UPDATE: 1-2-2008; For those who may be wondering, yes you are correct, I haven't written anything new for a few days. I have been pondering, and decided to go through with, going on a writting sabatical for a few months. With all the political mess we are in now, and all the crap we've been put through over the last year and a half, I need the rest, just as America needs a rest from liberals. I'll c yas on the flip side. --John

McCain v Obama: The War Of The Words Begins

With neither presumptive candidate actually owning their parties nominee title, the "War of Words" has already shifted into high gear it seems. Not that the proverbial mudslinging is anything new to politics. It just seems a bit early for either of the "not yet the confirmed" candidates to start the fisticuffs in my opinion.

Being a Republican, and a Conservative one at that, I like many of my ilk, will probably end up voting for McCain, even though I'm really not completely digging what he's about. It just looks like another "lesser of two evils" situation to me. Obama is just way to Liberalistic for my blood to even consider him for the job. And the message of "Hope & Change" without any real plan of hope or change being laid out, doesn't bolster my confidence in him.

Personally, I have trouble acknowledging anyone for the position of President who hasn't served in the armed forces for at least a little while. I don't see how anyone can conceive the notion that they can defend our country without the tad bit of insight that is developed by actually having been there. Leadership by example goes a long way. And Obama's example thus far has only been to play the race-card, more taxes and the most Liberal voting record to date in the Senate.

Not exactly traits I admire in a possible future President.

But the word-war between the Obama-nation and the McCain-ites has begun, and won't get any prettier in the future. The most recent example of a back and forth was Retired Gen. Wesley Clark's slam of McCain. While Gen. Clark mentioned as an aside that he praises McCain for his surviving having been a P.O.W., he doesn't believe that should give exclusive rights to the White House. That leading a squadron of aircraft is no substitute for command experience. And I'd have to marginally agree with him. While in a way it does provide a glimpse of command, it's not the large scale command that the entire U.S.A. would demand. But when paired against Obama's leadership command experience, it does seem to be considerably more than Obama can muster for a resume insert.

McCain was quick with a retort on this subject, noting the flip-flopping of Obama regarding campaign funding and agreeing to a TownHall style debate. And went on to mention that if Obama wanted to essentially "spar" with him, he (Obama) should meet him face to face, and not hide behind others like Gen. Clark.

So, early in the fight, the gloves are already being taken off, and were moving into what more or less will become street brawls, rather than political campaigns. I can't wait to see what campaigns will be like thirty years from now. I'm betting they actually start having sword fighting duels to determine the party nominees.

Stay tuned for CNN's Political Bloodbath Telecasts.

Obama's Birth Certificate: Is It A Forgey?

As found in an Israel Insider article, it just might be. There are some serious doubts about the validity of the poor resolution copy the Obama campaign has made available on it's fight the smears site. Which then lends itself to an even bigger question; is Obama even eligible for the position of President of the United States?

Not to mention all the lingering issues about his credibility, his origin, his agendas and the like that would arise if it is indeed, a fake. How are we supposed to "trust" an individual, vying for the seat of the most powerful nation on Earth, if he can't even be trusted to provide a legitimate document verifying his birth.

What generated all this ire? An article that popped up on the Daily-Kos (which I refuse to link to, but can be found in the Israel Insider article link) which heralded an image (hosted on photobucket) as being Obama's authentic Birth Certificate. Not that photobucket is known for being the premier hosting site of authentic legal documentation. But now, there are many photoshoped versions of his (Obama's) birth certificate found there, including one with Antarctica as the birth place?

All the provided images are also lacking a couple of KEY components, that assist in validating a birth certificate. One is an embossed seal, which would be found on the right side, lower half of the document, and is a couple inches across in size. The other is an "authorizing signature" on the back side that would "show through" the document. Imagine a banks stamp/signature showing through a cashed check after it's been cancelled, and you'll get the picture.

Obama's version, found right on his own "Fight the Smears" page? Well, just like all the other copies, completely lacks these characteristics. And there's one last thing. The certificate number is completely blacked out. Making it impossible to trace it's authenticity.

What is most damning to the Obama-nation, is a statement made by Janice Okubo, Director of Communications of the State of Hawaii Department of Health to the Israel Insider;

"At this time there are no circumstances in which the State of Hawaii Department of Health would issue a birth certification or certification of live birth only electronically. In the State of Hawaii all certified copies of certificates of live birth have the embossed seal and registrar signature on the back of the document."

Oops!

Read the full article at the Israel Insider for much, much, MUCHO MUCH more information regarding this.

Praise The Lord And Pass The Ammo! DC'ers Get Their Guns Back!

Amazing! Absolutely fantastic is all I can say. Washington D.C.'s 30+ year old gun ban, that is directly responsible for the city having the highest violent crime rate in the nation, has been ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL by The Supreme Court. A 5-4 decision has ruled that the 2nd Amendment gives individual citizens the right to "keep and bear arms" for defense.

And specifically mentioned were handguns, as being the preferable weapon of choice. Namely because you can aim it at a target while dialing a phone. I'm almost willing to bet that the citizenry there will have purchased around a million handguns by the end of next month!

No, not really that many. (Nice thought though.) But I do believe that once the dust from this settles, there will be a drastic dip in violent crime in the area. Just like in every other city that has defended the right to own firearms. (Cough, cough, Kenesaw, Ga.)

Deciding for the majority were Chief Justice John Roberts, and Justices Antonin Scalia, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Clarence Thomas. I think a round of applause and some thank you notes are due to these justices for this decision. Scalia had written as one of the majority that, "an individual right to bear arms is supported by 'the historical narrative' both before and after the Second Amendment was adopted. The Constitution does not permit 'the absolute prohibition of handguns held and used for self-defense in the home'."

The Court also struck down the the "trigger-lock or disassembled" portion of the ban, that affected those who were grandfathered-in prior to the ban being enacted. Several other requirements, such as the licensing of firearms were left in tact. Bravo!

The dissenters were Justices Stephen Breyer, John Paul Stevens, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David Souter. Of the various dissenting comments from this quartet, the one that stood out to me as the most ridiculous was from Breyer. In his own dissent he wrote, and I'm quoting here, "In my view, there simply is no untouchable constitutional right guaranteed by the Second Amendment to keep loaded handguns in the house in crime-ridden urban areas."

???????

Uh, okay? Let's think about that one for a second. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." That sounds like a pretty clear cut and straightforward, untouchable constitutional right guaranteed in the 2nd Amendment to me.

But to be absolutely fair here, let's change just a bit of his own wording, just a little, and see how many Lib-Tard groups would be affected.... "In my view, there simply is no untouchable constitutional right guaranteed by the FIRST Amendment for a group to protest military recruitment offices in a peaceful urban areas." Getting the picture here BERKELEY? Code Pinko's?

I can't wait to see how many dictatorship style bans fall from this decision. The first domino has fallen. San Fransisco, your next.

More info on this landmark decision can be found HERE.

Move America Forward Web-A-Thon For The Troops: June 26th 2008

With our "fair and balanced" media striving to provide us with the worst news they can find from Iraq (that being very little) these days, Move America Forward is trying to generate some positive history. And what they have planned is unlikely to generate any enthusiasm amongst the lefties who "claim" to support our troops. Mostly because it would be a major morale booster for our troops, serving in an ever increasingly improving environment. That being, Iraq and Afghanistan.

(Hint, hint, good news from Iraq an Afghanistan doesn't make the news as you may have noticed.)

But for the rest of us who really do give a damn, this will be a wonderful opportunity to show our brave men and women, who don a uniform and put their lives on the line on our behalf everyday, that we really do care. And coming from a former active duty Marine and Combat Veteran, I can say first hand that these efforts really do make a hell of a difference. I thank those who cared when I was over there. Just as those serving now will be grateful to know that others care about them.

That being said, onto the NEWS about Move America Forwards event!

Tomorrow, being June 26th 2008, Move America Forward will be holding a "web-a-thon" in order to meet and exceed any previous, major care package effort ever devised. They are planning to surpass the 1,000 packages sent by the Grand Ol' Opry. The 10,000 packages sent by the Nevada Girl Scouts. And even go above and beyond the 50,000 packages sent by Operation Gratitude!

All listed of which were fantastic shows of appreciation by said groups. I hope such efforts to show our Marines, Airmen, Soldiers and Sailors, just how much they are cared for. And that such gestures will continue to be seen.

But Move America Forward will also be holding a live streaming webcast on Ustream.tv on From the Front Lines, which is slated to be hosted by Melanie Morgan and Michelle Malkin. (Note, to participate in the chat, you will have to register an account.) Guests slated to appear during this EIGHT HOUR event, are Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and Monica Crowley according to the Media Research Center link.

Move America Forward is also aware that everyone won't be able to participate tomorrow. So their Campaign Store has been set up to continue the effort after the webcast and web-a-thon has ended.

So, for those who were looking for an opportunity to "Support our Troops" and just didn't know how, here is your opportunity. Show our men and women, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, moms and dads, that they truly are in our thoughts and prayers.

And that you really do care about and "Support" them.

Obama's "Thank You" Letter To His Mindless Minions

Despite being another mass-circulating e-mail, especially during a major political season, there arises from the melee those that just stand out. Those that, while humorous in nature, have that certain "ring of truth" rarely found these days.

With the race card being played like a harp by the Obama-nation minions, the legions of Liberalite supporters overlooking the obvious, and capped off with the overtly shady acquaintances, a big "Thank you" really is deserved to those that just might put him in office.

For those Lib's that don't receive their "official copy" of Obama's thank you letter, you have my permission to copy/paste/print, the content of the thank you letter. I don't want you to feel abandoned by your messiah.

So, a thanks to "Jim" for the good laugh, good natured e-mail;

My fellow Americans:

As your future President I want to thank my supporters, for your mindless support of me, despite my complete lack of any legislative achievement, my pastor's relations with Louis Farrakhan and Libyan dictator Moamar Quadafi, or my blatantly leftist voting record while I present myself as some sort of bi-partisan agent of change.

I also like how my supporters claim my youthful drug use and criminal behavior somehow qualifies me for the Presidency after 8 years of claiming Bush's youthful drinking disqualifies him. Your hypocrisy is a beacon of hope shining over a sea of political posing.

I would also like to thank the Kennedy's for coming out in support of me. There's a lot of glamour behind the Kennedy name, even though JFK started the Vietnam War, his brother Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King, Jr. and Teddy killed a female employee with whom he was having an extra marital affair and who was pregnant with his child. And I'm not going anywhere near the cousins, both literally and figuratively.

And I'd like to thank Oprah Winfrey for her support. Her love of meaningless empty platitudes will be the force that propels me to the White House.

Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience or achievement, but because I make people feel good. Voting for me causes some "typical white folk" who are "clinging to guns and religion" to feel relieved of their imagined, racist guilt.

I say things that sound meaningful, but don't really mean anything because Americans are tired of things having meaning. If things have meaning, then that means you have to think about them. Americans are tired of thinking. It's time to shut down the brain, and open up the heart. So when you go to vote, remember don't think, just do. And do it for me.

Thank You.

Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

Now then, don't you just feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

I know I do, which usually means I need to puke.

Sarkozy In Israel: Not An Assassination Attempt

Tel Aviv - French President Nicolas Sarkozy ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT! Well no, not really. But judging by the early reports on CNN and the like this morning, I'm betting a lot of people "might have thought" that. (I guess the "C" in CNN doesn't stand for credibility.) As usual, I'm glad I waited a couple hours until more details were made available.

Now if we could just get the Liberal Media Establishment to do the same.

So here are the basic details available;

As it looks so far, the incident was isolated and involved only one Israeli Police Officer. The Officer looks to either have committed suicide, or possibly had an accidental discharge of his firearm which struck him in the head. Subsequently, the injury ended the Officer's life. Either way, it has/had no direct bearing on Sarkozy's presence in Israel. Sarkozy's trip to Israel, was to improve relations between France and Israel. Israeli Police advised that they are further investigating the incident.

My prayers are with the family of that officer.

From reports by the likes of AP and Reuters, the incident occurred during the departure ceremony for Sarkozy and his wife. The shot rang out while a military band was playing. Neither Sarkozy, nor Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert or Israeli President Shimon Peres who were in attendance at the send-off, even heard the shot. The Officer was stationed on a rooftop about 100 yards or so from the plane.

Sarkozy was whisked aboard the plane by bodyguards, with his uber-hottie wife, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, leading the way. Olmert and Peres were also quickly ushered away by Israeli Security. It was reported that Olmert and Peres returned shortly there after and boarded the aircraft to inform Sarkozy of what had transpired.

I hate to say it, but it's almost too bad that this wasn't an attempt on Sarkozy.

It would have been interesting to see what the outcome might have been. I wonder if we would have just had more jokes about the French to add to the list, or if we would have seen the French seriously "man-up" against the threat of terrorism. Which in all actuality, could have been a real possibility. After all, they did elect Sarkozy who is a bit less wimpy than Former French President Jacques Chirac.

I guess we'll never know. At least, not based on this incident.

Fairness Doctrine = Fascism: It's The Plain & Simple Truth

There really is no other way to describe it. It can't be rationalized into anything other than an attempt by politicians to keep their actions close to the vest as it were. To silence once and for all, any dissension to their personal or lobbyists agendas. They simply do not like "We the people," a.k.a. their constituency, knowing what they are doing. And still they refuse to give this already-failed-once draconian, nightmare piece of legislation up.

Of course the UNfairness doctrine, as it should rightly be labeled, (as it is anything but fair) is aimed at only RADIO programing, just like the original back in 1929. No mention is even hinted at, at either print or visual media outlets, better known as "Lib-friendly" media outlets. And just like back then, it did NOT encourage competitive programing, but discouraged it to the utmost extreme. Radio programing simply discontinued airing anything that could be deemed controversial.

Which is exactly what the Lib's want! Since 90% of talk radio is of a Conservative or Judeo-Christian nature, and a significant portion of the listeners respond, they want it squashed completely. Giving them free reign via printed media, like the New York Times (Crimes is more accurate,) and MSNBC (who's programing more resembles MS-LSD) too push whatever views they desire.

And it's not like radio station programmers could just "refuse" to offer alternative programing, as was seen in the Red Lion Broadcasting v. FCC case. Red Lion lost their broadcasting license because of the UNfairness doctrine of yore. How quickly do you think a 10 mile line of lawsuits will appear if this comes around again?

Can you say STATE RUN MEDIA?

It wasn't until the Reagan-era hit that this horrible legislation was removed in 1985, thereby opening the airwaves back up to what we could almost consider, FREE SPEECH. I say almost free, as it's free as long as your NOT white or you are a Liberal. Or you are white and don't comment on any ethnicity but whites. (Cough, cough, Don Imus, cough!)

We regularly label other countries as being fascist, when we hear of their actions to stifle ANY freedoms of speech. Yet, the "beacon of hope" that America still remains to be to the rest of the world, refuses to come together to permanently defend that very same freedom. Yes, contrary to Lib's beliefs, which I might add are not the popular belief, the populations of many countries still like America. Sorry, but Obama will NOT give us a better image amongst those who are still struggling for their basic freedoms.

Democrats like Durbin, Feinstein, Kerry, and a host of others are still trying to push another version of the UNfairness doctrine through. The Dem's failed with their first attempt on SB-1 in early 2007. Just over one year later, it's already being discussed again.

U.S. Congressman Mike Pence of Indiana is pushing hard to get the UNFairness doctrine abolished forever. Dem's have still refused to allow a "Broadcaster Freedom Act," bill H.R.2905 to come to the floor in either the House or Senate for an up/down vote. A Discharge Petition is being circulated to force the bill to the floor for that vote. It requires 218 signatures, and they have 199 so far as you can see in the link. As of yet, there are NO Dem's that have signed the petition.

If your representatives names AREN'T on the list, I recommend you give them a call.

Human Rights Commissions: What A Joke

When a person speaks of human rights, we'd naturally think of the basic rights granted us like found in our Constitution. The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. When you hear about a tribunal or commission regarding human rights, you'd expect it to be a court of some sort, defending these sorts of rights.

But you'd be wrong.

Human Rights Commissions are more akin to what would be found in say, a Stalin or Mao era prison. Forced confessions anyone? And these courts really aren't accountable to anyone. Worse, there really aren't any requirements, like a burden or proof or anything. Their primary, (or better described, ONLY,) reason for existence? Hate crimes. To stamp out hate around the globe.

Not found amongst the long list of countries that have joined in on the mock-judicial system , is America. Thank goodness for that. In America, we still have, (for now at least) a little thing called "freedom of speech." No matter how much I despise what you say, or how much someone hates what I say, we are BOTH allowed to speak our minds.

This is, believe it or not, STILL a foreign concept to many countries. As a Canadian investigator (Dean Steacy) for one of these commissions stated, "Freedom of speech is an American concept, so I don't give it any value." Freedom of speech = No value? Our 'fair and balanced' media should be on their knees thanking God daily that they have so far escaped becoming part of a 'state run media' institution. Mostly because almost everything they broadcast could be considered "hate speech" these days, in one form or another.

(Take the hint Olbermann.)

Unfortunately, a few people in Canada are not so lucky, as can be found HERE and HERE.

Thought crimes are part of the NEW hate crimes genre. All it takes is for someone to "feel victimized" by what they believe you meant. Regardless of whether or not that is what you intended. As shown in the links above, Pastors essentially having to renounce their faith because of speaking out against homosexuality. Authors and magazines fined for what is perceived as being hate speech against muslims.

As for me, other than hating radical lib-tards, I don't like the color Fuchsia (hex triplet# FF00FF). Not that I have anything in particular against it. I just don't like it. But that's all it takes to bring suit in these tribunals.

Too bad for them that I live in America, where I'm free to hate the color fuchsia all I want. And pronounce it LOUDLY!

Fail Your Blood Test: Your Fired!

One would expect this if it were regarding a work incident involving drug use (narcotics) while on the job. One could believe, even expect a statement like this over alcohol use on the job. And in both cases, it would probably be appropriate.

But one would NOT expect to hear this from their employer in regards to cigarette usage. So welcome to the new Amerikan Communist Collective.

Yes, amazingly enough, some work locations are actually opening up to the possibility of forcing their employees to submit to "randomized" blood tests to determine if they smoke. (Scott's is one company that comes to mind at the moment.) Is it even possible to generate a more discriminatory practice than this? How a person behaves/acts while on the job is one thing. But for an employer to actually have the audacity to believe they can lay claim to a person's private life is simply beyond comprehension.

And of course you know, it's all supposed to be in the name of "health," or some other extroverted bull crap. Even though the excessively over-used argument that smokers cost more to take care of (health care wise) was already dismantled. And by the Dutch, no less.

So much for that crap.

California already has some of the most restrictive smoking laws in existence as it is. Indoor smoking is prohibited in just about every location in the state already. That includes places where it was normally thought of as common practice, like bars and hotel lobbies.

Should this sort of practice become commonplace amongst employers, and it's beginning to look like it is. (Anyone recently have their employer offer "incentives" to participate in a health fair? Incentives like $100 off of your health care costs for a year, maybe?) What other aspects of a person's PRIVATE life will be subject to scrutiny and outside enforcement?

As mentioned by conservative commentator Amy Homes on CNN last night, "What comes next? Shall we begin having weekly 'weigh-ins' for those who are overweight?" And on that note, who is to say WHO is considered overweight, and who isn't? What about those with large BMI's due to muscle and not fat? Or what about mandatory "random" STD's testing to deal with the health related problems from employees who do a bit of sleeping around the office?

Because you know, overweight employees with herpes that smoke, are health risks to their co-workers families at home.

Saudi's 2% Oil Bump Not Likely To Change Anything

The largest oil producing nation, Saudi Arabia, has declared that during the month of July it intends to increase its production by approximately 2% a day. That's roughly 200,000 barrels, in response to the soaring prices. But will it really make any significant difference in the costs of fuel?

Not likely.

We've already witnessed a couple moves to curb soaring prices that went virtually nowhere, so a couple hundred thousand extra barrels aren't predicted to have any noticeable affect. Markets wavered very little in response to an already 300,000 barrel boost by Saudi Arabia last month. Add to that, the extremely ineffective move by Dem's demanding that oil going to U.S. reserves, be redirected to the market. That maneuver fell flat as expected.

So it's not likely that we will be seeing anything more than fuel prices holding steady for a short while before climbing again, to perhaps no more than a dime or two drop for a short period. After which, it will begin to climb again anyways. The Saudi's agreement to boost production again is self serving as it is, since oil is their chief export. Their concern is that at these inflated prices, the world's appetite will flounder and slacken for oil and eventually affect Saudi Arabia in the end.

I can't blame them for that train of thought though. It's kind of their bread and butter, so anything that truly threatens it is worthy of their attention I'd say.

But what about American fuel costs as it is? We're still technically kind of spoiled when it comes to fuel prices. A significant portion of Europe has been paying upwards of $6-$8 a gallon for years. Which still leads one to reason that, we need INDEPENDENCE from foreign oil.

I'll say it again if I've said it 100 times, Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less! The caribou will just have to cope for a while. Yes, it will take some time for drilling to get under way here and actually begin to have an effect. Yes, some alternative energies will be profitable in the future, like ten years from now. But let's at least get it started NOW, so it WILL BE effective THEN.

Pew Results Solidify Reasoning NOT to Vote For Obama

As if it was really necessary to find any more reasons not to vote for Obama. Fortunately, we didn't even have to look, as mass-media offered up willingly yet another reason, like it was a good thing. If there was any lingering doubts about how bad it will get with Obama as President, a just released Pew Research Center poll will justify it.

The poll was part of the Global Attitudes project, in which it shows that America will be viewed more favorably in the foreign policy arena once a new President emerges. And shockingly, the world chose Obama. Okay, considering a good portion of the countries involved, like Lebanon, China, Russia, France, Spain, etc., it's not really shocking at all.

The study was conducted from mid-March to mid-April and spanned 24 or so countries. It encompassed about 24,000 people sub captioned as, "respondents who SAY they have been following the U.S. Presidential election very or somewhat closely." Yeah, following it closely from what their "state run" media allows them to follow.

There was one serious shocker country result in there, which tells me somethings not right somewhere. JORDAN was the ONLY country, aside from the U.S. itself that picked McCain as being the better foreign policy guy. How the hell did that happen? That really IS a shocker. But with the overwhelming response from survey participants OUTSIDE of America edging for Obama, most of which don't like us anyways, that signals one thing....

Appeasement. There's no other description needed than that. Period.

They want Obama in there to cow-tow to the whims of the U.N. and the rest of the world, and all that entails. The LOST treaty? Yep, America will sign on without a fight. NAU project? Yep, America's borders will begin to vanish. (Say hello, to the $-Amero) Kyoto-style treaties? Yep, America's already hard struck economy will plummet to third world status to satisfy environmental restrictions, that no one else will have to adhere to. Global tax acceptance? Sure thing, the Obama luv's him sum taxin'. (Cough, cough, $845 Billion in taxes for the Global Poverty Act alone, cough.)

Not to mention all the other ugliness that will ensue. The already Socialistic ideals of the radical leftards will move to full fledged Communism. Separate court systems emerging as Sharia law is instituted in different parts of, then engulfing America. Can you say Global-Dhimmi?

I'm sure Obama can. Need any further reason NOT to vote for Obama?

Soldiers, Umpires And Other Job's Everyone Should Do Pt.2

After having considered the musings that Jim had provided about umpires and referees, I began to ponder the various applications that such a theory could spawn. While excellent judgement and discernment could be developed from Jim's ideal, what about many other traits that today's youth will be in dire need of in the future?

Remember, they are supposed to BE our future. God help us.

Of course having been an active duty Marine at one time, as well as a combat veteran, the obvious thought of military service came to mind. I volunteered, as it should ALWAYS be. Don't take this as a call that every one should be forced to serve. I don't believe that at all. A draft in dire need, such as defending America itself here at home? Perhaps. But not in uncrucial times. And we are not in crucial times to require one now.

What I pondered was more in the neighborhood of a VOLUNTARY 30 month tour of duty for graduates right after high school. It would give six months or so for basic training and additional military occupational skills. And still leave them around two years to work in the fields they trained for.

And who could forget the images of R. Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket ripping the 'boots' a new one, up one side and down the other. Today's youth couldn't handle someone grilling them like that if they wanted to. They'd collapse like a wet paper bag in a heap of spasms and tears. Has anyone worked for an abusive boss before? Why not give our youth the opportunity to develop the skills, resistances if you will, to that sort of tripe before they need it in the real world?

Spending a good 30 months in the service before entering the rest of the real world would give the emerging youth a more realistic perspective of the world, that college could never give. Contrary to liberal beliefs, which I might add are not the popular belief of the rest of humanity, Soldiers and Marines are NOT robots. They are not programmed to kill like the mindless terminators of sci-fi. Military personnel are expected to perform a mission, from the highest officer to the lowest buck-private. If the commanding officer dies, the next in line is expected to fill the gap, all the way down the rank line.

This requires not only INDIVIDUAL thought, but TEAM building at the same time to accomplish a mission. Much in the same way a job would expect. Sorry kids, but unless daddy OWNS the law firm, your not going to have a $200k a year job right out of high school or college and given a company Mercedes 500SEL. You get hired if your the person they believe can do the job, and you will be expected to PERFORM.

Let's give them that opportunity.

And some might even find that the military is a career choice they could stick with. So not only did they get a short term introduction by being there only 30 months, but they are all ready aware of what a future there would/could potentially provide. Heck, even a stint in the Peace Corps is about 24 months.

But these are just ramblings of excessive coherence and knowledge about the world in which "our future" will be growing up in. Hopefully, someone comes up with something, in a realistic manner that will give them the real world exposures they will need to succeed.

Soldiers, Umpires And Other Job's Everyone Should Do Pt.1

Watching the political pundits these days can be quite humorous if you approach it with the right attitude. And neither side is innocent to be honest, as the mud-flinging abounds from all angles. But what bothers me is, the rank and file Obama worshipers. Most of them are young and, thanks to liberalized "higher education," are about one notch away from crossing the line into complete marxism.

Although that dreaded word, "marxism" never gets used by them to describe themselves as it has bad connotations associated with it. The preferred terminology of the day is "neo-progressivism." It's also another way of saying Liberal. Same difference. It all essentially boils down to a form of brain washing most of these kids get before they are even well into their twenties. Be it subtle or not, students are being warped into believing some really awful ideals.

Kind of like raising a new nation of Manchurian Candidates.

Having chatted a bit with folks in their senior years, people who remember "the way it used to be," I've learned a great deal. Real knowledge that's worth more than any degree could give me. One particular co-worker gave me a very interesting perspective. I'll call him "Jim" for this article. Mostly because that is his name, and he could really care less what others think of him. So Jim it is.

Jim's idea was that prior to being indoctrinated in today's colleges and universities, everyone, and he means EVERYONE should spend at least one season as a Referee or an Umpire for sporting events. Be it high school basketball, Pop-Warner football, Little League baseball, whatever.

His thought behind this ideal was this. By being thrust into a position of authority and decision making, a persons abilities and judgemental development are honed through a process based on empirical evidence rather than emotional influence. An example is as mentioned above, the Obama-ites. When you inquire of them about positions and stances on the topics, all you really get is the same mantra over and over. Hope. Change. Or the all popular, I'm voting for him because "it makes a statement about me." No basis or factual info involved. It's all emotion.

We yell at ump's/ref's for bad calls, NOT because it was a bad call, but because we want our team to win. Emotion, not hard evidence. When we go back and watch the replay, sure enough, he was out. Evidence, not emotion. We don't go and scream at an ump or ref because he called our base runner safe and we think he was out. It just doesn't happen.

By achieving such traits PRIOR TO entering an established higher educational institution, students would have an improved ability to discern between the factual information they receive, what real knowledge they have already attained and what is just bunk being crammed into their heads to fill out a "well rounded" education.

More to come in Part 2.

"Windfall Profit Tax" Stopped: Sure To Raise Its Ugly Head Again

Thankfully, enough people (including 1 Democrat) managed to come to their senses enough to prevent the dreaded "Windfall Profit Tax" from coming to fruition. Be sure to send a "Thank You" card to Senate Republicans (and D-Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana) for preventing your fuel costs from jumping any faster than they already are.

Party politics can be an ugly thing during election years. But like drive-by gang shootings, the ones who inevitably get "hit" are the innocent by standards. That being you and me. Here's the gist of the Senate Democrats (and as I understand it, seven Republicans) "windfall profits tax" ideal.

They wanted to zap the top five oil companies, being Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Shell Oil, BP America and ConocoPhilips, with an additional 25% tax on top of what they already pay, for any "unreasonable" profits they might make. (Unreasonable isn't defined either, so ANY profit counts.) They also wanted to renege some tax breaks the Big Evil-5 oil companies will get to the tune of about $17 billion. Not too many people are aware that that horrendous amount is over a ten year period. So only about $1.7 billion tax cut a year. Give or take a few million, roughly. When your only working on about a 10% profit margin, you need all the breaks you can get. Not to mention this would totally destroy any domestic production. That alone is guaranteed to drive prices through the roof.

Alas, we're destined to hear this same worn out tirade over and over from the Dem's over the next couple years, "Evil Big Oil = Bad!" And even after being trounced, Dem's wouldn't rule out pushing the issue again at a later date. Hence, the constant push towards Socialism. Government owned, government run, good for every one.

Riiiight....

Here's the thing, just were (we should be asking these genius Dem's,) will the Evil Oils make this severe loss up? I seriously doubt they will be "passing the hat" for donations. Only one place left to go. You guessed it, at the pump. In other words, if they government is going to squeeze them, they'd have no choice but to squeeze it out of us. You think Europe has it bad now at about $8 a gallon? If proposals like this crap-fall profit tax get enacted, $8 a gallon will be a drop in the bucket.

The part that does kind of irk me a little, is that Senate Republicans then followed up with a block on a second proposal. This one would have extended tax beaks for some alternate energy development, like wind, SOLAR and the like. Eh, I can understand blocking wind. It won't go too far anyways. It may be descent for small communities. But solar, in about a decade I believe will be pretty beneficial and the benchmark for alternative energy sources next to Nuclear.

Go figure.

"Take That, Pilgrim": GetLiberty.org Victory Article

"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them."
--John Wayne, The Shootist.

This article I received via e-mail today from GetLiberty.org was just too good to pass up. Not to mention the hope and positive note it generates for property owners "Rights" in America. The Stewards of the Range, a group I've noted before in my Anti-NAU article, played a part in this current article.

To essentially sum up the article is this; "a Claims Court ruled that the federal government may not use environmentalist regulations and bullying tactics to refuse citizens use of their own land without providing them with just compensation." And boy was that compensation a kick in the ass! The court ruled that the government owed (the Hage family) over $4.2 million, plus interest and attorney’s fees and costs.

The Hage family is the subject here, as they were as described above, bullied and regulated by environmentalist regulations. One of the incidents was over "Elk released into the region led to the government blocking off sources of water to which the Hage family had rights."

Other offences were of the like of, the federal government refused to allow Mr. Hage to maintain irrigation ditches to which he had rights, threatening him with trespassing if he set foot anywhere near them. The Hage’s cattle were impounded and sold – with the government keeping all the proceeds – for the “violation” of allowing cattle to graze on land the Hage’s had leased, and the government subsequently decided was “overgrazed.”

Having basically been forced off their own land, the Hage family had little choice but to sue for compensation. And wouldn't you know it, a bunch of enviro-nazi's like the Sierra Club and National Wildlife Federation, jumped in to try and beat down the Hages. The "greenies" got whooped. According to the ALG article, they had to content themselves with writing an amicus brief after the court rejected their appeals. Finally, a court is found to exist with a descent head on their shoulders.

As found in the ALG Perspective at the end of the article, is a summation that all who "really believe" in a persons rights, should take into consideration; The Hage family’s victory should also serve as a wake-up call to all Americans, to cause them to be more vigilant of the Green assault on their rights. It is unconscionable for the government to use environmental regulations to force law-abiding citizens into giving up land to which they have rights.

Amen Brother!

Global Warming Is Dead: An Inconvenient Opera?

In the film industry, an actor or actress is usually considered "finished" when the best parts they can get are television commercials. In opera however, the saying is that "it's not over until the fat lady sings!" And it seems, that the fat lady of Global Warming will soon be signing. Literally.

Most people will think this a joke at first. And believe me, I only wish it was. But coming in 2011, will be an opera based on Al 'the Goracle' Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. As thus far, famed Italian composer Giorgio Battistelli has been commissioned to produce this genocidal fiasco that will premier in Milan.

La Scala officials appear to have completely lost their marbles.

We've gone from a hokey slide-show, to mock-umentary, to books and world tours on private jets. And now these upper class-ites, want to create an actual opera on the subject. This must truly signal the end of global warming. (One can only hope.) I suppose this can be likened to that aging actress desperate to show the movie world 'she still has star-power.' Right before she signs the contract to do ten consecutive 'Depends' commercials.

Gore was quoted recently during an interview with Leslie Stahl, a 60 Minutes correspondent, as saying, "..we have to awaken to the moral duty that we have to do the right thing and get out of this silly political game-playing about it. This is about survival.."

Yes Al, it is about survival. But only for you, as it's the survival of your bread & butter. Not the survival of the planet. The polar bears will survive just fine without you.

Personally, I'm attributing this opera to being on par with or worse than the "Vogon Poetry" found in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Hmmm, now that I think of it, perhaps not. One character in that book only had to gnaw his own leg off to survive that tripe. For humans, it will more likely end in global scale mass-suicides.

Let us pray, that this doesn't come to fruition.

Our Pain Their Gain: Expect MORE Fuel Taxes

Well, at least most of us should expect to see even higher fuel costs. Like us in California, many other states fuel taxes are tied, through amazingly complex formulas which rise as the cost of fuel rises. And with the National Average for fuel now exceeding $4 a gallon, (actually $4.02, but who's counting right?), it's really starting to put the pinch on the average Joe's pocketbook.

Personally, I won't be even the least bit surprised if gas reaches an average $6 a gallon Nationwide by next summer. If not earlier. I'm actually betting on it.

But with fuel prices continuing to climb daily, most (not all) State Governments have devised a spectacularly amazing idea (in their minds only) to help "ease our pain" at the pump. Their plan? To add MORE taxes! Yeah! That's the answer! Erm, wait. That sounds more like a spectacular failure in motion, by none other than Big Government.

How exactly, is raising taxes supposed to help us, the consumer, at the gas pump? How is this considered an even remotely good idea?

Well, the "theory" is, and we've seen how well theories have done the last several decades or so, that creating more pain at the pump will drive more people to move towards "alternative" forms of transportation. I.E., buses, trains, other forms of mass transit. Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense. Wait, wouldn't this whole "pain is pleasure" thing then technically classify governments as sadists?

News flash for you folks in the government coming up with these brilliant thoughts. People were ALREADY moving towards alternative transportation. Not to mention other moves by the populace. Folks have been taking off the gloves and dropping party lines to create groups like wecansolveit.org. And an even better one, AmericanSolutions.com.

And show trials trying to pin the blame on big evil oil aren't working anymore. People are realizing that yeah, they made $10 billion profit, but they spent a whole hell of a lot to make that. Folks are realizing that it's Government, and their Enviro bed-buddies that should be taking the heat. Folks are becoming aware of the fact that, once you minus the cost of the crude itself and the refining, the biggest remaining chunk of gas prices is.. wait for it.. TAXES!

Of all that tax the consumer pays, it's supposed to pay for the states infrastructure. Sorry, the bridge collapse in Minnesota was not caused by Iraq. It was caused by mismanaged tax money by the states government.

Now then, since all that tax money is definitely NOT going where it's supposed to, how about REMOVING taxes, instead of adding them.

There's even more HERE about this.

Hillary And Obama's Publicly Secret Meeting

Is anyone really surprised that Hillary's recent demise in the democratic nominational running, would yield a truce meeting? I didn't think so. But after a secretive meeting between Obama and Hillary, the media has been abuzz the last few days with speculations of a so-called "Dream Ticket" possibility.

No one really knows what was said, as the only two present at the meeting at Sen. Feinstein's home, were Obama and Hillary.

And so far, neither of them seem to be open to divulging the topics of the meeting, other than it was not about the Vice Presidency according to New York Sen. Charles Schumer. Sure it wasn't. But it was reported that they both departed from the meeting "laughing." I think Hillary was laughing more at Obama than with.

From all the previous Clintonesque escapades in the past, I'm guessing she probably told him, "This is how things are going to pan out. I'm going to be your pick for V.P. spot, or I'll just have you 'off-ed'. Is that in any way unclear? Didn't think so." Eh, but that's just my cynical supposition. Besides, most of those fellow lawyers and staff the Clinton's used to work with all died of natural causes, right? (More cynicism.)

I'm guessing that he will pick her anyways, just because it's in his best interests to do so. A pretty hefty percentage of her backers will go with McCain if she's not on the ticket in one form or another. So do the logical math there.

In the end, we will endure waves of "political expert analysis" from all the various forms of media to learn, more or less exactly nothing new, that we didn't already know before. Other than, their meeting was secret, it was at Sen. Feinstein's home at about 9pm, and they left in a jovial mood.

Nothing more to speculate. Let's move forward, shall we?

Should Airlines Just Start Closing Up Shop?

I've never owned my own business and to be honest, in today's world with all the possible problems that can occur, I'm not sure I would want to. My deepest admiration to those who stay afloat these days. But something occurred to me last night. After watching the news and seeing several consecutive reports on how bad the Airline Industry is being hit, led me to ponder a simple question.

What exactly, is keeping some of these businesses from simply closing up shop and calling it quits? I don't believe there's an enforceable law anywhere that mandates they have to stay in business.

The customer is not always right, and most often, is definitely in the wrong. Yet, airlines have to deal constantly with frivolous complaints. Some of the most ridiculous things too, like the famed Naomi Campbell incident. Or the mom currently suing an airline because her kid is allergic to peanuts, and there were peanuts on board the plane. How about girls that (quite wrongly) believed they were harassed by the flight staff because they were "too pretty?" Or perhaps a batch of imams making a scene both prior to boarding and after being boarded, then threaten to sue that they were kicked off?

There's already enough outside influence that airlines have to deal with, not to need any of this additional crap. Just minor influences, such as, oh say, WEATHER! The nice little increases in the cost of fuel over the last couple years might put a slight dent in their operations too you know. And let us not forget all the security and the like required to try and keep these complainers safe. Some of us actually do 'Remember 9/11.' Many apparently, don't .

I'd have to say in all honesty, if I owned one of these airlines (and it's probably a good thing I don't,) I'd most likely be dialing up the Chinese or some such. "Heya Hong Kong Airlines. I'm closing my doors. I've got four hundred 737's, 747's, and 767's complete with all the necessary parts and equipment to maintain them sitting in Seattle, Los Angeles and San Fransisco. They're fueled up and ready to go. Send your pilots over here with X-amount and they are yours!" Then take the money from the sale and pay off the stockholders however much, toss a separation check of however much to the employees, and bank the rest. And that's it!

"Oh, you need a flight to Aruba, or Japan, or maybe Europe? Well go next door then, before they shut down too. Otherwise, have a nice CRUISE!"

But it wouldn't be all that bad really in the end. Think of the fantastic environmental impact all those fewer planes in America would be. All that reclaimable land, once airports start shutting down. And don't forget how happy those idiots who moved into a house right in the airports flight path will be with no more noise daily from fly-overs. Then again they weren't to brilliant to begin with, to buy a house there 30+ years after the airport was built anyways, so their arguments are actually devoid of merit.

So anyways, good luck to those who can stay afloat. But I think I'll just take the train.

Da Tavarish, Da! Dabro Pozhalavat v U.S.S.A

Our fearless and prophetic leader-to-be, Comrade Obama, has claimed a tantamount victory for our cause! Comrade Hero Obama, has won the nomination to move our agenda forward in conquest over the Capitalist dogs! Very soon comrades, a new day will dawn in the newly formed United Socialist States of Amerika!

Our Progressively Socialized agendas of Taxation, Appeasement and of course comrades, universal coverages as in Health care are close to fruition. Remember my good common folk, you shall all be covered when our savior, Comrade Hero Obama takes power. At a mere cost of only $4-5k per patriot. And those who can not be covered, shall be hailed as hero's upon their glorious deaths!

To ensure that we can achieve such goals, we shall repeal all tax cuts. We shall further add more taxes to ensure an equally "shared prosperity" is enjoyed by all. Whether you toiled for it or not, it is your "Right" to enjoy the rewards of prosperity just as every capitalist has done.

As you have witnessed the "media love-fest" over Comrade hero Obama, my fellow patriots we are soon to completely control all media. There will be one true state sponsored source of media when our conquest is completed. There shall be TRUE free speech available for all, once each is approved by special committee censures. Make no mistake, we shall be victorious!

Soon, we shall welcome all into the bosom of Amerika, as we fling open the gates of our borders! Amerika shall grow to encompass many cultures, including those who would seek to do us harm. We suspect that the compassionate approach towards hostile nations, will protect us from those who believe us to be the "Great Satan." We have many plans ready to be initiated to ensure this.

We shall withdraw all troops from the middle east. The Amerikan soldiers shall leave behind their weapons as a token of friendship, to our great supporters overseas. Our friends in Hezbollah and Al Qaeda surely will cease to be agressive towards us as we embrace and uphold their causes.

We shall also hail Iran's triumph of nuclear age achievement, and further encourage them to continue to support groups, as they move forward with "driving the apes and pigs of Israel into the sea." Thereby reclaiming the land that was obviously stolen from their fellow men millenia ago.

Yes comrades, a great day approaches!

If China Was BAD Karma, What Was Universal Studios?

A blessing in disguise I suppose the appropriate answer would be. Just a few days ago the well-aged and decrepit actress Sharon Stone, made the mistake of equating the devastation in China to "Bad Karma" for China's treatment of Tibet.

This comparison has more or less exactly failed to impress the founder of the largest cineplex chain in China. UME founder Ng See-Yuen was so unhappy with the comment, that he stated his theaters will never play any more movies that Sharon Stone is in. For the record, UME has theaters in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Hangzhou and Guangzhou. In other words, China's biggest theater markets.

Nice job Sharon. Can you think of any other way to destroy any future possible box-office totals of a movie you may star in? Not that any one would be interested in hiring a has-been crotch-flasher. Nope, you've pretty much sealed any studios fate that would even bother to hire you. That must really be making the shareholders of such studios very happy.

But since we're on the subject of karma, be it good or bad, let us consider the ramifications of the karma involved with dumb celebrity comments. If we are now equating natural disasters to bad karma for a nations actions, would it then be justified to consider this weekends Universal Studios Hollywood fire to bad karma for celebrities being unable to keep their pampered pie holes closed? Nah, that would just be coincidence, wouldn't it.

Okay, then perhaps it's bad karma for recent decades of simply cranking out horrible, crap-ass movies. Eh, still probably a coincidence, but at least a bit more acceptable. Sorry, but the numbers and study are already there. A serious percentage of the country doesn't think so highly anymore of either the media or Hollywood. HERE is an article I did about this a while ago.

So, yes Hollywood. I think it to be a perfectly reasonable and acceptable summation. That your decades of crap, has come back to haunt you in the form of, "BAD KARMA" as Sharon put it. I can't wait to hear how many studios will now boycott me for making this insensitive insinuation. Heaven forbid they now refuse to show any more movies in the country I live in. Maybe we'll start getting a string of better flicks after this.

I hope you all can sense the dripping sarcasm here.
