Death, regardless of the circumstances is always tragic. But it's unfortunate that overt bias by the media and certain groups, tosses the extremely unnecessary twists into a crime like the one scrutinized here. A transgender teen, specifically, a boy acting the part of a girl, was killed by a man he had become involved with online.
And of course, The gay, lesbian, transgender groups were immediately all over this pushing for it to be deemed a hate crime. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for this loser spending hard time for killing the kid. But I wonder, would this kid still be alive if he had been upfront about his ACTUAL gender identity, rather than his PERCEIVED identity? Most likely he would be, as the suspect probably would have had nothing to do with the victim in the first place had he known.
Go figure.
So here's the basics of what happened. Justin Zapata, also known as "Angie" Zapata, an 18 year old transgender teen connected with 32 year old Allen Ray Andrade over the internet. Supposedly, on a social networking Web site called MocoSpace. A meeting was arranged for the 15th of July. According to Andrade, Zapata attended a court hearing for Andrade that day. Later that same day, Zapata allegedly performed oral sex on Andrade, but refused to allow Andrade to touch him sexually.
On the following day, (July 16th,) Zapata had left Andrade alone in Zapata's residence. Andrade says he began to become suspicious of Zapata's sexual orientation based on photos in Zapata's apartment, coupled with Zapata's sexual reluctance the previous day. Andrade confronted Zapata later on and asked Zapata outright, if he was a man or woman. According to Andrade, Zapata said (lied) "I am all woman." When Andrade asked for proof, Zapata refused. Andrade grabbed the groin area of Zapata and discovered Zapata had male genitals.
Andrade says he snapped and began to beat on Zapata, first with his fists. Then with a fire extinguisher. Andrade apparently departed with Zapata's cell phone, purse and car. He is now facing 2nd degree murder charges, and whatever "hate crimes" additions the GLTB groups can get pushed on him.
By the way, this incident occurred in Colorado. Interesting how the populace there, just had SB-200 forced on them not too long ago. If transgenderism is such a hot item to have ensured was added to the "protected species" list, what fear would this kid have had for being open and HONEST upfront, about his proud identity? The GLTB groups bought... erm, I mean fought, for his right to be a trannie.
Alas, Andrade the dirt bag and a half that he is, rightly deserves to be imprisoned for the rest of his unnatural life. Unfortunately, it will most likely be with a hate crime tag. That is not deserved.
UPDATE: 1-2-2008; For those who may be wondering, yes you are correct, I haven't written anything new for a few days. I have been pondering, and decided to go through with, going on a writting sabatical for a few months. With all the political mess we are in now, and all the crap we've been put through over the last year and a half, I need the rest, just as America needs a rest from liberals. I'll c yas on the flip side. --John

SoCal's Earthquake And It's Earthquake Preparedness
So as we've all heard, (thanks to the media's lack of anything else to report,) about the shaker we just had here in Southern California recently. It was only a 5.4 magnitude, and centered in the Chino Hills area of Los Angeles. As it stands, only minor damage, and no serious injuries were reported. Sounds like just another shaking-day here for us in Sunny SoCal.
But the media's main focus for the most part, has been centered on "preparedness." Trying to evoke the visions of FEMA's response in Katrina I suppose. Okay, sure. Preparedness. That's a valid topic to expound upon. So let's explore that a bit, shall we?
Ever since Katrina, Pelosi, Boxer and Feinstein, (the Eureka! triplets) have been harping non stop on the issue of FEMA not having a plan to deal with a major disaster in California. Mainly in respect to the "big quake" that we're to be subjected to, sometime in the next 100 years or so. They point to the probable mass structural damage and casualties that are expected to occur should we be hit with a 6.8 magnitude or bigger. And according to them, it will be all FEMA's fault.
After having read a few of the newsletters I get from my "eureka Rep's," I wonder if they truly have the best interests of their constituency in mind. Because lines of thought like that sure don't allow it to seem that way.
If preparedness is really an/the issue at hand here, what exactly is preventing these (my) Rep's from doing some preemptive preparations themselves? I mean, if they truly "care," what's stopping them from amassing emergency equipment and supplies in key locations throughout the state of their own accord?
Would it not be a fantastic, politically beneficial move, in light of their own admitted distrust of FEMA, to take the initiative, and start preparing on their own? It really can't be that difficult to redirect some resources to make this happen. I'm willing to bet cutting out the handouts for illegal aliens, would free up a serious amount of resources alone that could be put to better use in this respect.
This is a topic that does deserve discussion and debate. The setting of priorities for times of emergency. Which should be considered in ALL states. America first, or America last.

British Computer Hacker To Be Extradited To U.S.
So this guy Gary McKinnon supposedly pulled off one of the biggest, if not THEE biggest computer "hacks" in the history of the U.S. He gets caught. Then he loses his court battle to prevent being extradited to the U.S. And now he'll most likely be facing charges of sabotaging vital US defence systems and spend upwards of 70 years behind bars.
To quote many an FPS-gamer, "U R PWNED!"
But will he be? Honestly, this sounds like a prime "black-mail-ish" cannon fodder opportunity for the U.S. Government to exploit. I know, I know. That sounds like a totally irresponsible and unethical suggestion or some such to make. And you'd probably be right. But considering the circumstances, how often does an opportunity like this come about?
Especially when you consider that for every one of these hacker guys who actually do get caught, there's probably at least another dozen or so who have yet to be caught. And they are just as good, if not better, than the guy who did get captured. Odds are they are better, as they haven't been caught. But at this point, does it really matter?
Odds are, with the charges this guy will be facing, he will likely spend the remainder of his life behind bars, as it is Federal time. Federal time isn't like normal prison, with opportunities to get out on "good behavior." In Federal prison, you get out when your time is up. That is, if you manage to reach that date.
So I'm pretty sure this guy would be at least somewhat open to a deal. So make him one. And remember, he wouldn't have to accept it, as there is always Federal prison should he not opt for the offer. But sure, put his talents to use. Make him an offer he is "unlikely" to refuse.
Here's your choice, X-amount of time (he's looking at around 70 years) in Federal Prison, in which case, your likely to die of old age, (if your lucky.) Or spend X-amount of time on a "government probation" of a sorts. Say perhaps 10 years. Confined to a facility, NOT a prison cell, where he will have the basics of food, drink, health care, shelter. He will be paid for his time in the employ of the government. Not a lot mind you, but he will make a fair wage.
And he will be spending his X-amount of years working for the U.S. Government in a some what "government contractor status." He would be assisting in the training of the military's future cyber warriors. Writing code under supervision, to close exploits and loopholes he used, (and others could use) to break in in the first place. Etc, etc, etc...
Heck, even I would put serious consideration into taking an offer like that.
Here's some more details about this by the AFP.

Wealthiest Americans DO Pay Their Fair Share
So much it would seem, for the myth about the "Rich" not paying their share in taxes. I suppose that lie was generated to aide in furthering the Socialist Agenda.. erm.. I mean Obama's wealth distribution ideal. It looks as if the recent IRS data released about various wealth brackets show the richest actually pay well beyond their share.
Taken from the CFIF.org site; According to the statistics, the richest 1% of American taxpayers (those earning above $389,000) earned 22% of the nation’s reported income. But their share of the nation’s income taxes was 40%. In other words, the wealthiest 1% of Americans’ income tax payments are almost twice as much as their “fair share.”
The stats went on and on, all the way down to the 50% top wage earners in America paying 97% of the taxes. Which essentially equates to one half of the country paying for all but 3% of the countries taxes. I'll let you formulate your own ideals as to whom that other half, that only pays 3% is. But I doubt it will take you very long to arrive at a solid conclusion.
You can take a look at some of the tax table breakdowns here at the TaxFoundation.org.
It also appears another gigantic piece of Liberal-bs, turns out to be just that. BS! We've been hearing an awful lot, over and over again, about the wealthy benefiting from "Bush's Tax Cuts of 2001 and 2003," whilst everyone else was left in the cold. To quote Richard Dawson from his Family Feud days, "Survey says...?" XXX! In reality, which Lib's have no real clue about, the top 1% of wage earners only paid 19% of the taxes under Carter. Today, even WITH Bush's tax cuts, they pay 40%.
It's no wonder Congress' approval ratings have dived to single digit approval ratings. Keep voting yourselves raises folks, while the rest of America is plotting to lynch you. I've got my torch and pitchfork ready.
The CFIF article closes out with a very arousing statement; So the next time you hear a liberal candidate, political leader or supporter allege that the rich aren’t paying their fair share, direct them to the actual IRS data.
And tell them that numbers don’t lie – politicians do.

Unwinnable War Being Won: So Says The AP
Which is not good news on any level for the "war is lost and the surge has failed" crowd. To the rest of us, this is fantastic news. Whilst it doesn't signify an all is well and all troops can come home moment, it does signal an onset for a new role for the American Forces in Iraq. A shifting from being primary combatants, to a more peacekeeping role.
As found in the yahoo news/AP piece, where the combat phase is winding down, "the new phase focuses on training the Iraqi army and police, restraining the flow of illicit weaponry from Iran, supporting closer links between Baghdad and local governments, pushing the integration of former insurgents into legitimate government jobs and assisting in rebuilding the economy."
The article written by ROBERT BURNS and ROBERT H. REID, both listed as Associated Press Writers, mention that even though there's still occasional violence, the insurgency has pretty much withered to nothing. They list the former violent acts such as kidnappings, bombings, assassinations and the like have all but ceased.
They gave some numbers too; Statistics show violence at a four-year low. The monthly American death toll appears to be at its lowest of the war — four killed in action so far this month as of Friday, compared with 66 in July a year ago. From a daily average of 160 insurgent attacks in July 2007, the average has plummeted to about two dozen a day this month. On Wednesday the nationwide total was 13.
But most importantly is what they said next. Beyond that, there is something in the air in Iraq this summer. In Baghdad, parks are filled every weekend with families playing and picnicking with their children. That was unthinkable only a year ago, when the first, barely visible signs of a turnaround emerged. God (or in an Iraqi's case Allah,) Bless the American military.
An oppressed people, released from the bondage of a tyrant, a dictator, an International Criminal. A despot who conducted some of the most vile acts in the most despicable ways, against his own people, has been defeated. His following, all but decimated. And now the people are beginning to reap the rewards of what brave men and women did for them.
Burn's and Reid's article finishes out with this statement; Maj. Gen. Ali Hadi Hussein al-Yaseri, the chief of patrol police in the capital, sees the changes. "Even eight months ago, Baghdad was not today's Baghdad," he says.
Let's hope, pray even, if your so inclined, that this continues.

Anti-Obamists Sink Teeth Into COLB Forgery Possibility
It's kind of like a pit bull locked onto a side of beef. There's no chance in hell it's letting go. And it seems that there's more reason to hold fast to it now. As the website IsraelInsider is purporting, digital analysis now shows the Security border doesn't even remotely match any known Hawaiian COLB document. The Isr.Ins. also mentions that the Hawaiian official originally quoted, has further back peddled from her original statements on it's authenticity.
This is not going to go away. At least, not any time soon.
And Obama, will have to contend with this. One way or another. So it actually IS in his best interest, if this really is such a "non-issue" as the D-KOS'ers say, to clarify it once and for all. A mere $10 and two week wait for delivery, and this whole mess will have gone bye-bye.
No more questions on Obama meeting the basic qualification of being an American citizen. No more conspiracy theories over forgery or non-forgery.
Nada.
Zip.
Zilch.
Only Obama or one of his family members can do it. So why not get it all over with now? Why is it, that something so pathetically simple as providing a legitimate paper copy, has become such a big deal? Why not just get it out of the way now, so he can go on to become America's first black President? (Heaven forbid....)
I had made a discussion thread about this a short while back in a Social site. Little did I know it was almost completely populated by Obamessiah trolls. So, as expected, much derision. But some of the lunacy that was spat before the thread was removed... Makes me think that, perhaps America has just become so stupid and self absorbed, that maybe we deserve to be duped by the likes of Obama.
Because if the Obama mind-meld has fully blinded the masses to the point that no one is even interested in checking an issue out, perhaps we do deserve to be led like lemmings over the cliff.

Ghosts Spectres Phantoms: Or Mental Projections
Just one of my side stepping posts I occasionally do. And PLEASE! For the love of anything you may hold sacred, don't take anything in this post seriously. It's just something I dreamed up on the spur of the moment, to toss into the ring about ghosts and the like. It's a very "way out in left field" ideal, theory, whathaveyou, to kick around for fun in a discussion.
So let us begin, shall we?
Just the other night, our video office was reviewing some surveillance tapes. During the tape review, a large cart loaded down with product, which was sitting stationary on one side of an aisle, slowly traversed itself across the aisle. A distance of approximately five feet. The cart had been unattended prior to the movement. Without outside influence that we could see, simply moved under it's own power.
Finding that odd, we dispatched a couple officers to the scene to have a look around. We in fact did determine that the cart was sitting on a very gradual, almost unnoticeable slope, that led down toward a drain underneath the rack. The weight of the product on the cart did the work, with a little help from gravity.
Fair enough. Case of the spooky self propelled cart solved.
Personally, I've never believed in ghosts and the like. I've been in and around too many locations that were supposedly or definitely haunted without effect, to buy into the stories. I do think there may be untapped abilities within an individual. Such as telekinesis, extra sensory perception, abilities along those lines "may be" possible. But I don't believe in ghosts.
But the cart moving got me to thinking a little bit. Not believing in ghosts mind you. But what others believe to be ghosts or apparitions and the like. What is it exactly, that people are seeing, feeling, etc, when they claim, or adamantly deny being in contact with, when the term "ghosts" are involved?
Ignoring the myth of "we only use 10% of our brains" ideal, which has been deemed inaccurate, what if it's not the percentage of the brain, but the order in which portions of it used, that leads to those "abilities" being discovered? Is it possible, and mind you this is where my completely weird and unsubstantiated off the wall theory comes in, that what a person, or group of people see, hear, etc, when they claim ghost, is what they themselves project?
It would be something on a seriously deep subconscious level I know. It would have to involve several aspects at once. Being able to move items around, register a mental picture in their own mind, and if in a group, the minds of others, as well as in some cases, delivery the imagery to recorders like cameras and the like.
I told you it was far fetched.
Have fun tossing this around. And... sleep tight. 8^)

Global Warming Dissension Is Growing: Thankfully
When you have a guy that's been dealing with the weather for about 50 years or more like John Coleman has, you'd think he might know what he's talking about. One kind of should, lend him some credence of having a decent idea of how and why the weather does what it does. If he thinks Global Warming is a scam, then the odds are pretty good that it is. Or should at least be looked into a little deeper before assigning "consensus" to it.
Dissension against global whining, is nothing new. Even Penn & Teller generated considerable laughs, (1.5 million views so far,) at enviro-nazi's expense over alarmism. I personally think the GW scare was dreamed up as a pure money-making scheme. When you consider that "The Goreacle" set up the company that buys Carbon offsets..... ???
So, he is essentially paying himself, to globe trot around in a private jet? Reaping rewards for leaving gas-guzzling enviro-killing SUV's idling for extended lengths of time with the AC blasting? While he heads inside to give a speech AGAINST such actions? And live in a mansion in like Tennessee or some such, that uses 20 times a normal homes energy?
As the article on the National Post says; Do as AL says, not as AL does.
Then there was the petition circulating the net with about 30k+ signatures of scientists arguing against GW directly, or calling for more open debate, as they hadn't bought into the "consensus" ideal. I heard some fantastically absurd arguments about what they weren't. Namely, climate scientists. Wrong. As taken from ClimateChangeFraud.com, "..31,000 U.S. scientists - 9,000 with doctorate degrees in atmospheric science, climatology, Earth science, environment and other specialties.." Sounds like a few more than the handful of enviro's at the IPCC.
Now you have a couple of forecasters who originally claimed GW would begin causing devastating super storm category hurricanes, REVERSING their views. Found on the Heartland Institute site, "Global warming is likely to reduce the number of hurricanes that occur each year, according to two new studies by forecasters who previously claimed global warming would cause more hurricanes."
Toss into this dissension mix, Dr David Evans. Dr Evans, as described in this TheAustralian article, "was a consultant to the Australian Greenhouse Office from 1999 to 2005." In his own words, Dr Evans stated, "I am the rocket scientist who wrote the carbon accounting model (FullCAM) that measures Australia's compliance with the Kyoto Protocol.." Dr Evans wraps up his article by saying, "The Australian public is eventually going to have to be told the evidence anyway, so it might as well be told before wrecking the economy."
My sentiments exactly Dr Evans. It would just be nice if the populace here in America was granted that same type of opportunity.

The Anality Of Excessive Gun Laws
Truth be told, I don't even own a usable firearm. I say usable, as I do have one old WWII Japanese bolt action rifle. But I'd have to home-load my own ammo. And at a cost of about $6 per round, I don't see that being financially acceptable. So I don't count it.
But I'd like to own a couple firearms. Legally. But with the massive barrage of "new and Improved" gun laws that come about every year by the liberal elite that want us to all become timid pansies, it's become a real pain in the ass to decipher what an American citizen can even possess anymore.
For instance, here in California automatic weapons are against the law. Okay, to be honest, I can go along with that for the most part. I do see exceptions, such as Law Enforcement personnel or the like having one in their home. But the average citizen really has no need for a Browning water-cooled machine gun or a "Ma-Deuce." But assault rifles can be owned if they meet a bunch of restrictions. Like if they aren't automatic fire, or the magazine is fixed in the mag-well (because of having a pistol grip), etc. etc. etc.
Same goes with semi-auto pistols. From what I understand, there's a limit on the capacity of ammo a pistol magazine can have. It's something like eight or ten rounds. Something like that.
Why was any of this sort of lunacy allowed?
Let's simplify all this law crap a bit. Are you an American citizen? Yes, I am. (I'm debating the merits of Natural born citizen vs. "naturalized" right now.) Have you been convicted of a felony? No, I haven't. Are you mentally stable, as in, your not undergoing psychiatric treatment, or other anger management issues? Yes, I am a mentally stable individual. Are you able to pass a background check conducted by (insert organization)? Yes, I have no criminal background.
Congratulations, you pass! Welcome to Guns-o-rama-Mart! We carry everything from Red Ryder BB guns to Barrett .50 cal. rifles. Enjoy your shopping excursion!
Yes, it really should be that simple.
Creating such meaningless restrictions as ammunition capacities, is about as brilliant as trying to make cross-training tennis shoes for elephants. The average person, with little more than a week of practice, can learn to change the magazine in a semi-automatic pistol in less than one second. And a speed loader for a revolver in less than two seconds. Ammo capacities are irrelevant.
And with the recent ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States, correctly interpreting the Second Amendment, fire arms will become more prevalent. I think it's become high time to clean house on the myriad of gun laws/restrictions. And to actually focus on the priority of what should actually be classed as legal/illegal weapons. No machine guns. No sawed-off shotguns. No silencers. That leaves pretty much everything else okay.
Might give legal citizens a fighting chance in some of our countries tougher neighborhoods. As it is, I'd hate to think of the fate that awaits a foreign invading army, trying to "roll through" South Central Los Angeles.
But hey, it's just me ranting about liberal anality, right?

San Francisco Strikes Again: Decriminalizing Prostitution
If any measure needs to be added to the ballot in November, it should be more along the lines of "relocating" the brilliant minds of San Francisco. Just find them some little island off the coast of who knows where, and let them live out all their little Utopian fantasies amongst themselves. Because they sure aren't improving the quality of life for Californians.
In yet another effort to promote the sexual excess we've come to know San Fran for, and to decriminalize prostitution, a measure will be added to the ballot in November to de-fund Police activities against prostitution, or other human trafficking. Apparently, they've managed to amass 12,000 signatures to get this measure on the ballot.
The Erotic Service Providers Union is claiming it will save the city approximately $11 Million+ a year in tax dollars. They also mention how San Fran's homicide rate is extremely high and the community would be better served if Police resources were directed there instead of "busting" hookers. Of course, no mention was made that San Fran has had a Washington D.C. style gun ban for some time, which directly correlates to that figure..
Hmm, seems to be a pattern. Big gun bans = big violent crime rates.
Go figure.
A fatality of this mess would be the "John School" program, created in 1996 by the San Fran Task Force on Prostitution. Basically what happens in this school is this. A first time offender, or "john," is provided an opportunity to pay a $1,000 fine and attend a class about prostitution. In return, the D.A.'s Office drops the misdemeanor charge against the offender. The "school" has had a 30% success rate in preventing repeat offenders.
In the end, this ballot measure is just another attempt to legalize prostitution. Nothing more. If they're so hell bent on getting paid for sex, perhaps they should just move to Nevada. We really don't need any more deviance in California.

Obama's Globe Tour: Got To Gain SOME Experience
With pretty much no credentials, period, in the arena of worldly affairs, (or any other affairs for that matter,) Obama has finally decided to take a trip around the world. I don't suppose it has anything to do with him having absolutely no clout amongst foreign dignitaries. Dignitaries that he's expected to have to intermingle with, should he manage to get elected.
Not to mention the calls by those opposed to him, citing said lack of experience.
It's almost revolting to say the least. His "very constructive talks" with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki during his brief stop-over in Iraq, seemed on the level of him (Obama) acting as if he had already been elected President. Rather presumptuous of him, don't you think? Then again, he does have legions of mindless minions that have rallied to his call for "Hope & Change." Which we still have yet to receive a clear definition of.
And the constant-Obama-swooning, "fair & balanced" media will be right there to bring us all the latest and greatest throughout the trip. You can count on that. There won't be a swished basketball shot from "outside the paint" (as described by CBS Evening News anchor Forrest Sawyer) that we won't see in Hi-Def. And I actually foresee the exact opposite happening to what CBS correspondent, Jeff Greenfield predicts. Greenfield says it won't be like Kim Jong Il, with his "state run" media interviews. Obama will face tough questions.
Right. Questions so tough, that the likes of veteran news casters like Katie Couric couldn't even choke them out when in the presence of their messiah. I'm thinking, "How's the weather in (insert middle east country) Senator?" to be pretty much the toughest he will face.
Along Obama's yellow brick roads of travel, he'll be making stops in countries like Kuwait and Afghanistan, as well as many European power nations. Obama will also be, during his trip, getting a chance to sit down in discussions with Gen. Petraeus, among others.
Fortunately, McCain isn't missing a prime opportunity here to insert Obama's beyond lack of international experience. McCain had stated, "I'm glad that Senator Obama is going to get a chance for the first time to sit down with General David Petraeus and understand what the surge was all about and why it succeeded and why we are winning the war,.... I hope he will have a chance to admit that he badly misjudged the situation and he was wrong." McCain to date, has made about eight trips to that region alone.
In the end this is really nothing more than, what we called in the Corps, a "Dog and Pony Show." Something that doesn't really accomplish much of anything, and is only performed to sway the masses.
I'm not swayed.

Pelosi Calls Bush A Failure: Speaks From Personal Experience
As that's about the only experience Pelosi can really draw from, when speaking of failures. But what else should we really expect from her. Her laundry list of failures far exceeds even some of our worst presidents to be honest. I suppose she's just using her arsenal of "Weapons of Mass Distraction" to take the attention off of her failures.
But as her reign of "First Female Failure," erm, I mean speaker, begins to show its age, I expect to hear more of the same in the manner of personal attacks from her against the Prez, rather than the general sweeping rhetoric. It's about all she really has left to show. Speaking of which, as the first FEMALE speaker, she's really not doing women any justice here. What was a "historical first," has rapidly become a "hysterical farce." She should refrain from speaking for a while.
And she has really got to be frustrated these days, from being such an utter failure that is. Her "100 days" scheme blew up in her face. Even after she "re-phrased," it to mean 100 days worth of Congress being in session. Rather than the original meaning of the first 100 days of the takeover. "Oh, oh, she did get the minimum wage raised!" Yeah, and then was shocked when we had a bump upwards in the unemployment rate.
Go figure.
And here we sit, with about four months left on Bush's plate, and she still has yet to pass any form of realistic government spending bill. I'm guessing it's probably been a couple decades (if not longer) since a Congress (ANY Congress,) went this long before getting something, anything, to work in her favor. The thought that Congress has an even lower approval rating than the Prez does, probably isn't helping her much either. Might cause a few problems for her come re-election time. That's gotta be weighing heavily on her mind.
Bush, at the moment, is still hovering around a low of about 30% in approval ratings. Depends on which you go by. A couple even have him down to 28%. But Congress? I can't find a single positive rating anywhere so far, that puts them up into at least the 20% bracket. None. They're all in the 15-18% bracket. Ouch.
Pelosi's best bet? Step away from the microphones and cameras for a bit. Wait until her messiah, the Prophet Obama to assume power, and everything will become peachy-keen.

American "DOOM And GLOOM" Outlook: Media At Fault?
Well A-freaking-mazing! A media personage finally gets it right! And I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I owe ABC's Kate Snow a tremendous "KUDO's to you!" for having the guts to say it. Although, the segment she did that I'm congratulating her on, will probably get her fired. If not, at least some serious mocking from her fellow journalists.
If she continues on this present course any longer, she will definitely get the axe though.
What is it that's prompting me to actually 'praise' a major media outlets newscaster you may be asking? Well, I'm glad you asked. Sunday's good Morning America segment hosted by Kate Snow, was reliving the current economic plight as well as the comment made by one of John McCain's advisers, Phil Gramm. You remember this, the media's up-in-arms about Gramm's comment of "we've sort of become a nation of whiners."
How could we forget that? (More accurately, how could the MEDIA ever let us forget that, right?)
Well, the moment of praise, that is very much well earned by Kate Snow was when she introduced psychologist Kit Yarrow to the show to discuss the "emotional" aspect of the economic plight America is facing today. Snow had said;
"To fall on our sword here a little bit, do you think part of it's our fault, the media's fault, for constantly taking about how bad things are?"
O...M...G!!!!.... Did she REALLY say that? On a nationally televised morning news cast? Yeah, she did. Thank the Lord! Honesty CAN exist in media!
Yarrow's response did little for the media either when she said, "I do, actually. Yeah, I have to say some of it does belong there. Everything is described as a crisis. And, you know, there's really been a preponderance of -- information coming at consumers, I think just the volume of it. And it's described in anecdotal terms as well, which causes consumers, I think, to feel especially fearful. When you describe an individuals personal situation, I think people empathize with that and it makes them feel really afraid for their security as well."
It's unfortunate though, that there is little hope that we will see much more of THIS type of real, tangible, honesty, protruding from our "fair & balanced" media. Shame really, this is the kind of honest reporting that could actually help their sagging ratings. I guess they'd prefer to stay on par or below even Congress' approval ratings.

Washington D.C.'s Sore Losers: New Gun Laws
Being extremely displeased with the ass-whooping the Supreme Court handed them, the Washington D.C. Elitists are moving forward with a "new" gun law to try and stem the tide of Legal gun ownership. Of course, they say it's only a temporary 90-day effect law.
Can we get any more "schoolyard" than this? "It's our sandbox, and we'll do whatever we want in it?" Oh for heaven's sake, get over it and get moving on the next bit of itinerary. No sirree Bob. Were gonna disobey the Supreme Court 'till we're blue in the face.
Okay, so let's go over what D.C. wants now.
They want everyone who will posses a firearm for home defense, to keep it unloaded, in a gun safe, and either under trigger-lock or disassembled. (Most of which fails to comply with the Supreme Courts decision.) Semi-automatics and Automatic weapons will remain illegal. Fortunately, the semi-auto restriction is being challenged by the NRA. Even they understand the potential for problems with a bunch of machine guns running around, even in legal owners hands. As much as they'd like everyone to be able to own Automatic weapons, that's not where they're going on this.
Weapons capable of carrying more than 12 rounds of ammunition are also to remain illegal. Uh, okay. Does this Police Chief even know anything about firearms in the first place? How many people are actually going to go and "specialty order" a revolver that carries 12+ rounds? I know they've gotten .22 cal. revolvers to carry upwards of 10 rounds. But 12? Just resign lady. You just have absolutely no clue, do you?
Then again, SHE did make it from rookie to chief in ONLY 17 years..... Go figure.
Also thrown in the mix is just about any carbine sized rifle, regardless of type. I'll respectfully agree on the sawed-off shotgun part of the new ban, erm, I mean law. They can make a real mess. But yeah, your rifle is toast if it's got a shortened barrel. Factory installed or not.
By the way, they are only accepting gun registrations of ONE firearm, so the department doesn't become overwhelmed with paperwork. And you will have to have your weapon "Ballistics tested" to check and see if it's been used in any crimes. Hello Big Brother gain. Governments just can't keep their noses outta stuff these days, can they? Just gotta keep prying into our lives...
Anyways, there's even more info about this BS on the washingtonpost site. I suggest you read it.

Los Angeles City Council's "Fast Food Ban" Moratorium
L. A. City Council is considering a moratorium to "ban" any more fast food locations from opening in the South Central and related Los Angeles areas. This is based on statistics that about 45% of the restaurants in Los Angeles are fast food joints. Big Brother is just watching out for you it seems. More of the "Government knows best..."
It's all about making sure you stay healthy they say. Apparently, you are completely incapable of deciding what you can and can't eat. And you should not be allowed to make that choice either. I suppose they're still clinging to that age-old crap about obese people, smokers and the like being more costly to care for. So, they want to make sure you understand that you can't care for yourself.
CNN had the audacity to then play a few clips of people who supposedly live in the South Central Los Angeles area. These whiners, were upset that there's no Trader Joe's or other types of grocery stores in their area, and had to travel all the way to Torrance to shop (lift).
Do you want to know WHY, there isn't crap for major grocery stores in South Central, Watts and other surrounding Los Angeles areas? Because they will go bankrupt within a year! They simply can't afford to open up shops in those areas, if they have stores elsewhere.
If you account for all the "extra" expenses a grocery chain would have to fork out of their own pockets, the 30-35% profit margin a grocery store normally runs on, would be DECIMATED. Everything, from the high rate of thefts of shopping carts and shop lifting. Having to hire the extra Security, Loss Prevention personnel and surveillance equipment.
There would be nothing left... Nothing! That sounds like a real good business model, doesn't it? Come and open a store here so you can LOOSE money.
And should you actually choose to open up in some of these areas, and you have more stores elsewhere, say in Beverly Hills, the NAACP will be all over and up in your ass if you boost prices to make up the extra costs. "That would be racist," or "racially motivated" they would claim. Discrimination! And heaven forbid you're an Asian immigrant who pours their heart and soul, everything they have into a store to serve that area. All it would take is for one of the Poverty-Pimps, namely Sharpton or Jackson, to incite one of their riots, erm, I mean "marches," and your dream goes up in flames.
Instead of "Let them eat cake.." the L.A. City Council should be going with "Let them eat Fast Food.."
You can't "force" a business to go into an area, especially when they have nothing to gain and everything to lose by doing it. So can you actually blame Trader Joe's, Kroger or any other chain, for NOT wanting to go into the South Central Los Angeles areas?
I thought not.......

Obama: Your Kids Need To Learn Spanish
You have got to be F'ing kidding me Pyle! Just like that? In front of God and everybody in attendance in Powder Springs Georgia, Barrack Obama declares that OUR kids need to learn to speak spanish. Why? Just because Obama thinks it's embarrassing that most Americans don't speak a half dozen languages like many Europeans do? Are you really that out of touch with America Obama?
Or is he just dead set on really turning America into an Obamanation?
I'm guessing "All The Above" on this one.
Take a look at THIS! Thanks to JJ8722 on YouTube for the vid.
I hate to have to be the one to tell you this, but contrary to your belief Obama, (which I might add is no where near the popular belief,) illegals WILL NOT voluntarily submit to learning English. I personally know of several dozens of them that have been here in the U.S. for over 20 years, and can say little more than, "Hello, how are joo my frienn?" (Intentional bad grammar.) My work location even offered FREE-ESL classes for these folks. Posters, flyers, you name it, written in both English and spanish, were plastered everywhere for months prior to the classes beginning. Several class times available both day and night.
Classes were cancelled by the third day due to extreme lack of participation.
Illegal Aliens do not want to assimilate into American society. Period. And they are not interested in anything other than getting all they can out of America. And attain that, without having to become an American. Amnesty? They could really care less about amnesty. They simply want free access to America's goodies, without the added baggage of actually BECOMING American.
Our kid's should learn to speak spanish... pfft... Obama's ignorance has surpassed the point of being amusing, and has solidly set itself in the realm of the inane. Learn spanish, my ass!

Shamed Into Drinking The Global Warming Kool-Aid
I just had to sit back for a few minutes to laugh when I read this. It's truly humor at its best. This is just too good to pass up, to remind the rest of us who are still capable of individual thought, that the mindless minions still exist. And if you won't drink the GW-Kool Aid of your own volition, the "Green Gestapo" will beat you into submission until you have no choice.
I got this from the ALG.org site e-letter. It's an article found on greenbiz.com about a "New Rating System" for vehicles. This is to be enforced on all 2009 vehicles coming out, but most likely will be seen within the next couple months. ALL new vehicles will be required to post a new Global Warming Rating, along side the vehicles emissions number. It will take into account, not only the pollutants that are emitted by the vehicle itself. But will also include the emissions it takes just to make the fuel for the darn thing!
I'll pause here for a few, for you to regain your composure, just as I had to upon reading that. Like I said, humor at its best.
(Clock ticks away a couple minutes....)
Shall we continue now? Yes, lets.
While the law which is first being implemented in California, to be followed by New York in 2010, is described as being "intended to help consumers take into account emissions while purchasing cars." A similar law being pushed in Europe will allow the governments to put an actual PRICE on those emissions.
Furthermore, "A law endorsed by the European Parliament's Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety would make governments put a monetary cost on the emissions of vehicles they plan to purchase, and add that to expense calculations. The law would exclude certain types of vehicles, such as ambulances and fire trucks."
Now THAT's cool...!!! Firetrucks are serious chick-magnets! I'd rather have a Hook and Ladder truck over a Ford Mustang any day.
LoLjohnz sez, "I can haz a firez truckz pleez!"
But on a temporary serious note, this is just another step in pushing a public into something that it doesn't believe in. Something it doesn't believe in because of an overwhelming lack of credible evidence. Every single shred of data produced in favor of the GW-consensus, has been annihilated many fold, by actual scientists in appropriate fields of endeavor.
I suppose someday soon, just as mentioned in the comments section of the greenbiz.com article, GW deniers will have to wear an identifying patch on their clothing... "Sieg Gore Heil!"

Honor Killings: No Outcry, As It Is Acceptable?
Honor Killings, Honor Killings. Who wants an Honor Killing? And with a complete LACK of any serious outcry to boot. None what so ever. Not from any International Human or Women's rights organizations. None. Where is N.O.W. when you actually want them around?
I don't hear the many nations of the U.N. condemning the act, or similar acts. (Not that that is any surprise, by any means.)
No backlash by "moderate" muslims, calling for equality for women. Or any equality at all for that matter.
The silence, especially on that last note, can be deafening.
But when you consider that under Sharia Law, honor killings are COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE, it's not surprising me that there is complete silence on the issue.
So, what of this latest honor killing? A Pakistani immigrant, Chaudhry Rashid, is now facing some serious charges, including murder, for the death of his 25-year old daughter (Sandeela Kanwal) in Clayton County, Georgia. I guess giving an arranged marriage the ol' college try, just wasn't sitting well with the daughter. So unwell in fact, according to the mother Gina Rashid, that Sandeela had apparently not even spoken to her father for months.
It looks as though the father himself, had arranged the marriage in the first place. Sandeela had apparently not seen her "husband" for over three months or so. The husband (if that's what you want to call him) was living in Chicago, whilst Sandeela was still living at home with her parents.
According to the victim's mother, Sandeela essentially wanted out of the relationship, which was causing some serious friction between the daughter and father. The Clayton Police believe the father off'd Sandeela to prevent any further disgrace to the family, by allowing Sandeela to divorce.
......????
Hmmm, lets weigh the options here. Let the daughter get a divorce and take a little ribbing from your co-workers? Or strangle her to death with a frickin' bungee cord and have your face plastered across the news, around the globe? Sorry, but I'll take the flak for a failed marriage.
By the way, I'll take this opportunity to mention again that under Sharia Law, honor killings are COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE! Why am I mentioning this again? Well, for one, people need to understand that this happens a lot. A lot more than they realize at least. As found in the CNN article, "The United Nations Population Fund estimated in September 2000 that as many as 5,000 women and girls fall victim to such killings each year."
The other reason I presented in my last article regarding the OIC, which you can read HERE. And once under Sharia, honor killings will be the LEAST of our concerns.
But just in case the latest notable honor killings have slipped your minds, here's a small re-cap;
Texas teens honor killing.
London "strong punch Dad" honor killing.
Proud Double whammy honor killings.
I think that says enough.

O.I.C. Equals International Sharia Law
Well the way it's looking now, the O.I.C. (Organization of the islamic Conference) is pushing forward in that travesty called the United Nations, a referendum for "Religious Defamation." In other words, trying to make it an international crime to speak badly about Islam. The thing is, they are also trying to make it an international crime for anyone to convert FROM islam.
Add to that, they are trying to amend the International Human Rights Treaty to be subject to Sharia Law. Essentially, to make it worldly acceptable to start executing infidels. That being you and me. Is anyone else besides me seeing something wrong with this picture?
The OIC which is comprised of about 56+ nations around the globe, on every continent, is trying to make it perfectly legal to kill anyone who;
A: Defames islam in any way. (No more Fitna, Obsessed or mohammed cartoons.)
B: Leaves islam, (especially if they convert to Christianity.)
C: Refuses to submit to Sharia Law. (Dhimmitude isn't even an option in this push.)
Or better understood as, Convert to islam or die. Sucks to be us it would seem.
So, in the spirit of good ol' American sportsmanship, and the pure "will to survive," the ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice,) has started a petition today, calling on the U.N. to deny the amendment, whilst also detailing the parameters of the latest jihadi march there in the U.N.
Here is the text of their petition page;
End Anti-Christian Bigotry!
Around the world, Christians are being increasingly targeted, and even persecuted, for their religious beliefs. Now, one of the largest organizations in the United Nations is pushing to make a bad situation even worse by promoting anti-Christian bigotry wrapped in the guise of a U.N. resolution called “Combating Defamation of Religions.” We must put an immediate end to this most recent, dangerous attack on faith. Please read the form below carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by adding your name to our PETITION OPPOSING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE ISLAMIC CONFERENCE.
PETITION OPPOSING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE ISLAMIC CONFERENCE
To: The United Nations’ High Commissioner of Human Rights
I stand with the American Center for Law and Justice and Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow in grave opposition to the Organization of the Islamic Conference’s resolution entitled “Combating Defamation of Religions.” I recognize this measure as anti-Christian in nature and fully believe it stands in stark contrast to the concept of religious freedom outlined in the International Bill of Human Rights.
As a person of faith, I respectfully call on you to exercise keen judgment and act in swift opposition to this resolution. Our focus should remain on improving existing international law to protect the religious rights and free practice thereof for all individuals.
Feel free to circulate this to anyone you like, the more the merrier.

Pelosi / Reid: How Would You Like Your Crow Served?
Courtesy of our outstanding men and women in our Armed Forces. Pelosi, Reid, "Our troops are murderers" Murtha, and a gaggle of others are about to have a seven course catered meal of Crow. Because that cold day in you-know-where has arrived. And it's in print. I almost feel sorry for those poor bastards in the House.
Wait, no I don't.
But good ol' "Pandering to Terrorist Supporting Nations" Pelosi, and "The surge is a failure" Reid, will be conducting the ceremonious first slice of the humble-pie they brought upon themselves. I hope they enjoy the fine meal, as more of our troops return home from a SUCCESSFUL surge campaign. Our Troops, (unlike the House Dem's,) will no doubt be met with the ceremonial elegance and splendour they so deserve.
The Dem's on the other hand, will be issued the customary Bozo the Clown costumes that are so fitting of their rhetoric and actions over the last few years.
But yes, you read that correctly above, that our troops ARE being withdrawn. Slowly, but they are returning. To date, approximately 25% of them, (four of the five Surge Brigades) have already returned. The fifth Brigade is due to return this month. And this, amidst an 80% decrease in violence from last month.
Violence that continues to remain low, even as our troops are departing the nation of Iraq.
And we're all aware of how well things are going in Iraq, simply based on the extreme LACK of reporting on violence there. The old adage of "If it bleeds, it leads" for headlining news stories, tells us a whole new side to the story. As found in today's USAToday article, Military commanders remain cautious on the situation on the ground in Iraq. But they also see the attainment of irreversible peace arriving soon. As well as the possibility of even more forces being withdrawn from the region just as soon.
Adding to this success, was the attainment of 15 of 18 benchmarks that I tapped out earlier. As well as Iraqi Military and Security Forces maturing to handle the situations that may arise. A maturity that allowed ALL of England's forces to withdraw from Iraq, as Iraqi units assumed control of the English monitored zones.
So, to Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, John Murtha and the rest of you folks who linger in the "Defeatist Zone," I hope your all able to at least partially enjoy your simmering "oh crap" stew. I know I'm enjoying watching it being served.

The "Iowans" Factor: What The Left CAN'T Comprehend
Dare I say that there are probably few areas left in America that can honestly relate to an e-mail like this? I Dare. As it is probably true. But an e-mail like this (even though a generic forward,) deserves fair attention as it directly addresses what a significant portion of America no longer recognizes.
That sometimes, you just have to suck it up, and get to work, because no one else is responsible for doing it for you.
Iowans
A reader from the Wolverine State [ Michigan ] wonders: Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help in restoring Iowa & helping the folks affected by the floods?
Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks (& trailers) are? Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotels in Chicago?
When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees that failed in Des Moines ? Where are Sean Penn & the Dixie Chicks?
Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis shoes & big screen TV sets?
When will we hear Governor Chet Culver say that he wants to rebuild a 'vanilla' Iowa , because that's the way God wants it?
Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports of cannibalism?
Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates white, rural people?
How come in 2 wks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever again?
Response-- Why?
Because Iowans are resilient. Because Iowans will not wallow in self-pity nor embrace victimhood. Because Iowans will roll up their sleeves & get to the heart-wrenching & back-breaking work of digging out & moving forward. Because Iowans are not looking for someone else to solve their problems. Because although Iowans may be amused, bemused, & irritated by the goings-on in Hollywood & Washington , they recognize that neither is a real place inhabited by real people doing real work-- Iowa is all 3.
Because Iowa is bordered by the east coast & by the west coast--the west coast of the Missouri River & on the east coast of the Mississippi--making it an entertainment & political backwater to those in Hollywood & Washington. Oh, Iowans will gratefully accept some dollars from here & some dollars from there, but they will not wait for those token donations to move on with their lives. Because although Iowans may argue passionately among themselves about the Hawkeyes & Cyclones & Panthers & Bulldogs--in times of tragedy, trouble, devastation, & destruction every Iowan readily stretches forth his hands to assist & support his neighbors.
'Is this Heaven? No this is Iowa .' Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) in 'Field of Dreams.'
Sounds like there's still some people out there who can "get things done, well, right..."
What about the rest of the country?

Hey Media: How Many Benchmarks Now Met?
I seriously doubt, that even with severe prodding from the public, will the major media outlets report this. I've thus far only seen it actually reported on, on FOX News. I think CNN might have made a under-the-breathe aside of it. But not actually report it.
And it wouldn't surprise me in the least either, if this great news continues to be ignored. As we all know, good news out of Iraq, means bad news for the Democrats. Those same Dem's that "supported the war, before they were against it." A war based on the same intel that Clinton used to annihilate WMD locations, operating under the guise of aspirin factories and children's hospitals.
Go figure.
What is it?, you might ask, that isn't being reported by the "fair and balanced" (for the Left) media? I'm glad you asked friend. Back during the last major report on the progress in Iraq, it was shown that only eight or so benchmarks out of eighteen had been attained by the Newly installed Iraqi government. While they were considerable accomplishments, the entire report was lauded by the left as a sign that Iraq was a failure.
Unfortunately, for the Lefites at least, the newest report points to a much different outcome. As found in the AP article via Yahoo, FIFTEEN of the eighteen benchmarks have reached a satisfactory measure to date! But, to maintain the lefty image that the AP is steadily garnering, the articles writer, Anne Flaherty, made darn sure to cast as dim a light on it as she could. Her article begins thus;
WASHINGTON - No matter who is elected president in November, his foreign policy team will have to deal with one of the most frustrating realities in Iraq: the slow pace with which the government in Baghdad operates.
Flaherty went on to mention that even though the gains have been considerable, they have been achieved, (in her opinion,) at an achingly slow pace.
?????
Completely annihilate a countries military with as few possible casualties to civilians as possible. Rebuild it's entire infrastructure, schools, power, etc. Get it's government to collaborate between sects better than our own politicians here in America can do. Train enough of their newly created military to perform well enough that England was able to turn over all it's responsibilities to the Iraqi security forces. (No, contrary to Lib's beliefs, [which I might add are not the popular ones,] the Brit's did not leave due to political pressure. They left because their services were no longer needed. Mission Accomplished.) And do all this with the lowest casualty ratio America has had in any major military conflict.
And Flaherty's biggest concern is the achingly slow pace? This lady has bigger personal issues she needs to deal with, above her political bent.
But as I said earlier, I doubt that even with pressure from the masses, will the media bother to bring this "positive" news up for your viewing pleasure. Even under threat of sponsor boycotts. Remember, their goal is complete political take over.
Now aren't you glad we live in a semi-democratic society, hell bent on driving itself to socialism?

Lieberman: America Likely To Be Attacked In 2009
And I would have to say, I agree with him. I do believe that there is a high probability that one of the MANY groups/ sects/ factions/ organizations/ etc., that hate us (and there are plenty,) will try to do something, here, on U.S. soil. And as Lieberman said, it will most likely happen early in the next presidents term.
It does make a considerable amount of sense. And it does raise a very interesting question; That is, who do we want in charge when (if) something does in fact happen? I for one, will not be particularly thrilled if that person is Obama. Even though Ret. Gen. Wesley Clark boisterously stated that riding in a jet doesn't give the command experience required for presidency. Having actually "served" in the Armed Forces is vastly more experience than Obama has.
What doubly frightens me when it comes to the thought of another attack on America, is that Obama has mentioned "dialogue" with some of these nations that hate us. The happy guys, like Ahmadinejad. This does nothing for my confidence in Obama's ability to lead our nation in times of disaster. It just gives me images of millions of foreign billboards going up around the world, of America as a "Paper Tiger."
But Sen. Joe Lieberman, on Sunday's Face The Nation, said that "the United States will likely face a terrorist attack in 2009." Also, that it would likely be to "test the new president." And White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said on Monday, "I think Senator Lieberman, unfortunately, could be right." She added that, "the only reason I say that is because we know that there are people who are very dangerous who are trying to attack us every day."
*****
Food for thought on this note, remember the Fort Dix morons? So we know there are entities that exist, here, who do have the courage to try something. Even if they aren't brilliant. It can and should be noted also that, the World Trade Center truck bombing occurred during Clinton's first term, and 9/11 was in Bush's first term as well.
*****
Perino also stated that, "it's unfortunate that Senator Lieberman could be right, with all these terrorists plotting to kill innocent people — not just in America but elsewhere, amongst our allies, or even innocent Muslims like we've seen in Iraq and elsewhere — they only have to be right once. And we have to be right all the time.”
I'm actually starting to like Lieberman a little bit these days.
I just hope, in this case at least, that he is wrong.
