UPDATE: 1-2-2008; For those who may be wondering, yes you are correct, I haven't written anything new for a few days. I have been pondering, and decided to go through with, going on a writting sabatical for a few months. With all the political mess we are in now, and all the crap we've been put through over the last year and a half, I need the rest, just as America needs a rest from liberals. Cultural Chaos In Colorado: Ritter Signs S.B. 200

I knew this was going to eventually happen. But no one believes an obviously "bigoted" Conservative. Nope. Can't believe him. But now it has happened. Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter has gone ahead and signed S.B. 200. And thanks to a little clause at the end, there's apparently no recourse.

Some crap about being enacted in the cause of emergency.

Right,.......

But I'm betting that NAMBLA, GLAAD, GLESN, and all those other obscene organizations are about to enjoy a veritable feast of kiddie flesh, courtesy of the "bought and paid for" Colorado Legislation. I suppose millionaire gay activist Tim Gill and the rest of his radical friends are about to be bombarded with thank you cards from these groups. Why? Because it was their money (through mass campaign contributions) that bought this decision.

And it's not likely that the Colorado Supreme Courts will do anything about it as they have a pretty "liberal" reputation as well.

So, now, NO PUBLIC DOMAIN can refuse a male from using a females restroom. Or vise versa, (not that many women will be strolling into the guys room.) This includes shopping centers, movie theaters, fitness centers, EDUCATIONAL facilities, you name it. About the only ones who are, for now, directly escaping the chaos, are churches, mosques, synagogues and the like. Locations that are defined as specifically being used for worship.

But that's only temporary as it will eventually extend to them in the future.

So, I hope you fathers out there have your chastity belts ready for your daughters. I'd hate to think of how many pedo-janitors that have already slipped through the cracks, are now free to stroll in on their (pre)teen daughters while they're in the restroom. Are we going to have to start sending kids to the restrooms in groups now, just for safeties sake?

I'm wondering though, just how many grown WOMEN are going to tolerate this crap? How long until something does happen, (and it will,) before women start saying in mass, "Hell No!"

I guess time will tell. And that shouldn't take too long.

Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less: American Solutions

Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less. A phrase that seems to slowly be gaining some notoriety. Especially amongst Americans that have finally had enough of being held captive by overseas oil. And a slogan found predominantly on the American Solutions website. But oil isn't the only thing they delve into there.

It just happens to be at the forefront of today's topic, our enslavement to foreign oil.

I'm not the only one who's been saying we need to put to use, the resources we have available here at home. The caribou will simply have to cope for a while. But environmentalists and entities in the government, (and in some respects, BOTH sides of the aisle here are guilty,) would rather maintain the gravy trains they have established via overseas oil.

And that does nothing to ease the daily "pain at the pump" we as citizens and consumers feel.

The American Solutions website has a little bit to say about this. They list that about 73%, almost 3/4 of Americans favor drilling our own areas, as long as it's done with appropriate safeguards. Sounds fine by me. Like I said, the caribou will need to cope. And they are circulating a petition, aiming for a mere pittance of 100k signers to present, calling for deregulation of our primary untapped zones. Namely, Offshore and some ANWAR.

But why drill here? Why not just continue to lambaste the Evil Big Oil's for our suffering. Well, probably because they aren't to blame. Those who are to blame, are the very ones on the committees grilling them about why they made "record profits." Government has been, and always will be the primary problem. Of that $4.00 average per gallon America is close to paying today, most of that is... wait for it.... TAXES!

Go figure.

The sad fact of this overall picture we face today is this. Alternative energies, like nuclear and solar, WILL BE the energy source of the future. But it takes a while to build and get up to speed a Nuclear power plant. On this, the Japanese and French are owning us by decades. And technologies are improving, but are still well below the standards necessary to power entire cities via solar power. The best "guess-timates" are 10 years until solar has reached a point that it can truly be considered a viable source of energy. It's fine for individual homes for the most part. But how many people do you know that can just run out and buy $70k+ of solar panels and equipment? I for one can't.

But what about bio-fuels? Well, what about them? Other than driving food prices through the roof. Not to mention causing a severe spike in international starvation and food rioting in about 40 different countries. Bio-fuels cost on the whole, more to produce than they are worth. And don't forget, the process to make it is several times more "Earth-unfriendly" than fossil fuel refining.

Making use of our own resources, as newer and better technologies come of age, is the most realistic option America has. Not only would this be an actual reprieve from the gas-squeeze we now live with, (which tapping into our reserves more or less exactly fails to do,) But it would be a more immediate decline in our dependence on oil from countries that hate us enough as it is.

Do we really want to keep filling the coffers of Hugo and the rest of the OPEC Brady bunch? I thought not.

But take this all with a grain of salt, and hop over to the American Solutions website. You may actually find you agree more with what they have presented than you might originally have thought. And even if you don't, consider signing the petition anyways, as it's a message being sent to our intrepid leaders, that something must be done. That is, beyond the inane and senseless show trials.

Celeb's: If You Don't Like America, GTFO!

Yeah, I know. Sounds kinda harsh in the onset. But It's becoming more apparent that celebs need to start "walking the walk" of their overtly my way or the highway rants. Unfortunately, the public at large still manages to give them a pass when they open the holes under their noses.

Over the years, mostly during major political seasons like we are in now, celeb's start lambasting about how terrible "X" politician is, and they will "leave the country" if they are elected/re-elected. We saw a bit of this during the last couple Bush elections.

One prominent idiot that comes to mind was Alec Baldwin. Oh boy did we ever suffer the inane daily vile of this guy. One would have thought the world was going to end if Bush was elected. And that the only safe harbor in existence was "outside" of the USA. Great! Fine! Guess what? Bush was elected. Now Get-The-F%%K-Out of my country like you said you would. What's that? You were only kidding? You didn't really say that? I guess America isn't that bad after all then, eh? Worried you won't have all the freedoms elsewhere that you have here?

Go figure...

But now we have generations of incompetence, spawned by their forerunners. Celebs that believe Gore was cheated out of the White House because of "uncounted" votes in Florida. Laura Dern comes to mind at the moment along with Rosie O'Douche-bag. Whilst Rosie is only indoctrinating her adopted kids with this B.S., (brainwashing should count as child abuse,) Laura Dern feels it better to hop into a history-being-rewritten film with Kevin Spacey about the vote-fiasco.

Dern said she was "disillusioned" with the process when the courts "gave" the win to Bush. WTF is that about Laura? Hate to break it to ya, but the MEDIA even did the recounts according to Gore's standards, and Bush STILL won. And by an even wider margin when they did it.

Oops, didn't know that did ya Laura?

Let's not ignore the ones that decide a commencement podium is a fantastic place to lambaste the country. We have celebs that actually believe this. Jessica Lange believes it better to dampen the future hopes of our graduating youth with incessant diatribe, rather than the hope that exists, via spirit-lifting ovations. And at your own daughters graduation you do this? Way to go Lange.

Lastly, let us not forget the "I'm a pathetic excuse for a human, so I'll attempt to portray an international diplomat," celebs. Yes, I'm talking to you Sean Penn. Oh, but he's considered "a thinker," not just an actor. Well, if he likes Hugo and the rest of the dictator crowd so much, maybe he should become roomies with them. Then you can spin all the I Hate America you want, provided it's state propaganda approved.

In the end, you'd think that a batch of almost humans of such superior abilities, (if acting actually fits in an ability bracket,) would have the knowledge and know-how to create their own little group. Make their press releases voicing their concerns about policy, and so on. And NOT make themselves look like the fools they are. If they can generate an entire awards show (SAG Awards) where they give each other awards, they should have no problems performing such a task as simple as this?

Stop being part of the problem, and start being part of the solution. Or more simply put, GTFO!

Gay Marriage: A BOON For The Economy?

Well, there are now currently two states that welcome same sex marriages. One of them being California at least for the moment, as a stay is being requested until the upcoming elections. Although California Governor Schwarzenegger doesn't directly/openly support gay marriage for the most part, he seems to hope the recent ruling will bring growth to the state.

That's funny, and here I thought removing the 10 million+ illegals in California alone, would be a better thing for the economy.

Go figure.

The Gover-nator's spokesman Aaron McLear asserted that the Governor's remark was meant as a lighthearted joke. In sort of a "tongue-in-cheek" manner. Okay, I can give him that one. But with the $5 billion+ that the state is in need of repaying to it's citizens, it's unfortunate that gay marriage is being counted on to help with that.

Especially since it's possible that the marriages may only be a temporary thing. Since due to be included in the upcoming elections in California, is a state constitutional amendment to have traditional marriage made the norm here. As per attorney Andrew Pugno, who is representing the amendment initiative backers, the invitation to come to California to get married only to possibly have it revoked sends a confusing message.

And with over 1.2 million signers on that petition, it's pretty likely although not guaranteed to pass. Here's the page about it; http://protectmarriage.com/

On this initiative, Schwarzenegger is showing his support of gay marriage as he does oppose the amendment. Schwarzenegger was quoted as having said, "he personally defines marriage as between a man and a woman but that he does not 'want to force that opinion on anyone.'"

How do you do that? "I oppose your amendment, but I support what it stands for?" That makes sense. Let's not send any more confusing messages there Arnold. M'kay?

But hey, this is California....

There's some more HERE.

Hey Big Oil; Here Are Some More Inane Hearings For You

Because we want to continue to hammer the public with trying to make you look like the bad guys in this mess. Because we don't want anyone to know that it is really us in the House and Senate that are screwing the pants off of the public in this gas-fiasco. We'd rather you took the blame so we can continue to feed our insatiable tax-and-spend habits.

We know that diverting oil from the National Reserve isn't going to do crap for the cost of fuel beyond a few cents a gallon. But we want people to "feeeeeel" good, so they will continue to vote for us.

We in the House and Senate feel you would be best to take the brunt of public ire on account of your record profits (that you rightfully managed to earn on a meager 10% profit margin.) But we won't be mentioning to anyone that we regularly vote OURSELVES massive raises without the publics approval. Speaking of which, we would never get a raise in our current status of having a lower public approval rating than the President has. I guess our "100 Hours" crap isn't fooling the public anymore.

So you are nominated as our next "weapon of mass distraction!"

We also believe that it's in every one's (but yours) best interest if you take the fall for the fuel costs. We don't want people to start digging into how much TAX we've added over the years to the cost of fuel. Tax revenue that's "supposed" to help maintain our roadways and other infrastructure, (like collapsing bridges) but usually ends up in our own pockets, one way or another. Nor do we want anyone to think about the amount of tax we take out of their paychecks (in my case, about 1/3 of my pay goes to taxes,) which only adds to the burden.

And we really want you guys to get the axe, so to speak, because if we had to open up ANWAR and offshore areas to drilling, we'd loose all our backdoor buddy money that we cherish from our enviro-lobbyist cadre. Now you wouldn't really want that to happen to us would you? Nor do we want anyone to realize that the taxpayers "foot the bill" every time we have one of these showboat trials.

So just sit there and pretend to cower under our non-existent might of senseless hearings that will amount to gaining no new knowledge beyond what everyone already knows. That we get 90% of our oil from overseas because we won't drill in our own backyard. That China and India are adding about 1 million cars a months to their roadways due to their now burgeoning economies. And that other countries are willing to pay higher prices for the oil.

Way to go $8.00 per gallon prices in most of Europe. We'll be there soon too.

By the way Senator Leahy. If you want to respond to your constituents about why they can't get to work because they can't afford the gas, don't mention any of the points I mentioned here. It may not be a pretty episode for you.

Bill Cosby E-mail: It's About Behavior Not Color

Here's one of those e-mails that get circulated around that people like me love to see. I like Bill Cosby. And it's really disgusting to see that he takes so much heat from the black populace for saying what should have been done/said in the first place.

HERE, is the Snopes.com link for it. The e-mail is as follows;

They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk:

Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers? For what? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics. I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.

Where were you when he was 2??
Where were you when he was 12??
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol??

And where is the father?? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something? Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body? What part of Africa did this come from?? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa. With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' or men or whatever you call them now. We have millionaire football players who cannot read. We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.

We have to start holding each other to a higher standard. We cannot blame the white people any longer.
It's NOT about color... It's about behavior!!!

Well said Mr. Cosby. Well said. Now if people would just honestly listen.

Ted Kennedy And Cancer

It's fitting that today I write about this subject, as this same day six years ago, I lost a close family member to cancer. And as it's highly probable that most people already know the basic details regarding Ted Kennedy, I'll just skip to the recent news and some other points.

As of just a couple hours ago, Ted Kennedy was released from the hospital and walked under his own power to the awaiting Suburban. He did a bit of waving and smiling at well-wishers along the trek. "Teddy," as he's often referred to, will be resting up in his Cape Cod home. Doctors meanwhile, will continue to run tests to determine the best course of treatment to deal with the malignant glioma he's developed.

Myself being a Conservative Republican, (as if you wouldn't know already by reading just about any article I've written to date,) consider Mr. Kennedy to be the bane of what makes America a great country. So, many will find this almost impossible to believe that I'm saying it. But I truly wish him the best, and hope he makes a full recovery.

Shocking I know, to say the least.

As much as I would like to see his seat vacated, and an at least middling Republican take his spot, I DO NOT wish that possibility to happen via a death bed proclamation. As I mentioned above, I lost a close family member to cancer. She fought it for over six years, and seemed to be winning for the most part. That's when the "Hope Rug" usually gets yanked out from under your feet. And I had to watch her pass on.

I don't wish this kind of fate on anyone. Not even someone I despise as much as Ted Kennedy.

Despite his legislation that made me want to gouge out my eyeballs, like that winner of a Matthew Sheppard law, I pray he recovers. Regardless of his pushing for mass amnesty of the millions of illegal aliens violating our sovereignty just by being here, I'll risk saying, I hope he is able to beat this illness.

At first, when it was reported that he had dropped from "seizures," many I know, myself included, joked that perhaps his hourly Krispy-Kremes delivery was running late and he went into sugar shock. It isn't as funny once you learn the rest of the story.

I truly feel for his family, and my prayers go out to him and them, that all works out for the best.

Attrition Through Enforcement: Seems To Be Working

Well the results are starting to come in Arizona. And they numbers are not looking to be in favor of pro-illegal immigration groups. It's literally beginning to look like the dissenters of the anti-illegal laws just may end up with the "egg on their face" in the end. Simply put, illegals are fleeing Arizona.

Just a short while back, the Arizona populace decided they had had enough with their skyrocketing budget problems brought on by the extra costs of illegal immigration. And they decided to do something about it. Their Democrat Governor, Janet Napolitano has seen fit to veto pretty much anything that came across her desk that frowned upon illegal immigration. So the populace went around her and got it on the ballot anyways.

The result? 70%+ of Arizona voted in favor of tightening AND enforcing illegal immigration laws. This essentially became the "Attrition through Enforcement" ideal that many across the nation who are against illegal immigration actually want. Yeah, it's true. Most in America DON'T want the "round'em up and move'em out" that is usually one of the only two options provided in "the polls." The other being a "let them all stay," which really isn't an option at all. When given the third choice of "making life difficult causing them to leave voluntarily," a significant portion of the country opts for that.

The sad part is, I live in California. Which is exactly where many of these illegals flock to. "Sanctuary cities," like San Fran and LA are an illegals goldmine. And it's estimated that 1 out of 10 illegals departing Arizona is a felon. So way to go there Mr. (ex-gangmember turned ACLU defense lawyer who flunked the BAR exam four times before finally passing, just to defend gangmembers in court against the LAPD) Villaraigosa. Just be Mr. Open-Arms to more crime. As if LA didn't have enough of a crime problem already.

The effects of the Attrition laws can be seen throughout the state. Their unemployment rate has dropped about 0.4% in a matter of only a few months. Commute times which were apparently becoming a problem there in Arizona, have begun to dwindle. Cities sanitation problems, with litter being strewn about has receded as the crowds of day-laborers are no longer loitering about the Home Depot lots. This has also begun to have a marginal effect on the surrounding desert regions. Social programs are no longer dolling out the amounts of welfare and the like they once were, saving the state money.

And lastly, no one even showed up at the beginning of the month for the recent "march for illegals" rally.

Does your state have a budget problem? The $2 billion deficit that Arizona WAS facing, is likely to balance itself out shortly with the amount of funding being spared. Perhaps other states might want to follow suit.

California Approves Gay Marriage: Not Surprising Really

Well, it's happened. Gay marriage is now pretty much official in California. But we really shouldn't be surprised with what happens in a state that voted to legalize pot. Less surprising is that the Court that declared California's "only one man, one woman," recognition of marriage unconstitutional, was in San Francisco.

Shocked I know. Go figure.

So now, according to the California Supreme Court, what the majority of the populace in the state wanted, is now officially declared unconstitutional. I say majority, (which is indisputable,) since in 2000, about 62% of the state voted in favor of a DOMA (defense of marriage act) describing a recognizable marriage as being between one man and one woman.

I guess what the masses want, the masses DON'T get. The squeaky wheel it seems, has gotten its grease. Or should I say, gotten its K-Y jelly/Astro-glide? Whichever they prefer these days.

It wasn't a total blowout though, which was the suprise to me. The descision as it turns out was 4-3 in favor. Those Justices (if you really want to call them that) in favor of were, Chief Justice Ron George and Justices Joyce Kennard, Kathryn Werdegar and Carlos Moreno. Those opposed, which I might add deserve a thank you for not just "caving-in" were, Justices Marvin Baxter, Ming Chin and Carol Corrigan.

So now will be the endless back and forth for those like me who are still archaic enough to believe in traditional marriage. As we trudge forward and try to have it engraved in the State's Constitution that marriage belongs between one man and one woman only. Odds are, we won't succeed at it. But for now, the state of California is still part of 'the land of the free.' At least, until Hillary or Obama get in office, in which case, it will become the U.S.S.A.

I suppose within a few years, we will probably be hearing how unconstitutional it will be to deny a man from marrying multiple wives? Or a woman from marrying her 9 yr old student?

I bet the LDS and NAMBLA are just creaming thier jeans now.

Heck, let's just push the envelope a bit and add a few farm animals in there. Why not? Even the Cannes film festival cheered on a shock-u-mentary about the "love" between a man and a supposedly consenting horse. By the way, the horse won.

I wonder just how much more of this "tolerance & diversity" crap we will be expected to put up with.

There's a little more available on this on YahooAP news.

Safe Deposit Box Thefts; By BIG Government

Wow! Just wow! I knew that big government always equalled BAD government. But California it appears ranks number one in thievery from it's own citizenry. It has sung a tune of about $5.1 BILLION dollars worth of "unclaimed" property that it has partaken of.

This is the kind of reporting about government people need to see from our "fair & balanced" media. Not the annoyingly repetitive, roboticly overused same 'ol song and dance line of "Bush Bad, America Bad." And not too amazingly, it comes from one of the only news outlets aside from FOX, that I still have the slightest bit of liking for. Albeit, they still all have a slant that I disfavor.

ABC News recently reported that State governments have been claiming supposedly "unclaimed" property, and depending on its type, using the revenue for its own means. At one time a couple decades ago, the time span for property to be deemed "unclaimed" was about 15 years. And at the 15 year mark, the states still had to diligently attempt to contact the owners of said property.

Over the years, that time frame has drastically shrunk from 15 years, to seven, to five, and currently holding in at three years. Supposedly, this was due to times of "budget crisis's" of one form or another. More accurately though, it was a steady stream of free money that the state wanted. It should also be mentioned that it's come to the point were California hasn't even been bothering to try and contact the rightful owners.

As found in the ABC article, California State Controller John Chiang, who inherited the situation when he came into office said, "What we've done here over the last two decades has been dead wrong. We've kept the property and not provided owners with the opportunities -- the best opportunities -- to get their property back." And now he apparently has the duty of trying to repay all those, well technically speaking, "THEFTS."

But you've got to read the article over at ABC's page. There's a whole lot more that's been looted and squandered beyond safety deposit boxes.

By the way, that $5.1 Billion payback.... does that include interest?

Rev. Wright's Tuskegee Error: Real History Says Otherwise

This was an interesting article I found on Townhall.com, regarding the misinformation about Tuskegee. The Tuskegee that Rev. Wright alluded to in his, “Based on this Tuskegee experiment ... I believe our government is capable of doing anything,” comment. That was his response to being asked if he truly believed the Government created AIDS to kill blacks.

The article was written by Jonah Goldberg and titled, "Tall Tales About Tuskegee ." And after actually digging into some history myself on this topic, it appears Wright, was WRONG. Pardon the pun. Yes, Tuskegee it turns out, was a despicable act. It denied the humanity of a group of people. It was misleading, as they were told they were being treated, but were merely being studied. I can fully comprehend why blacks have a sincere distrust towards our government because of it.

But they should dislike, hate, whatever, for the historically correct reasons. Not because of the concoctions of a racist preacher.

If you ask blacks in America today, if they believe the government did invent AIDS as a form of genocide against them, believe it or not, upwards of a third of them will say YES. As those that believe that, will also believe the inaccurate version of Tuskegee. So here's the short version of what happened way back when;

Public Health researchers back in 1932 wanted to study syphilis. Since black males seemed more prone to it than white males, they chose them for the study. Almost 400 black males who were ALREADY infected and in the tertiary-stage of the disease were selected, as they were no longer contagious. Keep in mind the year 1932, as this was PRIOR TO the advent and availability of penicillin.

So they studied these guys for about 40 years. And when standardized penicillin treatments did become available in the 40's to 50's, the researchers weren't sure it would have helped anyways. In fact, some believed it may cause the subjects of the study further harm or possibly even death trying to treat the decades long infection.

There is no doubt of, but much debate over, how much racism may have been involved. But it remains undisputed by scholars that genocide was not a factor. Nor was the desire to infect the population of blacks as a whole.

There's a lot more detail in Goldberg's article, which I recommend you read to catch up on the, "Wrong of Wright."

High Gas Prices: SO WHAT!

So, is someone holding a gun to your families head threatening to shoot if you don't drive that Cadillac Escalade? No? Perhaps your pet's have been kidnapped, never to return unless you drive that 8-cylinder Mustang GT. No again? The you don't have reason to whine. But much reason to learn about economies.

Apparently, it's a topic the major media outlets skipped in journalism school. Instead, they opted for electives like "Reality Shows 101." This being since all we hear anymore is a few seconds of how terrible gas prices are these days. The remainder of the newscast is nothing but who got the boot from Dancing with the Stars or American Idol.

Go figure.

So here is some general info to put some things into perspective for those who "missed" how prices work. And hopefully, will effectively turn the "whiny factor" off for many of them.

Grocery Stores. Many people visit them and some, remarkably enough have noticed that prices have climbed a bit over the last couple years. Namely, in areas like bread, corn, rice, sugar as well as a few other staple-foods. Much of this is directly attributed to the false sense of hope that "biofuels" will become the next best thing. Whilst all it really does is aide in the starvation factor being felt in much of the third world.

But are you aware of the fact that Grocery Stores operate on approximately a 30-35% profit margin? That amount varies of course by location, as well as the department (i.e., produce, meats/seafood, canned goods, etc.) within the store itself. It averages out to the low to mid thirty percent bracket generally. That's a fairly hefty bit of a profit there. Are we demanding that Congress now hold "hearings" about the amount of money grocery stores have been making off the American public?

No.

Now compare that, with the $11 Billion record profits that Big Oil companies made last year. Which by the way is the only other thing we get to hear on the news besides gas prices and Dancing Idols. Oh no! How dare Big Oil make a profit! That's unheard of in a functioning Capitalist Economy. Hearings about this we have heard of. Several times now in fact.

Kinda makes me wonder why anyone would even bother starting, or continuing to run a business these days if all anyone is going to do is try to cause you to make NO money at it. But these are evil Big Oil companies we're talking about. Companies that made "Record Profits." Yeah, profits they EARNED, working on only a 10-11% profit margin! Yeah, that's all they make. Especially when you consider all they have to SPEND in order to make that.

Oops, it sounds like the whiners didn't take that into account before they started howling. Must have missed that part since they were probably busy ordering their half cafe-decaf-mocha-latte-triple shot-essprese-ccinos.

Something else for the "my panties are in a bunch over fuel costs" crowd might need to know is that other countries are WILLING to pay the higher prices for the oil. India and China come to mind as large populated countries with burgeoning middle classes. People who never owned a car, can now afford them, requiring a skyrocketing need for fuel in those countries. You can thank outsourcing for that. They pay it, so can you.

Let us not forget the enviro-tards that have been denying for decades the offshore shelves and ANWAR to the evil Big Oilists. The endangered Arctic Butt-Fly colonies and Luffa migrations apparently take precedence to National needs, which isn't helping our situation any in reducing our dependence on foreign oil.

So work towards changing things like opening up new areas for drilling, or Get Over It!

Yeah, it really is that simple.

Myanmar: Is A U.N. Invasion Possible?

Is this now a realistic possibility brewing over Myanmar? Based on the possibility of undergoing an almost self-imposed Genocide under the Junta? With tens of thousands already dead, and many more deaths predicted, could we possibly see the international community demand the U.N. act through a forced incursion for humanitarian sake?

I DO believe this can become a reality, though a hard fought reality. I have little faith in anything positive emerging from the U.N. But on a disaster of this magnitude, it just may be possible.

In my previous article I mentioned some comments made by Mrs. Bush during her press conference on the situation in Myanmar. While announcing the aide made available, she had scolded the Junta for being inept. But also for failing to warn the populace of the impending storm. She had also derided them over continuing to push forward with their sham of a constitutional referendum despite the disaster that had struck.

From the way things are being played out there in Myanmar, I don't believe the two are a coincidence. It looks to me as if the failure to warn the people could have been intentional. The Junta are extremely paranoid, and suspicious of the outside world. Coupled with their fear of a nation-wide uprising, I could see why they would withhold warnings. More dead means a smaller possibility of an uprising by the populace. And with such devastation at hand, even less people available to challenge their so-called "referendum."

Sound far fetched? Let's now add to the mix, that the Junta has begun seizing the humanitarian aide that has made it into the country. Tony Branbury of the World Food Program has said that, "there's enough food sitting on the tarmac there in Myanmar to feed 95,000 people for a couple days. It's going nowhere." Furthermore, additional incoming aide is now being denied entry into the country.

The U.N. is already stated that it's outraged over the recent developments there in Myanmar. It has said that this is exactly what it had feared may happen without U.N. aide disaster teams being allowed to accompany the shipments.

All of this leads me to believe that eventually, the international community just might begin to demand that the U.N. take some form of action. By force if necessary, simply on the humanitarian basis to prevent a genocidal environment from deteriorating further.

Whilst I was scribbling out my notes at work prepping for this article, I brought this issue up with several co-workers. Mind you I work in a very liberal environment, and even professed Liberals were adamant that action be taken to secure the lives of the populace of Myanmar.

Perhaps this isn't so far-fetched a possibility after all....

Book "What Muslims Really Think": Hammer Drops On Credibility

About ten days ago, I tapped out an article about an upcoming book titled, Who Speaks for Islam: What a Billion Muslims Really Think. Shortly there after, I added a comment regarding an article from jihadwatch.org that cast suspicions on the authors. Apparently, the mis-information runs even deeper.

The authors of the book, Dalia Mogahed and John Esposito (prior to my discovery of the Jihadwatch.org article,) were listed with high regard as to their credentials and associations. After discovery of the article on jihadwatch.org, that quickly went south.

As I mentioned in both my article, and later in my comment, I wasn't going to hold my breathe. But one could "HOPE" that the info was true that most muslims were moderate. Ever the eternal optimist am I,... I suppose.

Now, as found in a The Weekly Standard article by Robert Satloff titled, Just Like Us! Really? the authors did some serious cooking of the books regarding the percentages of "moderate" to "radical" thought lines. Originally, it was cast as only 7% of muslims favored or supported the 9/11 attacks. In actuality, that percentage as Satloff found, is a bit closer to 36% as shown in the article.

When one considers that there approximately 1.3 billion muslims in the world, 7% is no small number. Over 90 million to be more precise. But now, with this new revealed info of upwards of 36% of muslims falling into a category of favoring terroristic ideals, that puts the numbers up over 300 million. Roughly, the entire population of the United States, not including all the uncounted illegal aliens in country. That's a lot of suicide bombers when you think of it.

So, I'll continue to plod along, knowing better about the islamic community than the touchie-feelies want me to. Happily accepting the title of infidel, or islamofascist. And continuing to push for legislation that makes life miserable for those wishing Sharia upon America.

The Governments Housing Bailouts: Why Is This Even Being Considered?

I wasn't particularly thrilled with the idea of bailing out Bear-Stearns. I could partially understand it, but I don't believe it was warranted. And that was a Republican maneuver. So have politics now become a "We must one-up the other's," arena with this push for Housing Bail-outs?

Why is this even an issue eating up taxpayer's money to debate in Congress? When did it even become the governments responsibility to bail-out those who made bad financial choices? It's not an area that the government should push it's nose into. That's the beauty of free enterprise and a self adjusting market. Let the housing issue play itself out. Companies fail, new companies emerge.

The same goes for the housing industry. Home values rise, home values fall. Yes, it really is that simple.

Awww, but all those millions of people who will loose their homes. Don't you even care? Oh, You mean those millions of people who are actually ONLY 0.5% of the housing market that's in trouble? Yeah, I care. It's called TOUGH LOVE. My four words for these folks... "Too Bad, So Sad." If you only make $20k a year salary, you have absolutely NO business taking out a $900k home loan. Sucks to be you if you loose your house. Tried to make a quick buck by buying a house low, just to flip it 6 months later, and now your stuck with it?

Guess what? "Too Bad, So Sad." Sucks to be you when your now filling for bankruptcy. Odds are, the higher percentage of those losing their homes are potentially in this bracket.

Which brings me to another point. I RENT, an apartment. I PAY my monthly rent. Why in the hell should I have to cough up an extra $6,700+ a year (with no closing clause in the bill,) to bail these people, (who can't be bothered read the fine print in their own loan agreements,) out of their mistakes? That's the dollar amount that each American will be looking at in new taxes, should either of the Democrats two Bail-out plans go through.

Fortunately, the President has already stated that he will Veto any bail-out proposals. Well, looks like he can make good decisions after all. Hopefully, he will spend his last few months making equally good choices.

Can't Blame The U.S. This Time: The Junta's At Fault

I'm actually starting to like the First Lady, Laura Bush, more than the President himself over the last few years. Personally, I still don't believe America is fully ready for a female president, but I don't think she would be half bad in the position. The current situation in Myanmar is an example.

At first reports, the death toll was under 5,000 dead but believed may surpass the 10,000 figure. As of current reports, that number has well exceeded 22,000 deaths due to the devastating cyclone dubbed "Nargis" that struck the region. Since very early yesterday, (May 6th,) Mrs. Bush was on the press platform deriding the military government known as the Junta, on several issues.

She noted that the government there is "very inept," and mentioned their poor record of human rights. She pounced the junta for pressing forward with a sham of a constitutional referendum to be held on May 10th, and for refusing to alert the populace of the oncoming storm. Which I doubt is just a coincidence on their part.

How do you think an incident like that would go over here in America? If the National Weather Service just decided to NOT warn coastal Americans that another Katrina was inbound? Wouldn't be a pretty site, would it?

Yet Mrs. Bush, while not specifying how much assistance was available, made it perfectly clear that substantial aide was being offered, and that all the Myanmar government had to do was accept it. Sounds simple enough. As of this writing, the Junta has still denied U.S. Disaster Response Teams entry into Myanmar.

Their failure, not ours.

Mrs. Bush later said, "I'm worried that they won't even accept U.S. aid, and I urge the government to accept aid from the United States and from the entire international community right now while the needs of their people are so critical." The European Union has already pledged $3 million in assistance. But so far, all aide is slow, as the Junta is hampering entry.

So far, there are only eight agencies in-country assisting with what they can, with the resources available. But I'm doubting it will be enough to prevent the larger impending disaster which is the aftermath of such a catastrophic event. Disease, starvation, etc.

But America gets a free pass on this one, as we immediately hoped on the "aide-train," but no one accepted. Oh, I'm sure there will be a batch of Lib-tards out there that will try to blame it on "Bush's failed foreign policy," or some such nonsense. But the fact remains, foreign policy is outweighed by humanitarian need. And much need is needed now in Myanmar.

I wonder how many more thousands will die there before U.S. aide is allowed to assist?

More Soldier Insults: Courtesy Of Stephen King

Ensuring that the liberal torch isn't extinguished by any patriotic folks who really give a crap about our troops is today's topic. Horror author Stephen King tosses a fantastically inane insult at our men and women in uniform, John Kerry style. And we all know what happened to Kerry.

For those who wish to see the video of the aging idiot in action of opening the hole under his nose, HERE is the link. Oh, but remember, he said he didn't want to sound like a commercial or a public service ad, so that's supposed to excuse him, or make things all better. WRONG!

King has been a pretty outspoken opponent of the Iraq war since pretty darn near its inception. Fine! Great! Fantastic! That's his, or anyone in this countries right. Go ahead and be a Cindy Sheehan all you want. But pulling a Kerry-ism and debasing the very individuals who provide you that freedom, (whilst is your right to do,) is just plain out of line. Point your hatred where it belongs, at the leadership, NOT the soldier.

Here is the text of what Mr. King said; "I don't want to sound like an ad, a public service ad on TV, but the fact is if you can read, you can walk into a job later on. If you don't, then you've got, the Army, Iraq, I don't know, something like that. It's, it's not as bright. So, that's my little commercial for that."

It should be made known, that King made this comment during a speech he was giving in the Library of Congress. Yeah, a building full of old documents created by a bunch of old guys a couple centuries ago. Guys that also must have been a bunch of illiterates as well, since a considerable number of them FOUGHT and DIED in a war to give King his so-called rights. By the way, they ALSO volunteered back then.

I've never been an avid fan of King's books, and this episode pretty much assures that I won't ever be. Not that one person's refusal to ever read another book by HIM will make any kind of solid, tangible difference. But hey, if you truly believe in peoples rights, then it's my RIGHT to refuse to read his crap anymore. Right?

Green Peace Green Lights Nukes: Well Sort Of

When one considers that Green Peace was originally created to oppose underground nuclear testing, it actually comes as a shock that the founder is now supporting Nuclear Power. Believe it or not, the founder of Green Peace Dr. Patrick Moore, spoke in Boise, Idaho recently. What he had to say was this....

"..there is no proof that humans are causing global warming," and he wisely advocated "a dramatic shift toward reliance upon nuclear power." A-freaking-mazing. It's good to see that actual factual data is beginning to make headway against failed computer models, inaccurately generated statistics and celebrity science.

The Clean Air and Safe Energy Coalition which Dr. Moore now represents, believes that nuclear power will be the predominant energy source to wean America off of fossil fuels and foreign dependence. Other alternative energies can serve some intermediate energy functions, but cannot in any way cover the scope that nuclear can.

Radical environmentalists accuse Dr. Moore of being a sell-out. That being the only argument they have left, since every other bit of opposition they've had has disintegrated like a dirt clod in a bucket of water. Mostly because Dr. Moore is an actual scientist, whilst the remnant of GreenPeace these days are political agendists.

Groups such as Nukefree, held up by music celebrities like Nash, Raitt, Harper and Browne dive into the mix often, waxing nostalgic with incorrect info. I found an interesting video on YouTube on this topic by user kuronekoyama. It's about two years old, but the info in it stands solid. HERE is the video. There are also two more follow up videos on this topic found in order HERE and HERE. They provide some interesting insight on the nuclear energy topic.

France generates over 75% of it's nations energy via Nuclear power. Imagine the reduced cost of energy here in America should we move to even 40%-50% of our energy via Nuclear versus the under 30% we have now.

There's more on this topic to be found HERE.
