A couple weeks ago, Rep. Sue Myrick revealed a 10-step plan to aide in defending our nation from the influx of islamofascism. That plan is (as described by one commenter, PMK) being quietly buried by our compliant media as well as our politicians...
The plan also seems to have gotten the tightie-whities of one Jibril Hough in a bunch. Hough, a spokesman for the Islamic Center of Charlotte has attempted to equate Myrick's proposal with McCarthyism, or in his terms, Myrickism. "A campaign of fear" was the headlining title for the article in the Charlotte Observer, in which Hough was joined by (D.)Ross Overby who will be challenging Myrick for her 9th district seat.
On an aside, it's a shame that those who continue to utilize the "McCarthy syndrome," don't keep up with the news. Or perhaps since it's been a short while in passing, they just don't remember hearing that McCarthy was proven to be correct in his assumptions. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Or maybe that "fair and balanced" media just simply forgot to report much about it.
The award for "most expected to also be pissed off" over Myrick's plan goes to the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations. Accepting the award for them, (since many of their leadership personages have already, or are currently being prosecuted for terrorist ties,) will most probably be a representative from the Muslim Brotherhood. Hey, it's to be expected since CAIR is merely a front group for them. It might also have something to do with the fact that part of Myrick's proposal calls for CAIR's ties and non-profit status to be investigated.
Anyhow, Myrick HAS responded to Hough, demanding a point by point rebuttal of her plan. Myrick also said, "I'd be glad to have a dialogue with them. The whole point is that we're trying to get people to work together." But that's not likely to happen, as it's hard to refute the truth. Hence personal attacks, via McCarthy parallels and rants about seeking political gain.

UPDATE: 1-2-2008; For those who may be wondering, yes you are correct, I haven't written anything new for a few days. I have been pondering, and decided to go through with, going on a writting sabatical for a few months. With all the political mess we are in now, and all the crap we've been put through over the last year and a half, I need the rest, just as America needs a rest from liberals. Barack Attack: Was It Too Little, Or Too Late?
Well, it looks like the racist preacher that Obama could no sooner disown than his own grandmother, has finally been tossed under the bus. Obama spoke harshly of Rev. Wright the other day during an impromptu press conference. But was his speech enough to save his candidacy? And did it come soon enough?
I for one, believe not. Oh, it was stirring, with all the denouncements he could pack into the few minutes. But it would have made a greater impact if he gave this speech back in Philadelphia as a part of the "feel good" speech he gave about healing racial tensions. If anything, that would have been his best call. Even I, who am in no way a supporter of the Obama-nation, had to admit that his previous speech was somewhat moving, although still fell short for me.
But it turns out as I wrote previously, that Rev. Wright IS turning out to be the swiftboat that is going to eventually sink Barack's love boat. The steam is beginning to run low and his candidate status is feeling the weighty pressure of politics as more of his "self" is made known to the public. And what we've been seeing lately, like bitter people clinging to guns and religion, isn't helping to build America's confidence in it's golden child candidate either.
But something about his Anti-Wright rant bothered me that I just couldn't put my finger on. Fortunately, today's GOPUSA.com e-letter had EXACTLY the thing I was searching for. Today's article by Bobby Eberle brought the "Gold Bond medicated powder" needed to quell that nasty little rant-rash that was plaguing me.
One thing was that Obama didn't appear to be truly ticked off at Wright for making outrageous statements. He did however, appear to be genuinely miffed when Wright mentioned "playing politics" while speaking of Obama. Aha! That's what it was. Wright getting personal is what pissed Obama off, not that he was continuing to speak out against America.
Eberle mentions that it's likely Wright would have gotten yet another pass from Obama, if Wright hadn't made it a "personal issue." Also mentioned is that Obama really has no political record of significance, legislative legacy to go after. But that his candidacy is more so based on his judgement and vision for America. And if that's all Obama has going for him as Eberle says, his judgment regarding Rev. Wright calls into question his judgement in other areas as well.

Orphans Of The Corn: Stop The Massacre
Just a few days ago I gave my rant about biofuels, and included an article by Arnaud de Borchgrave. As it looks, neither Arnaud's or my article were far off track. Actually, they were pretty dead on. That Biofuels were of particular fault in the economic and humanitarian crisis being felt around the world.
As it looks, the failed mandate by Congress to eventually replace fossil fuels with biofuels such as ethanol, are causing problems the world over. It's hit such a point that the World Bank has called on the G7 to increase emergency food assistance as 33 countries around the world are facing civil unrest due to high food prices and shortages.
And the way it's coming out, the proponents of biofuels are to blame. Period. Elizabeth Stuart, a spokesman for the Oxfam anti-poverty group has said, "’Half of the increase in the demand for major food crops was due to the move to biofuels,’ she said. ‘These have dubious environment benefits, and by driving up prices, are crippling the lives of the poor. ... The [World] Bank, with other international institutions and the G7, must come up with a joint plan to tackle this crisis.’”
Even the U.N.'s Right To Food independent expert Jean Ziegler has called for the five year moratorium on biofuel production to come to a halt as the growing practice of converting food crops into biofuels is "a crime against humanity.'' I normally don't put much stock in the U.N. But when it involves humanitarian problems, I at least lend ear to it. Then make my decisions.
Not only is it the subsidization of corn (and other food staples such as wheat, sugarcane, rice, etc.,) to be used for biofuels that's hurting the poverty stricken areas. But the increased fuel and energy costs to simply deliver it has added to the burden. Lawrence Kudlow (a former Reagan economic advisor) has said, “…The continued decline in the value of the dollar … has permitted the global commodities boom (energy and corn) to leak into higher U.S. inflation. Bulging commodity costs have depressed the profits of non-financial domestic businesses...”
All this goes to show a few things; First is, there's NOTHING that the government can't screw up. Second is, these are all things that government could have prevented by not getting involved, from the ethanol mandate to increasing the money supply. Thirdly, less (smaller) government allows for less interference. And lastly, it proves yet again the government which governs least, governs the best.

Free Speech For Chaplains: Executive Order Needed
So, for about the last four years or so, Military Chaplains have been taking heat over invoking the name Jesus in their prayers. Slowly at first. But now becoming commonplace. About a year and a half ago, it was supposed that this issue was being dealt with. Apparently, it didn't happen after all.
I delved into this issue a bit earlier on, back in October 2007. You can skim through that article HERE whilst also addressing a similar but separate topic; http://hoopyfrooddude.blogspot.com/2007/10/freedom-of-speech-not-for-military.html
Now, spearheading a campaign to preserve the First Amendment, in the form of free speech for military chaplains, the ACLJ along with Congressman Walter Jones of North Carolina are calling for an Executive Order from the President. A petition is being circulated to allow and protect a military chaplains right to pray as their faith dictates.
HERE is the ACLJ page regarding this issue; http://www.aclj.org/TrialNotebook/Read.aspx?id=612
Whatever an individual thinks about "government employees" and religion is completely irrelevant in this matter. It was put best by Congressman Jones when he said,
"A chaplain demonstrates his faith through the medium of speech in his worship services, his counseling, and the other functions he performs in his role as both advisor to the commander for religious matters and as a representative of his faith community to the Army. I believe a chaplain represents the Constitution at work; he practices freedom of religion while facilitating the religious freedom of others, and does so by exercising free speech without establishing an official government religion. . . .Allowing this outrageous suppression to go unaddressed is a repudiation of the very principles upon which our liberties depend and which soldiers defend."
For those who are concerned about "Civil Rights" abuses in America, regardless of religious bent, (or lack there of,) this should actually be of great concern to you. When chaplains, military or otherwise, begin to lose their freedom of speech, what, or even WHO is next? Religions other than Judeo-Christian based religions debased? Freedom to assemble denied? Any other rights you enjoy coming to mind at this point?
I recommend at least looking into the subject, to get a better understanding as to what kind of "other abuses" are happening in our country, that don't make it into our "fair and balanced" media.

What Muslims Really Think by Dinesh D'Souza
This was a rather interesting article I came across on TownHall.com today. And one can only "hope" that it's a correct assessment found there in. But from personal experience with the Muslim communities, (both home and abroad,) I have the same thought as one of the commenter's; "It will take more than a few surveys to convince me."
The article is entitled "What Muslims Really Think," and was written by Dinesh D'Souza. D'Souza's article is about a recently released book by Dalia Mogahed and John Esposito. The book, "Who Speaks for Islam: What a Billion Muslims Really Think," is supposedly to be one of the first books available that puts tangible data behind the question of muslim thought.
The authors apparently have some weight to put behind the work according to the article. It lists Esposito as being "one of the most respected American authorities on Islam," and credits Mogahed as being the head of a study group of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies. The data mentioned above, was gathered through both the above listed Gallup group as well as the World Values Survey, which collects info over decades.
D'Souza's article lets on that in actuality, most muslims do appreciate the freedoms, (for the most part) that the rest of the world enjoys. But it abhors LIBERALISM. I know that's gonna get some panties in a bunch. But it specifies that there are TWO types of liberalism.
As described in the article, "There is the classical liberalism of the American founding. Call this Liberalism 1. This liberalism is reflected in such principles as the right to vote, to assemble freely, to debate issues, to trade with others, to practice one’s religion, political and religious toleration, and so on.... Then there is the modern liberalism of the 1960s. Call this Liberalism 2. This liberalism is defined by such tenets as the right to blaspheme, the complete exclusion of religious symbols from the public square, the right of teenage boys and girls to receive sex education and contraceptives, the right to abortion, prostitution as a worker's right, pornography as a protected form of expression, gay rights and gay marriage, and so on."
It's liberalism 2 that's getting under the skin of the islamic world, and allowing personages such as Bin Laden, Sadyr and the likes to pull more traditional muslims into their folds. Hence an almost continuous string of cannon fodder for bombings and such.
This is all fine and great that it's simply liberalism that's causing the problems. Like we didn't all already know that in the first place. But when I find news of about 35% of muslims in England supported the 7/7 bombings, and are sympathetic to Al-Qaeda and other organizations, it kind of puts a damper on positive thought in relating to said religion.
As I said above, one can only "HOPE" that the data is correct, and some form of detente can be reached. But I'm not going to hold my breathe for it.

Rev. Wracist, I Mean Rev. Wright Speaks
Well by now you've all seen the news clips, that the Rev. Wright has finally agreed to do a propaganda video, ... erm, I mean interview, since the "Wright-Gate" fallout began to burst the Obama-Bubble of love. Like any now-a-days Hollywood movies, if you've seen the trailer, you've seen the movie.
Wright has already told us what we knew to be true.
And there's really no need for us to hear him speak again. (And Obama can only wish he wouldn't speak again, ever.) Rev. Wright has made it pretty clear that he is anti-American and a racist. End of story. At least, one would think that to be the end. But nooooooo. Wright had a few things to say when interviewed on PBS by Bill Moyers that just added to the wonderful mind-blowing rants we've been subjected to.
Wright spoke of how he is a preacher, and Obama is a politician. He continued with how Obama was up there just "speaking like a politician," when responding to the remarks Wright made in his sermons. And how Wright just preaches the word, and they are two separate things.
Sorry Wright. Itty-bitty sound bites or not, your racist rants were a preaching of politics, not the "Word of God." I don't recall finding anywhere in the Gospels let alone anywhere else in the Bible, Old or New Testaments, of Jesus or The Lord giving a parable of "the U.S. government shalt inflictith thine people with the wrath of AIDS." I wasn't able to find any reference anywhere in the Bible of "and Arabs shalt siezeth many craft, of which the likes thou hast never seeneth to slam into their towers for their iniquity."
Sorry, couldn't find them. They're just not there, no matter how much you try to "interpret" the texts in your sermons favor, it's not flying with America.
Leave it to the media, that "fair and balanced" media that is, to completely gloss over the entire racial aspect of the issue. A lot of mention on how Wright and his "ministry" if that's what you want to call it, have been mischaracterized. How do you mischaracterize "..NO..not God Bless America,.. God DAMN America.."?
But you can read more on this at the Media Research Center's site HERE and HERE.

Toy Guns Being Declared Evil In Philadelphia
In the never ending assault on the Second Amendment rights of Americans, the Leftinstra has extended their battle now to, TOY guns. Yes, you read that correctly. TOY guns are up on the debate block of being banned in Philadelphia. Why? Because "Some of these guns look really, really real," as City Councilwoman Donna Miller exclaimed.
Yeah, whatever Donna.
In truth, Miller is just a bit miffed that a judge has put a temporary hold on a batch of gun laws that had just been enacted in the city, pending a full hearing on April 28th. Apparently the saying is true; Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Truth be told, Miller is just worried that the Supreme Court will decide in favor of upholding the recent decision in the Washington, D.C. "gun ban" case. So now she is concerned that children playing with them as toys may become comfortable with what seems like the real thing. "We don't want them to get used to the idea of using a weapon," as Miller put it.
Heavens no! We would NEVER want our children to get used to the idea of, or get comfortable with, using an item/right that has been guaranteed American citizens for over 200 years. That would just be unthinkable.
In a very poor attempt to cover her A$$, Miller's bill is supposed to specify that it's designed to, "ban toys that could be perceived as real. The bill she says would not cover toy guns that are clearly plastic or brightly colored." Let's step into the REAL world here for a minute Miller. How many kids, (minus their "realistic" looking toy guns,) will still grab the nearest NERF golf club and, shouldering it like a rifle will shout "BANG BANG! Your Dead!"
Your a putz Miller, just like the rest of the Disarm America loonies. Isn't there a global warming scheme somewhere you could be promoting?
Anyways, Miller's bill is set to be debated amongst a committee shortly. How much of the cities money will be wasted on just that? Enough to possibly put a couple more cops on the street in that town? Go figure.

Virtual Border Not Working: Well DUH!
Did anyone really believe that a "virtual fence" was going to prevent anyone from entering the U.S. illegally? What, did everyone suddenly get stupid(er) overnight and think that illegal aliens are descended from a giant race of MIMES or something?
I can just see it now, a crowd building by hundreds a day on the Arizona/Mexico border pressing thier noses against a non-existant wall. (Pass the white face paint and berets will ya.) Ooh, virtual wall, you can't travel through here.
Please. Give me, as well as my pocket book, a break. Yes, mine and yours wallets took a considerable hit from this pathetic fiasco. To the tune of about $20 million in tax payer money. And now, the original "Virtual Fence" program is being scrapped. Why, you may ask. Well, because it DOESN'T FREAKIN' WORK!
But it will apparently be replaced with newer technology. To include newer cameras, radar and improved communications. Great, swap one bad idea for another. Here's a novel idea, how about just building the fence that was originally mandated by the 9/11 commission! Oh wait, the Democrats voted to de-fund the crap out of the appropriations bill that would have funded that, a mere two hours after it approved the funding.
So still, no fence. I wonder just how much this NEWER virtual failure will cost us. Boeing was originally awarded an $860 million contract for the majority of the work. I think we should revoke it due to failure to perform reasons. Eventually, it will probably cost a considerable bit more than just building the fence would have cost in the first place.
And I don't mean a cheapo six foot high chain linked fence. I mean the nasty dual layer fence with the anti-personnel and anti-vehicle barriers fence that the 9/11 commission mandated in the first place. Heck, we can help Egypt and other countries rebuild thier fences, why the heck can't we get our own done?
So here we are, again. Stuck with a bunch of idiots, making decisions based on a load of B.S. And undermining not only the Nations security, but continuing to add to the the downfall of the American economy.
Should we just start chanting "viva la reconquista" now?

Biofuels And Why They Suck: Greed And Crisis
Say what you want about NewsMax, but once in a while they carry a story that hits the nail on the head. And all arguments fall short of even touching the content. Case in point is an article today by Arnaud de Borchgrave titled, "Greed Fuels Food, Subprime Mortgage Crises."
Arnaud's article drives at the heart of much of today's financial and humanitarian problem. GREED. Greed in a manner he outlines as poor lending practices and profiteering driving what is now estimated to be a $1.1 Trillion mortgage crisis. It's now been described as the largest loss of wealth in U.S. History. Sounds about right.
The redirecting of corn towards biofuels causing large portions of populations being unable to even acquire sustenance amounts of food. Can we say "Food Riots?" Oh wait, we already can. (Cough, cough, Haiti, cough, Egypt.) And of course, even with it's already spiraling deficit, America launches out over $200 million in aid to try and help. And the World Food Program chief is asking for an additional $500 million.
Oil prices climbing upwards of $117 a barrel are now the norm as commodities transactors sat on huge stocks of oil until the price jumped enough for a good profit. Prices that are nearly double of what last years was. Wait, what about the biofuels? Aren't they the wave of the future. Yeah, you keep believing that.
Personally, I find it revolting that groups are pushing the "biofuel" angle, when that FOOD could be put to so much better use. Like, actually feeding people. The WFP estimates that over 25,000 people die daily from starvation, and some environmentalist is more concerned about what fuels your car. Sickening.
But before I go off the deep end about an entirely different subject, head over and skim through Arnaud's article. It will bring you some enlightenment to the issues of the day.

TIME Magazine Author Bryan Walsh Is Going To Hell For Sacrilege
It's not a matter of IF?, But WHEN! And just depends on which Veteran gets his hands on him first as to what happens to him. I know TIME has it's standard liberal bent like the majority of the media outlets do. But a mortal sin like this, isn't covered by the same "ART" excuse that Andres Serrano got away with on "Piss Christ." This doesn't qualify as art.
Walsh is doomed. And heaven forbid I be the one to find him first, as I'll most likely bury a Ka-Bar in his A$$ for this travesty. It would be a fitting end to the bastard.
If your wondering what's got me so riled up, TIME Magazine has made what can only be described as the poorest choice in history for a magazine cover to promote global warming. And at the same time, ridicule one of the bloodiest yet Nation-wide morale boosting images of all time. They have chosen to swap the American flag out of the Iwo Jima Memorial for a TREE!

An actual Iwo Jima veteran, Donald Mates was quoted as saying, "It's an absolute disgrace! Whoever, did it is going to hell. That's a mortal sin. God forbid [TIME author Bryan Walsh] runs into a Marine that was an Iwo Jima survivor." Mates added, "To stick a tree in place of a flag on the Iwo Jima picture is sacrilegious." My sentiments exactly.
The TIME article, How to Win the War on Global Warming actually has the audacity to try and compare the global warming hoax with a momentous battle wherein over 7,000 Americans died, and another 18,000 were wounded. It was even speculated that Japanese Commanding General (of the Iwo Jima Japanese defense forces,) Tadamichi Kuribayashi had stated that it would take 1 million men, 100 years to capture Iwo Jima. The Marines and fellow service members did it in 36-days.
And now TIME has the nerve to disgrace this accomplishment by equating it with global warming.
Sickening, to say the least. Thanks to FireSociety for brining this to our attention.

Iran FEARS NewsMax.com..?
This was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Especially since everyone has seen the credibility arguments, both for and against NewsMax. But apparently, there is some moxie to this as Asr Iran, a pro-Iranian government website is warning against a Kieth Timmerman article on NewsMax.
HERE is a link to the original article by Timmerman that the Asr Iran website is warning about, written on Apr. 15th;
http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/shiite_Muqtada_Sadr/2008/04/15/88245.html
And HERE is the recent NewsMax article about the warning, written today, Apr. 17th by Jim Myers;
http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/Asr_Iran_Muqtada_Sadr/2008/04/16/88531.html?s=al&promo_code=496A-1
We can bounce back and forth for years about credibility, but it would be moot for both sides. This is just funny no matter how you look at it. The fact that an entire nation has become preoccupied to the point that it's primary pro-government site has issued a warning, is simply beyond laughable.
As you read in the above link, Timmerman's article simply brought up that Iran was placing pressure on Al-Sadr (in the form of house arrest and frozen accounts) for supporting insurgents in Basra. And that these actions could jeopardize relations with Iran since the insurgents there, lost. That's pretty much it. Not a lot more than that was said, other than some comments from Bush about acting to defend both U.S. interests and Iraqi allies. And some mentionings about some of Al-Sadr's actions. But that's about it.
That's cause for sending tremors through Iran's Government? If that's all it takes, one platoon of Boy Scouts could overrun their country! Anyways, I'll leave you to your reading. Will be a good laugh, whether you like NewsMax or not.

Lethal Injections: Back On The Menu
To be honest, I'm really not sure whether to shout out, "Praise the Lord, and pass the syringes..," or be a bit despondent about the decision. Part of me is glad for the 7-2 decision by the Supreme Court Justices. The other part says, perhaps there should be some white hot movement in ensuring they have the right guy.
Reason I bring these two points up is, in California, the state in which I live, we have well over 600 inmates sitting on death row. In a California jail, you have a much higher probability of dying of old age on death row, than the sentence actually being carried out. Depending on the felon's age, that goes from a sizable expense, to a VERY sizable expense. Housing, feeding, medical care, etc. That money doesn't just appear from no where. That's tax payer money giving that criminal HDTV and other frivolous amenities.
Yet, at the same time, there have been a considerable number of inmates released over the last couple years because of results from DNA testing and the like. From what I recall, none of them were on death row, but that's actually irrelevant here. Some were falsely accused by being "in the wrong place at the wrong time," and happened to resemble the real suspect. I'd actually be bothered a bit to find out the wrong guy was juiced.
The sad part legally is, the entire moratorium was created because of the "cruel and unusual punishment" angle, also referred to as the Eighth Amendment. Personally, I don't get it. In many cases, the felon, caused a very cruel death in the first place. So that should have made the whole argument moot from the start. Which is almost how the final decision was made when you consider it for a moment. As found on the NewsOK.com site, Chief Justice John Roberts, writing an opinion that was joined by two other justices, said;
"Some risk of pain is inherent in any method of execution — no matter how humane — if only from the prospect of error in following the required procedure.. It is clear, then, that the Constitution does not demand the avoidance of all risk of pain in carrying out executions.. Roberts, whose opinion was joined by Justices Anthony M. Kennedy and Samuel Alito, also wrote that a death row inmate couldn't successfully challenge a state's method of execution "merely by showing a slightly or marginally safer alternative.""
Personally, I'd like to see a little more "eye for an eye" kinda punishment put into use. Molest a kid? Perhaps we should cuff your wrists to your ankles and toss you in a cell with Bubba. "Bubba, you got one hour with him, and he better be alive when the times up. Enjoy!" Did the kid die from the damage of the molestation? "Oh, wait Bubba. You can forget that last part. Have at it!" Might put a bit of a damper on child molestations, don't ya think?
But anyways, there's plenty more about this found on the following few links. Even the Guardian had a bit about it. Read on! Guardian.co.uk. NPR.org. AP.Google.com.

Thank (Insert Deity) For Stupid People
I believe a big thanks needs to be extended to the stupid people in today's society. I don't mean our average run of the mill Darwin Award winners. They are thanked enough when they completely remove themselves from the planetary gene pool.
I'm referring to our "new wave" of stupid people. You know the ones I'm talking about. We've seen them all over the news as of late. The ones who are stupid, AND RECORD their actions for either personal posterity, or because they are even dumber than we even managed to believe was possible.
And yes, on occasion, we are blessed with these "bright stars" removing themselves in the same manner as Darwin Award participants. But normally they live to serve as a reminder, that some people, are just plain stupid.
Example number 1. The teen cheerleaders ambush. Now, correct me if I'm wrong. But did any of them actually believe they wouldn't catch some flak, legally, for this? One of the several girls that jumped the lone teen, LIVES WITH THE VICTIM! Are you Nucking Futs? Fortunately, reality prevails and the group will be prosecuted as adults. Thanks for the video. Your now officially screwed. Here's one of 1,000's of vids on this;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea_UK_jgQq4
Example Number 2. If your a pot smoker, don't record your ugly ass forcing the dope pipe on an 18 month old toddler. Especially if your too stupid to remember to REMOVE THE VIDEO from the camera before pawing it off to go buy more pot. Again, fortunately, the Pawn Shop owner thought to review the camera during clean-up to prep it for sale, and found the video still in it. By the way, good luck in your trial for drug dealing and being caught with $4-million in cash, 80+ firearms, a ton of pot, as well as being armed while dealing. Your now officially over screwed. This one's still pretty new, so not many vids circulating of it yet. Here's one;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6npU6eR1Zi8
Example Number 3. If your an extremist of one sort or another recording yourself for the glory of Allah, making a training video, or just being terroristic, learn to USE the equipment correctly, FIRST. For me, there is nothing more humorous than watching some turd shouting "Aluah Akbar" as he blows himself up while using a mortar. Here's a vid;

So all in all, I think a big round of applause is due to our hero's of stupidity. And deep admiration for those who have the courage to take it to the ultimate limit and remove themselves from existence for good.

"Jamiel's Law": It's A Good Start
On March 2nd 2008 in the Los Angeles area, hispanic gang members pulled up next to a black teen walking home from. After having asked him "Where are you from?" they gunned him down. Five days later, the shooter was caught and is being charged with murder. What's so special or unusual about that? Especially in Los Angeles?
The victim was 17 year old Jamiel Shaw. Shaw, was not a gang member. Shaw, was actually a good student at Los Angeles High School. Shaw, was also a standout running back on the school's Football team, and managed to garner an MVP title for his Southern League. Shaw had even been offered recruitment opportunities by Universities like Stanford. Add to that, his mother was overseas serving in Iraq.
Okay. So. I'm still not seeing anything that really stands out here.
Well, the suspected shooter is 19-year-old Pedro Espinoza. Espinoza had JUST BEEN released from jail the previous day. Espinoza, is also an ILLEGAL ALIEN! Yes, part of the crowd that "Provides services to Americans that Americans won't do." Well, I suppose that could be considered a truth in this case as all the Americans I know WON'T go out gunning down teenagers. Let alone anyone else.
But it's a crime that didn't have to happen. Why wasn't Espinoza deported when he was already in custody? That's an easy one. Since 1979, there has been an outstanding order that BARS officers from enforcing federal immigration laws. What? You mean Los Angeles has, in actuality, been a sanctuary-city since 1979? Yeah, it has.
Fortunately, legislation is in the works to change all that. Walter Moore, a running opponent to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, has drafted a city ordinance that's meant to crack down on illegal immigrant gangs. And Jamiel Shaw's family is behind it! They spoke at its introduction at a Los Angeles City Council meeting and urged them to pass it.
One can only hope that it does. Los Angeles, under the guiding hand of ex-gang-member-turned-ACLU lawyer-who-failed-the-BAR-exam-four-times-before-getting-it-right-so-he-could-defend-gang-members-against-the-LAPD Villaraigosa, has gotten exponentially worse over the years. It could use, and seriously needs some cleaning up.
Jamiel's Law would be a good place to start.

Income Tax Is EVIL: 16th Amendment Needs To Be Abolished
A co-worker of mine gave me a very interesting article last night. It's about how, to the government, the Income Tax is THEIR "root of all evil," and its creation with the 16th Amendment. It's kinda become like their version of a century old "crack-cocaine" fix.
However, in all fairness, I seriously doubt that in 1913 when the amendment was first established the legislators could have perceived the immensity of today's government. I do believe they knew it would grow exponentially, but not ballooned, exploded if you will, to such an unnecessary extent.
The article was written by Gary M. Galles (a Pepperdine Univ. Economics Professor) and is found in the Opinion section of Thursday's, April 10th edition of the Orange County Register. HERE is the link;
http://www.ocregister.com/articles/government-income-tax-2015412-power-taxation
Here is what the article revolves around. The 16th Amendment states as found on the Cornell Univ. Law School site;
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
The most important part of the amendment? "..without apportionment.." That essentially means, not only can they TAKE the money, but they can spend it however THEY wish.
........??? It seems Frank Chodorov got it dead right in his book he wrote back in 1953 when he said, "The government says …'Your earnings are not exclusively your own; we have a claim on them, and our claim precedes yours … whatever we grant you for yourself is for us to decide." You can find more about his book HERE;
http://www.mises.org/etexts/rootofevil.asp
All this is the gist of Galles article. Galles writes, "After struggling with forms and documentation, you pay more than reason would dictate to support policies you often oppose and finance politicians' bribes to buy others' votes."
How often are we seeing our tax dollars going to causes, that go against the wishes of the people? Depending on which poll you go by, upwards of 70% of Americans are against most forms of abortion. Yet, last year, Planned Genocide not only made a $125 million profit, but accepted over $175 million in tax payer funding. And they actually have the nerve to ask for three times that, this year.
A serious review of the 16th Amendment needs to be established, to match today's circumstances. The income tax can, and should, be abolished as it serves no purpose other than to become a increasingly deepening piggy bank for the government. America's infrastructure, military, and "General Welfare," can be provided for with a simple 19%-23% flat tax... period.
No more need for this-tax and that-tax. No more need for the IRS. Chodorov said it best, "The independence of the people is in direct proportion to the amount of their wealth they can enjoy. We cannot restore traditional American freedom unless we limit the government's power to tax."
Time to start "LIMITING" taxation my fellow Americans.

Cpl. Cesar Laurean Captured In Mexico: Dual Citizenship Troubles
I wanted to wait just a bit before tapping this out, as there seemed to be some concerns that weren't being immediately addressed by the media. Yes, Cpl. Cesar Laurean HAS been captured, in a small town in Mexico called Tacambaro. NO, he will not be facing the death penalty, as Mexico won't extradite when "death" is on the table.
Here's the random details "filler" section. Laurean has been the target of an international manhunt for about 3 months now. Laurean was captured, almost by accident, when he walked up to a roadblock and was questioned. Laurean provided his REAL name, which clicked and got him arrested. Laurean stated he had been living in an avocado field for some time, living off the fruit from trees. Laurean now faces extradition to the U.S. to face murder charges in the death of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach, who had accused him of rape. Her charred remains were located in Laurean's backyard. A computer was confiscated from his home near Camp Lejeune which was being used to communicate with him in Mexico.
End of the generic details portion.
But more importantly, is the amount of time it may take for him to even be extradited to the U.S. Which was the point I was getting at in the title. Laurean possesses DUAL citizenship, where as, he is technically both a Mexican AND an American. Should Laurean decide to fight extradition, it could be upwards of two or more YEARS before he even sets foot on U.S. soil. Not to mention the trial time thereafter.
Why are people allowed to maintain a second citizenship? Especially in this case. As a Marine, you technically are a federal employee. Hence the term G.I. (Government Issue.) Shouldn't a government employee, of any stature, be required to maintain a single citizenship of the country employing you?
At one point in my life, after completing my four years in the Marine Corps, I actually contemplated a switch to British citizenship, while inquiring of employ with the British S.A.S. Fortunately, that switch was negated as you have to actually be BORN British to join their ranks. But it was a switch I would have made to perform the job. Afterwards, would have come the decision to return to American citizenship. But that would have been some time down the road.
This dual citizenship debacle needs to end. Either you are an American citizen, or you are here on a work visa of some sort. There was something going around, a comment of some description. It was by I believe Theodore Roosevelt that went something like, "In this country, we have no room for Hyphenated Americans!" Become an American, and ONLY an American, or get out.
If anything, it would reduce the amount of time it would take to get these bastards back on U.S. soil to get them prosecuted.

The Study of Political Islam: A Must Read
For those who haven't seen it yet, (myself included,) there was a very good, in depth article on Front Page Magazine back in Feb. 2007, that all should read regarding Political Islam. I myself just received it today via an American Congress for Truth e-letter.
There is no way I can summarize the article enough and still project it's full force of understanding. But I'll attempt to keep brevity in the forefront. The article is an interview between FPM's Jamie Glazov and CSPI's (Center for the Study of Political Islam) director, Bill Warner.
Glazov's interview of Warner covers many, many, aspects of Islam and why the average person today truly understands so little of it. Warner describes the CSPI as, "a group of scholars who are devoted to the scientific study of the foundational texts of Islam—Koran, Sira (life of Mohammed) and Hadith (traditions of Mohammed)." Of which, Warner states, they're studying both the doctrine and history of Islam, or as CSPI sees it, the theory and its results.
Warner says that the major breakthrough was understanding that "dualism is the foundation and key to understanding Islam. Everything about Islam comes in twos starting with its foundational declaration: (1) there is no god but Allah and (2) Mohammed is His prophet. Therefore, Islam is Allah (Koran) and the Sunna (words and deeds of Mohammed found in the Sira and Hadith)."
Warner mentions the Koran as actually being two books in one; the Koran of Mecca (early) and the Koran of Medina (later). The discovery of duality came through noting the many contradictions in it and how “abrogation” was the way around it. In other words, the later verses supersede the earlier verses, but since both are from Allah, both are sacred and true which is the foundation of dualism.
Warner gives an example in; (Koran of Mecca) 73:10: Listen to what they [unbelievers] say with patience, and leave them with dignity. From tolerance we move to the ultimate intolerance, not even the Lord of the Universe can stand the unbelievers: (Koran of Medina) 8:12: Then your Lord spoke to His angels and said, “I will be with you. Give strength to the believers. I will send terror into the unbelievers’ hearts, cut off their heads and even the tips of their fingers!”
This explains the incapability of understanding as westerners see it. Where we see things through a "law of contradiction," Islamic logic is dualistic; two things can contradict each other and both are true.
You have got to read the whole article, as it even covers how muslims CAN give the explanation of "jihad" being an inner struggle, while at the same time being a method of war. And why Islam really is incompatible with western ideals, as submission is the only future Islam foresees for "unbelievers."

Mr. Carter Goes To HAMAS: Talk About Ineptitude
It's got to be the old age thing. Perhaps not enough Omega-3 in the diet or whatever. But senility appears to have taken full hold of ex-President Jimmy Carter. How else does one explain going from winning a Nobel to embracing terrorists?
Wait. This is the norm for Carter. Nevermind. Perhaps I was having a senior moment for forgetting this is the kind of thing we've come to expect from him. Eh, maybe he'll get lucky and be provided the opportunity to enjoy the same luxuries the hostages in the Iran takeover enjoyed for about 444 days.
Or has the world already forgotten that as easily as they seem to be forgetting what 19 terrorists did on 9/11? I don't suppose there's too many whole recall an incedent involving a boat named the U.S.S. COLE? Or a meager building in Beirut?
HAMAS is a TERRORIST Organization Jimmy. And now you want to take a trip to Damascus to have a pleasant little chat with them? That's just great. Wait, this is par for the course too as he seems to have a history of "supporting Palestinian extremism for many years," as mentioned by Steve Emerson, director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism
Apparently this is the case as Carter is planning to take a trip to Syria to meet with the exiled head of Hamas, Khaled Meshal in mid-April. Carter says he's having the meeting as the head of the Carter Center, and not in the capacity of a Former President. Which is really a load of B.S. when you think of it. Once a President, anything done is as a former President.
With Carter agreeing to a visit with a terrorist leader like this, it only serves to further undermine sanctions against such a group. Essentially, lending credibility to it that it hadn't had before. Much in the same way Pelosi did by paying a visit to Assad of Syria did a short while back.
Way to go Jimmy. What else would you like to screw up while your over there? How about a nice sight-seeing visit to Tehran while your at it? Get a look at all those "gays" (that supposedly doesn't exist in Iran) being strung up by boom cranes while your there?
The ineptitude runs deep doesn't it.

Safe Homes Initiative: Over Our Dead Bodies!
About a week ago I tapped out an article about a serious violation of rights being pursued by the D.C. Mayor and the cities police department. You can Read About it HERE. Apparently, "the masses" aren't as gullible or naive as the mayor had hoped, as public outcry over the initiative has all but stopped in its tracks.
The Safe Homes Initiative, in its original form, would essentially allow D.C. Police officers to show up at any ones door whenever, hand them a sheet of paper for them to sign granting them access to search your home. And then gut the home looking for any firearms or firearm paraphernalia, of which they would remove and either try to indict you for crimes, or destroy the stuff.
They apparently don't like the 2nd Amendment much in D.C.
Well, looks like the people have spoken, and loudly at that. Not only has the starting date for the initiative been pushed back clear until mid-June, but now it has been re-vamped to the point that a person has to actually call the Police themselves to come to their house to search for weapons.
And some involved parties, namely the chief Cathy L. Lanier, are doing some serious backpedaling to save some face in this. She had stated, "I should have realized that the program needed to go out with a whole lot more information, I should have put it out with very clear facts."
Hate to break it to you chief, but it was pretty clear as it was. You wanted the freedom to go anywhere you wanted to rid the populace of firearms in the D.C. areas. Am I wrong? I doubt that I am.
There's some more info on the Washintonpost.com site.
Whilst a minor step in the right direction, the assault on peoples 2nd Amendment rights should be eliminated, period. But we take what we can get these days in the mass onslaught of certain groups calling for more taxes, less rights, etc. Especially in D.C. which STILL has the highest violent crime rate in the country. Even with their 30 year long ban on firearms.
Go Figure.

1389 Blog Is Hosting "FITNA" By Geert Wilders
Fitna has been dropped by pretty much every major hosting site out there, including LiveLeaks. But the 1389 Blog is still carrying it! So if you weren't provided the opportunity to view the film prior to everyone else pulling it in a "fleeing for the hills" panic, you can still find it there.
The link can be found HERE.
Here is the text link for it;
http://1389blog.com/2008/03/30/geert-wilders-floods-1389-blog/
Just a few articles back, I had a semi-respectful dialogue with an individual via the "comments" section on shoutwire regarding islam. I know he was giving wrong info. Whether he was doing it intentionally or not, who knows? But I maintained cordiality for the sake of the discussion.
But pretty much everything he said, contrasted 100% of what I know to be true from actually having lived in the middle east regions for a spell. A considerable amount of which, was echoed in the movie.
The West, or "great satan" or what ever you wish to title America and the others, are not well thought of by a considerable percentage of the muslim world..... period. And unfortunately, the few well meaning muslims, that haven't bought into all the martyrdom crap being spewed forth by imams world-wide, will be caught up in all of this.
My condolences to those few who are actually striving to live peacefully amongst the rest of the world. It's gonna be a tough life for you.
Call the short movie "Fitna" hate speech, call it disrespectful, even try to call it a bunch of lies if you will. I.... know.... differently. But the film, regardless of what some/many will think of it, is out there now. And people ARE seeing it.
So the (politically correct / inclusive / tolerant / diverse) world will just have to "suck it up."
Cheers to the 1389 Blog Team for having the courage to continue hosting the video while others fled. The Cultural Jihad hasn't overwhelmed them yet!

Libel Terrorism Protection Act S.6687/A.9652 Passes
Not only is this good news for journalists and authors alike on the issue of First Amendment rights. But this will ultimately be extremely good news to bloggers as well in the future as internet activity is flourishing.
This past Monday, (March 31st,) in Albany,N.Y., the New York Legislature unanimously passed the Libel Terrorism Protection Act. Also known as S. 6687/A. 9652, the LTPA bill once signed into law by Governor David Paterson, will defend the free speech rights of those who seek to expose those extremists, and those that fund them from lawsuits filed overseas.
The bill was spawned in response to an appalling decision by New York's highest court that they would not defend the free speech rights from law suits filed in overseas courts. It started when author, Dr. Ehrenfeld was sued by Saudi billionaire Khalid Salim Bin Mahfouz in an English court. "She was ordered to pay $225,000 in damages and legal fees to Bin Mahfouz, as well as apologize and destroy existing copies of her books."
So much for free speech rights overseas, eh?
Essentially, what the Libel Terrorism Protection Act does is, as listed on the ACTforAmerica site, "make overseas defamation judgments unenforceable in New York unless the foreign defamation law provides, in substance and application, the same free speech protections guaranteed under our own constitution, and it gives New York residents and publishers the opportunity to have their day in court here in New York."
This is a good thing, as it will allow the continued FREE SPEECH reporting of extremism to continue.

The Howdy Doody Show, HAMAS TV Is Not
I guess the "extremist fringe fanatics" that are giving islam a bad name, have enough money to produce multiple children's T.V. shows these days. First we had the Mickey Mouse clone Farfur inciting kids to fight Israel in the name of islam. Shocked?
Farfur's show appearances ended when he was gunned down by an actor portraying an Israeli Security agent. Farfur the mouse was then followed up by Nahoul the martyr bee. I suspect you can imagine how that turned out. Then came Assud the Dane/Israeli-eating rabbit. "Shhhh. Be vewy vewy quiet. I'm hunting wabbits."
Now we get more "Martyr-vision" style T.V. for kids from HAMAS on al-Aqsa. This time, we get a puppet show of a Palestinian kid taking revenge, wielding the "Sword of ISLAM," and assassinating President Bush for backing Israel. Apparently, repentance isn't acceptable in the show either as pleas for mercy and repentance are ignored. Go figure.
The Bush puppet apparently wasn't pure enough to invite the kid to the White House either, as it was being converted into a mosque. Perhaps he should have stopped by a foot-washing station first.
HELLO!!! Is any one else seeing the mere humanitarian aspect of this besides me? I hear an awful lot of complaints about "brain washing" of kids over Sunday school classes and the like. Why am I not hearing the same crowds making an issue over instilling pure hatred in kids in this manner? There was an awful stink made over Don Imus making a remark, which DIDN'T include violence. And he was fired for it.
Why can't we get some results for promoting hate WITH/THROUGH violence?
Anyways, here's the video.

Bad Culture And Bad Government: Newt Gingrich
I just found an article on Human Events by Newt Gingrich that is worthy of those on both sides of the fence to peruse. Neither side, Dem's or Rep's escape the blame here. It focuses on How a movement of Bad Culture has resulted in Bad Government, and how we are seeing it's effects these days.
Newt brings up Sen. Obama's Philadelphia speech. While I personally held little regard for it, as it was a "too little, too late," for me to accept it whole heartedly, Mr. Gingrich brings up a point. He mentions that it was wrong for Obama to focus on racism in the speech, but it does open the door for dialogue to correct the woes we suffer from today.
It's said by Mr. Gingrich in the article, "But since the Left -- with its academic, Hollywood, trial lawyer, bureaucracy, and union factions -- is the cause of much of the bad culture and most of the bad government, it can hardly be expected to voluntarily start a dialogue about repudiating its own cultural values and reforming its own bureaucratic allies. Sadly, however, the Right has been too shallow and too focused on raising money and developing clever tactics to engage in the level of fundamental conversation America needs."
Newt also brings up the Founding Fathers and their foresight at how the people would eventually drift as a society. "They knew that bad culture leads to bad government -- and good government requires good culture." One of the quotes he lists;
"...there is no truth more thoroughly established, than that there exists in the economy and course of nature, an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness; between duty and advantage; between the genuine maxims of an honest and magnanimous policy, and the solid rewards of public prosperity and felicity; since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained..." -- President George Washington's First Inaugural Address
The article continues with sections on the wrong of the 60's, Americans being ready to deal with the problems, and even brings up some of the results like a 13 yr. old being arrested as a Madame in Texas.
I would hope that many people take the couple minutes to review the article in full, regardless of where you stand and ponder what needs to be done to correct America's problems. The opportunity for dialogue exists, the question is, who is ready to discuss the issues?

It's None Of Your Business: Chelsea Has Spoken... Again.
Far be it from me to be able to determine between when a personal question is being asked, and a campaign relevant question is being asked. Apparently, Chelsea still can't tell the difference either. Now, for a second time a question of whether the "Lewinsky" incident may be tarnishing Hillary's chances at the Presidency has been asked.
And once again, Chelsea has replied with a, "It's none of your business," angle. At least this time she attempted (albeit badly) to somewhat sugarcoat it. Spinning it into a "I'm sure there's private things about your family that you wouldn't want asked," when she addressed the questioner.
Fortunately, the questioner was later able to make a statement regarding his reasoning of the question. The student, posed his query to Chelsea because in his opinion, Bill Clinton as President is supposed to be the #1 Citizen in America. An understandable train of thought.
And if Billy boy is off romping around with an intern while Hillary is in the other room, what does that say about someone wishing to become the President? How much other stuff (going on behind her back) is she going to miss?
The answer is simple Chelsea, either way you wish to go with it. You can either say, "Yes, perhaps the incident with Lewinsky has shed some unpopular light on my mom, but it's old news. And we have moved past it." Sound simple enough? You should be able to at least come up with something this plain as a University grad Chelsea.
Or she could go the other way. "No, I don't see Lewinsky as being a factor at all in my Mom's campaign. Simply put, it wasn't my mom involved with her, it was my Dad. And he isn't running for President, so where's the problem?" Hey, how about that? Two simple, easy to understand responses to sate the masses. And this coming from a dimwitted Marine.
But do not Chelsea, under any circumstances, try to tell the American populace, an event that affected the entire nation, is in your opinion, "It's none of your business."
