is the text link; http://www.expelledthemovie.com/ .
I like Ben Stein. I admire his intelligence and reasoning abilities. And he raises some very good points in the intro vid. Like why is there such blatant hostile opposition to any doctrine other than Darwinism? At best, it should be an arena open to intelligent debate, rather than the outright "flaming" of anyone who ponders a different origin. Pay a visit to practically any forum article regarding God, or intelligent design, and you'll SEE the hostility. And what is being hid that would necessitate such aggression?
As for more than just scientists being against other forms of creation, that's not hard to believe. Judging by the chosen side of the media since the 60's, that's an easily accepted statement. As is the tenured leadership of the educational institutions siding against anything in opposition to evolutionary theories. Somehow, I doubt the tens of millions of dollars being poured into them by the Saudi's is the primary cause for this anger.
It's true, what the comment made in the intro says. You'll probably loose some friends, jobs, etc, for continuing to question the "authorities" on the matter. But hey, weren't our own founding fathers "Rebels" of their time?

Coughlin Updates: No Conspiracy But Still Disturbing
Okay, so we have some updates regarding the Major Stephen Coughlin incident, as reported on the American Congress for Truth website blog. (Article ONE and TWO) According to Rep. Sue Myrick, (who has met with Pentagon Officials, House and Senate members and Major Coughlin himself regarding these incidents,) there doesn't appear to be any conspiracy behind his dimissal.
Coughlin himself, also made known that "he has had a great working relationship with the Joint Staff and that he did not believe there was any conspiracy to remove him from his position." If anything, I suppose he was gracious to see that there was such an uproar by concerned citizens at the possibility of such an occurrence happening.
Also, according to Coughlin himself, he had intended to move on at the end of his contract anyways. It is also being made known that the DoD is RETAINING Coughlin in a different aspect, in that he will be moving to another office program within the Office of the Secretary of Defense where he will continue to make his knowledge available.
Rep. Myrick additionaly mentioned that, "While I do not believe there was any foul play involved in this situation, I wish that more attention was given to Major Coughlin’s thesis." The thesis that was supposedly the cause of this entire incident is, "To Our Great Detriment: Ignoring What Extremists Say about Jihad." She also mentioned the Holy Land Foundation Trials and made reference to Government Exhibit 003-0085. It's 12 pages of [PDF], but worth every word for the knowledge you will gain from it.
Rep. Myrick has said that everyone responsible for the safety and defense of America should read Coughlin's Thesis, lest we fall victim to the fascist subversion from within. I commend Rep. Myrick for her desire to fully investigate this incident, and her drive to help keep America safe. If only more of our ELECTED Representatives cared this much.

Kiddie Jihad: Al Qaeda Getting Desperate
Well this is a rather interesting article I found on FOXNews today. Al Qaeda, with its steadily shrinking numbers as coalition forces continue to knock them off, has resorted to advertising to children. This stinks of a very familiar tactic, recycled a couple times over the decades. Can we say Nazi Youth? Or perhaps NVA strapping grenades to kids?
I'll just post a few opening comments from the FOXNews article By Jennifer Griffin here in the post. You can read the article in full HERE at FOXNews.com.
"WASHINGTON — Al Qaeda propaganda tapes released by Multinational Forces-Iraq reveal a possible new trend in the group's terror strategy in Iraq."
"The tapes, obtained by FOX News and later released to the media, are training videos showing black-masked Iraqi children between 6 and 14 being taught how to hold AK-47s, stop a car and carry out a kidnapping, break into a house and break into a courtyard and terrorize the individuals living there."
"Footage aired for reporters showed an apparent training operation in which the boys are seen storming a house and holding guns to the heads of mock residents. Another tape showed a young boy wearing a suicide vest and posing with automatic weapons. They also are shown being taught to use rocket-propelled grenade launchers."
Griffin's article contains some photos, and some video as well. It's well worth the read, as it also clues in on another disturbing tactic Al Qaeda members have been resorting to. While not new in form, it's new in premise, the kidnapping of children. While the article recounts a successful recovery of an abducted child, (which is the video) it leaves open to how many were NOT successfully recovered.
Something else of note in Griffin's article, is the meticulous documentation kept by Al Qaeda members. She writes, "Much like the Nazis in World War II, Al Qaeda operatives document their every action, be it a bombing or kidnapping. It is the way they get paid by the organization." During the recovery of the child in the video, information was gained that led to the recovery of another child being held in a separate hideout nearby.
Record keeping "Much like the Nazi's.." And the use of children as soldiers, also much like the Nazi's. It would be interesting to know just how many OTHER tactics Al Qaeda and other groups will be "borrowing" from the Nazi's.
But go, read Griffin's article in its entirety for some new insight on the middle east, and what our "friends" in the "religion of peace" are up to these days.

McCain Winning: America Loosing? Maybe.
Well, Super Tuesday has come and gone, and McCain is leading. That's just sad. With him already having half the nods needed for the GOP nomination, it's likely that he will be the Republican front runner for the presidency. Boy, talk about a hard days work ahead. There is some serious brow-beating to be done now.
If anything, I suppose all that is left to do is to either hope Romney can pull some sort of election miracle out of his butt over the next few weeks and months. Or to go ahead with McCain, and just hammer the piss out of him while he's in the White House on any move he makes that is contrary to the safety and security of our nation.
I mentioned it in my previous article, illegal immigration IS the biggest topic facing America today. It's not the war on terror, it's not the economy or health care, and it definitely is not global warming. It IS illegal immigration. And McCain needs to be made FULLY AWARE of that DURING his current run. He needs to know that any move to grant amnesty will be met with serious consequences.
Subjects such as getting the double layer border fence built, (as described by the 9/11 commission,) needs to be made a priority. Enforcing current immigration laws, needs to be made a priority. If need be, adding legislation such as Arizona has currently enacted, should be considered. Attrition through enforcement needs to be the key ingredient in McCain's head, whenever immigration is brought up.
Consider the BILLIONS that would be saved yearly, when not having to pay for 20+million illegals medical expenses. Consider the BILLIONS saved yearly, when not having to hand it out in government assistance checks to illegals. Consider the BILLIONS saved, when not having to build a couple of new schools every month just in California (let alone nationwide) to educate the children of illegals. Consider the millions of jobs that will be available to Americans WHO WILL do the work that "no one else wants to do."
Yes, illegal immigration IS the biggest issue facing OUR country today. And if McCain is going to be our representative, he better damn well be made aware of it.

McCain Tuesday Upset: We Can Only Hope
With Super-Tuesday here, Republicans have an opportunity to speak up about the issue that most plagues America, illegal immigration. McCain has some descent stances for a platform, but immigration is not one of them. Huckabee and Romney both have better stances on this topic, that being NO AMNESTY for illegals. McCain does not have a great record regarding immigration, especially with the recent defeat of his McCain-Kennedy Amnesty legislation.
"Immigration is in fact, the biggest issue facing America today." That's a quote from a talk show host I heard a few minutes of the other day. I can not be specific, but I believe it was Kevin James on KRLA 870 AM in the Los Angeles area. (If anyone can confirm this, please leave it in the comments.) But I might be incorrect on that, as I've been listening to and reading a lot of data over the last few months.
But whomever spoke those words, was more accurate and on target than most people realise. The majority of the problems faced by America today, can be resolved with a much more firm stance against illegal immigration. Simply enforcing the laws in place would have astounding effects. McCain claims to have "heard the people," when he eventually had to withdraw his amnesty plan in defeat. I doubt that. That legislation was trumped because huge numbers of LEGAL Americans said "Hell no!" Not because of any change in McCain's or Kennedy's party platforms
On a more positive note, John Zogby, of Zogby International, (the polling guys) believes there is in fact a high probability of a McCain upset this Super-Tuesday in California. In a video/audio interview on NewsMax.com, Zogby lays out some good info on his reasons for this. Zogby also gave a bit of insight into some other factors regarding the next couple days worth of politics. You can watch the video HERE.
In closing, a vote for McCain would essentially be the stepping stone for the 25-30 million illegals in America (I don't buy the B.S. that there's only 12 million here) being granted amnesty, and the beginning of a much more serious nose dive in an already shaky economy. Republicans face a dire situation, with no clear cut prospect for a presidential candidate, as Fred Thompson has dropped out, and Duncan Hunter not having the following or funding needed. Whom are we left to chose from?
Whomever we pick this Tuesday, hopefully McCain ISN'T it.

More "Political Islam": Iowa Wasn't The Only One
Back on Jan. 25th, American Congress for Truth sent out a disturbing e-letter about the "Cultural Jihad" that's running rampant and unchecked here in America. The e-letter was regarding the Iowa state legislature's opening prayer by imam Mohammed Khan, and his four minute prayer.
Janet Levy in the FrontPage Magazine site on Feb. 1, had quite a bit to say about this, as she provided considerable details about the incident, as well as similar incidents around the country. You can see her article HERE, and some of the remarks in this post.
Levy spoke of Khan's prayer, mentioning it included such phrases as pleas for “victory over those who disbelieve” and “protection from the Great Satan.” WAIT A MINUTE! WE, are supposed to be the great satan, aren't we? And this is what the Iowa legislature finds appealing enough to allow? Apparently not, as the comments did tend to twist a few peoples britches. Pastor Steve Smith of the Evangelical Free Church in Albert City, and Iowa State Representative Gary Worthan have made known their displeasure. Worthan plans to protest the prayer to the Speaker of the House.
But Iowa isn't the only state succumbing to this. Texas and Washington states also have their problems. As reported by Levy;
In April 2007, Imam Yusuf Kavakci of the Dallas Central Mosque, who has served the Dallas area for 20 years and claims to be a “moderate,” was hosted by Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst and Senator Florence Shapiro. Kavakci was asked to open the Texas Senate with its first Islamic prayer. This event was attended by members of the Baptist General Convention of Texas Christian Life Commission, the Texas Conference of Churches, Texas Impact, and the Texas Islamic Council. It was promoted by the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization terrorism expert Steven Emerson characterizes as “a radical fundamental front group for Hamas.”
At the invocation, Dr. Kavakci, a board member of the Wahhabist Islamic Society of North America, read from the opening chapter of the Koran, Al-Fatehah. The text included: “All praise is for Allah, our lord, the lord of the worlds, the compassionate, the merciful, master of the day of judgments. Oh, God, Allah, you alone we worship, and you alone we call on for help. Oh, Allah, guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom you have favored, not of those who have earned your wrath or of those who have lost the way….”
And the incident in Washington that Levy writes;
During the 2003 “Muslim week,” two lawmakers in the State of Washington made news by refusing to participate during a prayer offered by Imam Mohamed Joban of the Olympia Islamic Center. Yet Joban had made statements defending Muslim chaplain Captain James Yee, who was arrested that same year. Yee, a Chinese-American Muslim convert since 1991 who served as a chaplain at Guantanamo Bay detention camp, was charged with espionage. He pleaded guilty to transporting classified documents and lying to military investigators. To protect national security, charges against Yee were reduced to mishandling classified information and later dropped. According to a list obtained from terrorism expert Steven Emerson, Yee had ordered $26,000 worth of Arabic and English books, many of which espoused a radical Islamic ideology, for detainee use during his assignment to Gitmo. Yee’s friend, Air Force translator and Syrian-born Muslim Ahmad al-Halabi pleaded guilty to transporting classified documents and lying to military investigators. Yee has led prayers and substituted for Joban at the Olympia Islamic Center.
Representatives Lois McMahan and Cary Condotta left the floor of the State Assembly during the prayer. McMahan was condemned for her actions and criticized for demonstrating a “lack of respect” for the Imam and exhibiting “Islamophobic hate.” She was chastised for causing divisiveness that would serve to increase discrimination of American Muslims and adversely affect the image of the United States. Following pressure from CAIR and hundreds of negative e-mails, Reps. McMahan and Condotta were pressured to apologize to the Imam. Two days later, when Joban was invited to return, he shook hands with the previously absent lawmakers who espoused respect for the imam’s God-given right for freedom of religious expression.
Expression or not, clearly this is a violation of the "separation" thingy. So much for that. The ACLU loves to howl on about the use of religion in government. Where are they in incidents such as these? Being big on being "left," they quietly tucked themselves away.
Levy closes out her article with a perfectly placed warning;
Americans would be wise to heed the words uttered by Muslim Brotherhood founder, Sheik Yusuf Qaradawi in 1995, “America will not be conquered by the sword, but by da’wa.” This Muslim proselytizing is already well underway to a significant extent in the United States with the assistance of our very own “unbeliever” politicians, who fail to recognize that the true agenda of radical Islam is worldwide domination and the subjugation of non-Muslims.
It doesn't get much more acurate than that.

Sex Scandal Amnesia: Did We Forget Kilpatrick Is A Democrat?
Whenever a person need be reminded of which direction the media leans, they need look no further than what they report. Since the 60's, the media has been increasingly and very decidedly, to the left. A study was even conducted by a UCLA political scientist and it turns out, yes, they found the media slanted to the left. A counter argument went out about the study, ridculing it as biased itself since the poli-sci. leader was involved with mutliple conservative factors.
Take a guess at where the detraction came from. Yeah, Media Matters. Might as well have been the Huffington Post or New York/L.A. Times. -nuff said.
But on to more relevant fodder. It appears that whenever there is a Republican involved in a sex scandal, it's big news, and prominent mention is always made of either the GOP, Conservatives, Republicans, or even references to the lack of morals or standards. And quite rightly, they should. Whenever a public servant, (and yes, ALL politicians are public servants, regardless of how self absorbed, or important they think they are,) betrays the public trust, it should all be hung out to dry. Think most recently of R-Larry Craig.
But shouldn't that SAME standard be upheld when a Democrat fails? Ah yes, it should. But never is. Remember, that would look bad for the party that the media most supports. Which often causes media outlets to suffer from severe bouts of amnesia that strike with PLENTY of forewarning.
Case in point; co-host Ann Curry on the Thursday edition of the Today show. During her report, Curry somehow managed to completely forget that recently disgraced (and quite possibly facing charges of perjury) Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was a Democrat. Just completely skipped her mind. And during the entire seven minute public apology, where Kilpatrick asked everyone but the kitchen sink to forgive him, not once did the big "(D)-" appear on screen. Not by his name, not conspicuously propped out of the way in a corner. Nowhere.
Ultimately, this is the same kind of one-sided mumbo jumbo we have seen for decades now, and no doubtedly will continue to have to endure for ages to come, until the left is able to achieve that miraculous Utopian society where we all have free health care, state governed auto insurance, and we all partake in the governemnt dole since we are unable to care for ourselves.

U.S. Still Not Ready To Deal With Major Attack
I've often wondered, as I have even mentioned on occasion in some of my articles, exactly just how prepared are we, for another devastating attack here in America. It's a very legitimate question when you consider all the factors involved. Items such as the gutting of the border fence that was in the 9/11 commissions report add a realistic view to the possibilities of such an event occurring again.
And what of our emergency services personnel? Don't get me wrong, I strongly support all the efforts they give daily, as I did when I served in The Corps, but are they being given the equipment and training they need to deal with such an event?
According to a new commission report released yesterday, (Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008,) they aren't. At least, the National Guard and Reserves aren't. AGAIN, don't read this the wrong way, as I do not hold them responsible for the conclusions given in the 400 page report. I point my blaming finger at those above them. The decision makers in the government for letting them, and us, down. The pathetic excuse for a Congress we currently have, with it's "100 days" joke isn't helping matters.
According to commission Chairman Arnold Punaro during an interview with the Associated Press, "Right now we don't have the forces we need, we don't have them trained, we don't have the equipment. Even though there is a lot going on in this area, we need to do a lot more. ... There's a lot of things in the pipeline, but in the world we live in — you're either ready or you're not." And Punaro isn't just some schmuck commentator either. Rather, he is a retired Marine Corps Major General. So he more than probably has at least a hint of an idea of what he's talking about.
More than likely, the best possible action that can be taken, is for individual states administrations themselves, to get off of their high horses and start acting themselves. Wouldn't be an incredible boost of confidence in a sitting politicians image, if they themselves started working on obtaining the necessary equipment BEFORE something bad happens? But that would be a logical move, of which, we see very little of these days.
